How to Cultivate an Abundance Mindset

This week we will continue to step away from less-than thinking and move closer to an abundance mindset. Abundance isn’t something that is only linked to money or material wealth. Limiting abundance to monetary and itemized gain will only limit you in this journey of abundance consciousness. Abundance consciousness can be described as choosing miracles over grievances or choosing to transform your life rather than dwell in the past.
We all at some point in life dream of taking our life to the next level. Life can take a lot of hard work – sometimes even suffering – but we can take that pain and manifest a life we dream and desire. A simple tool to manifest the life you want is envisioning that you already possess everything you want. Talk about your hopes and dreams in the past tense as if it is a memory. The abundance mindset and manifestation are centered around consciously creating your reality by focusing on the power of your thoughts. Life has limitless potential so envision your life as the life you want.
Awakening the powers behind having an abundance mindset means knowing that there is more of everything if we shatter the way we see the world. Why not reach beyond what is initially offered to you? Why not explore spaces that are unknown to you at the moment? Take the time and invite the abundance of the Universe to begin rushing its riches into your life.

Let’s Step Away From Less-Than Thinking – Poverty Consciousness

Hello Spiritual Warrior!

While it’s easier said then done, when we step away from less-than thinking we open ourselves to a vast infinity of abundance consciousness. Poverty consciousness is a mindset that focuses on perceived limitation, also known as less-than thinking. Poverty consciousness – along with fear – can be self-imposed or is projected on us by what we read, hear, and see.

But that’s not who we are!

Whenever you sense you are feeling separate from the divine flow of the Universe or thinking with a poverty consciousness mindset, remind yourself that making choices from an abundance mentality starts with trust. You may have feared trust in the past; but from this moment forward, let’s commit to gently stepping away from poverty consciousness and less-than thinking, and begin to shift into gratitude mode. 

So, how do we begin? I like to start of my morning meditation with a gratitude practice. Once I get settled, and Peaches nestles into my lap, I close my eyes and ask myslef these questions:

What am I grateful for?

Who am I grateful for?

The key: I don’t answer. I simply ask the questions. No forcing, no expectations, I only trust that the answers will come and then flow back out. Sometimes, no answers come – that’s OK. Then, I seamlessly move into my regular meditation. 

Remember that the benefits of meditation, the intentions we set during meditation and the questions we ask ourselves, are not revealed during meditation. They manifest outside of our meditation practice in the real world. That’s where we see the action. 

The truth is that the infinite Universe rests within you and you are the perfect expression of the Divine Principle of Infinite Flow.

Why Meditating Every Day Matters

Hello Spiritual Warrior! If you find yourself resisting what is, this video will help you to allow life to unfold with greater acceptance.

allow life to unfoldAccepting this moment is a beautiful teaching with many different levels. It is the root and the foundation of many wisdom traditions including Buddhist compassion teachings, the Law of Least Effort, and Christ Consciousness. But regardless of your orientation to these belief systems, we can always find personal evolution to allow life to unfold.

Here are three tips to allow life to unfold with greater grace and ease: 

ACCEPTING this moment is perfect, pure, whole, and every moment that has led to this moment was exactly the way it was meant to be. Imagine…this moment is the magnificent culmination of all of your choices; every experience that has woven itself in, around, and through you; and every one of the 31 million seconds that have ticked by in just this year alone! It couldn’t be any other way!!

ACCEPTING that you are a divine being who is sealed in this human body for the span of a lifetime and that you have made choices and decisions throughout your life from your highest level of consciousness at the time. Even though there are choices you may regret or torture yourself about, they are carved in stone and we must accept them, forgive ourselves, and make better choices in the future.

ACCEPTING others for what they are – not as we wish they would be. Allowing people’s differences, quirks, unique vibrations to just be and not necessarily fit into our box of how the world is supposed to be. Allowing others to be as they are. 

Understanding these three levels of acceptance could keep us busy for several lifetimes, but these three tools will help you allow life to unfold as it is. Feel free to integrate it into your life and recognize that wherever you are, every moment of the past is carved in stone and for us to evolve our lives or improve our situation or find deeper fulfillment we must own the moment and allow. 

