Kitchen Makeover Inspiration!
When hubby and I decided to take on the MAJOR project of updating our kitchen, there were two main factors we had to take into consideration.
The first was budget. Since the kitchen isn't the only room in our house that we are doing updates to this year, but IS one of the most important-we decided to split the project into four parts.

Chaos in the Kitchen!
I wish I could tell you that I've been MIA for the last five days, because of some exotic adventure hubby and I were on. Unfortunately, the only adventure's we've been having at our house, is trying to figure out ways to cook up meals, because our kitchen -NAY- our ENTIRE house-is in COMPLETE chaos!

Antique Table Makeover!
Have you ever had one of those weeks where you feel like your running in circles, and accomplishing NOTHING?
Well, that is exactly how mine has been going so far.
Of course, when hubby came home last night, and saw that I'd taken on yet ANOTHER project, he claimed he knew exactly why I am in such a conundrum!

Pretty in Pink!
Last night I was out watering in the gardens, when this pretty little peony caught my eye. It was the first one whose petals were actually opening, and I just couldn't resist bringing it inside.
By this morning it was in FULL bloom!
I have light pink and white peonies as well, but the fuchsia is my FAVORITE!
A full vase of these lovelies would be wonderful.........but I think one

Sensational Sunday Love Links!
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Yesterday, it rained most of the day, so I found myself 'indoors' working on some projects. The first one I tackled was painting the beams in the dining room. Notice I didn't say 'wood' beams. (It's a long story-and I will tell you all about it in a later post!) Anyway, standing on a ladder for most of the afternoon, is not exactly my kind of fun,

Treasures in the Garden 2
The last few nights have been so beautiful, that I've been spending them in the gardens, and re-purposing a few of the treasures I recently found.
When I was digging out the antique dresser from the old house on our family farm (you can read all about that-here), I found some other treasures that I could resist taking home.
An old bread tin is now filled with pretty white Allysum.

Changes in the Dining Room!
If you've been following along for awhile, than you know all about my ongoing dining room makeover. Foyer Facelift!
As I stated in Monday's post, the antique washstand that I made over, has finally found a new home in our foyer!

A fresh coat of paint did wonders!
