A Homemade Halloween Sweet Treat!

I'll admit.  Ever since our kiddo's grew up and flew the coop-I haven'tgotten into Halloween as much as I once did.Nope.  There are no spooky goblins and ghosts here at our house. Or even black spiders and terrifying jack o' lanternfaces.And honestly-I can't even remember the last timeI dressed up in a costume!

Monday Morning Musings and More!

Happy Monday, ya' all, and welcome to another edition of Monday Morning Musings!I hope you all enjoyed a spectacular weekend!
We sure have had some GORGEOUS weather, here in our neck of the woods!Unfortunately, I haven't been able to enjoy much of it-since this nasty bug that I've been battling for two weeks-stillseems to have a MIGHTY hold on me!
It's crazy stuff folks!  Some days I feel like I'm finally turning a corner,and have energy to spare-and then others...well, not so much! 

Thankfully, Saturday was a good day, and since it was hubby's birthday-we enjoyed a nice lunch at one of his favorites places-and latertook a drive out to visit mom.Although I'm a bit late-(a lot of leaves have fallen)-I was ableto snap a few photo's of some fall colors, on the way to the farm. I can't tell you how amazing it was to get out of the house and enjoysome much needed FRESH air!  Unfortunately, that little day 'out' really took a toll on me-so yesterdayit was back to rest and plenty of fluids.
Since this virus has settled in my chest-the doctor's are concernedit could progress into pneumonia, so I'll be going backlater in the week for more tests.
 I honestly haven't had the energy to do much more than work and keep up with a fewchores around the house-so I apologize for not havingmuch to share lately, here on the blog.
I truly appreciate your patience, support-and prayers-and I hope to be back 100% very soon!Until then...Blessings and hugs,

Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop # 146!

Happy Tuesday, ya' all!  I hope your week is off to anAMAZING start!  I had to pay the doctor's office anothervisit this morning.  It appears the flu bug I had, has nowturned into a nasty case of bronchitis.  UGH!Oh, well-enough about me-let's take a quick peek at some of my favorites from last week-before we get to the party!
1. Favorite fall beverage- Who wouldn't LOVE a cup of hotapple cider on a cool fall night?  Thinking Outside the Boxhas a recipe that sounds so YUMMY-I can't wait to makeit for our next family gathering!  2. Favorite DIY- I'm obsessed with all things burlap-so when I saw H2O Bungalow's tablerunner-I immediately fell in LOVE!! 3. Favorite Upcycle- Christine, from Little Brags, always has such adorable vignettesin her outdoor spaces-but it was what was under the vignette that caught my eye this time! This spool table (LOVE THE COLOR) wouldbe perfect for our outdoor patio!  (HINT. HINT-hubby)
4. Favorite Recipe- I'm always looking for new apple recipes-and Unusually Lovelycreated a Gilette that looks almost too pretty to eat!-NOT!!!