Level two is where so many of us get stuck. We are our toughest critic and we know all the moments where we felt less than, or were sloppy, lazy, or casual with our decisions. We know when we were unsure of which road to take and we guessed “wrong.” We know where we could have been better, or stronger, or wiser, or more patient, or more truthful, or more engaged.

But in that moment, we didn’t know it… we didn’t have access to a crystal ball of consequences; or maybe we didn’t take the time to really explore the depth of our actions or choices. We have to make the best decisions with the information we have at the moment and allow life to unfold from there. 

It’s a big test in trust and acceptance! So, let’s dive in to this Source video.

How to Allow Life to Unfold & Release Resistance – 1 Tip: Have More Acceptance

Hello Spiritual Warrior! If you find yourself resisting what is, this video will help you to allow life to unfold with greater acceptance.

Emotional Healing Starts Right Now – 15 Minute Guided Meditation

Hello Spiritual Warrior! Allow this 15 minute meditation to nourish your journey of emotional healing.

I recently dedicated an entire month to emotional healing in my MindShift Membership. And it’s a core topic of many of my in-person and virtual retreats.

A gentle start to the the process of emotional healing is to sit with your emotions as they arise and let them unfold – to truly feel them!

When you suppress emotions, you’re likely to express them inadvertently in other avenues by being snide, sarcastic, snarky, retaliatory, biting, harsh, or downright mean to people who had nothing to do with your initial frustration.

emotional healingWe can rise above the constriction by taking time for emotional healing, by learning to sit with our emotions and working toward “owning” these three tools: 

Be able to correctly perceive and label emotionsComprehend emotions and understand what they mean and how that should influence your actionsEffectively adjust emotions to promote personal development, growth, and healing

If you don’t know how you feel or why you feel a certain way, you will experience emotional overwhelm or confusion and won’t be able to communicate effectively, meet your needs, or resolve disagreements.

But if we master our emotional intelligence, we will flow with less stress and make better decisions.

And, the more successful we are at heightening these core skill sets, the happier and more fulfilled we will be.

Emotional healing is emotional awareness!!! Which is sometimes referred to as EQ or EI – emotional intelligence. 

Before I ever shared these teachings with others, I studied emotional healing for a decade under Dr. David Simon, and attended the Hoffman Institute, where I was taught to deconstruct my emotional blue print.

I then spent five years, reconstructing it. 

I began integrating these powerful teachings (and my own experience) into my workshops, immersions, retreats, and Teacher Trainings where thousands have experienced emotional breakthroughs and stepped into their power.

Thankfully, our emotional intelligence can be learned, cultivated and mastered. Emotional intelligence is key to meeting your needs and moving forward in life.

Happy New Year 2022! A Holiday Blessing for Your New Beginning

Happy Holidays & Happy New Year 2022, Spiritual Warrior!

When you release what no longer serves you, you create space for new potential and new opportunities. 

This is the opportunity for a fresh start and a new beginning with fewer binds to what no longer enriches, inspires, or motivates you in the new year 2022.

So much has happened over the past 365 days – highs and lows, challenges and breakthroughs, movement and stagnation, sadness and celebration, beginnings and endings, and through it all – you may have been scared, but you’ve also been brave. Maybe you’ve grown and learned to shed that which no longer serves you. Maybe you’ve blossomed and bloomed, or maybe you’re just now standing at the precipice of a new beginning.

new year 2022And here we are with a clean slate as we move into the new year 2022; an open plan with 365 new 24-hour periods manifest our dreams and desires.

Many times the days will go by, and suddenly it’s spring. Those personal agreements we made with ourselves will have drifted into the ether. Or maybe that which you tried to release has already tried to creep back into your life. 

Why do we float away from the intentions that are so important to us? Why do we fall back to our conditioned patterns; back into the habits that don’t serve us or our loved ones, our bosses, our partners.

It’s just natural and human to revert to our conditioned stories and behaviors. And that’s okay. It’s like a meditation practice. It’s a constant drifting back and firth from attention to distraction.

Stay strong as you step into this new year 2022, a new beginning. The key is putting our dreams out there and slowly, consistently growing into them throughout 2022. Steady consistent effort is key. 

So, this year, let’s dream magnificent dreams. Let’s play big!!

Let’s set meaningful trajectories and remind ourselves each day that the journey of 1,000 miles is accomplished by placing one foot in front of the other… step by step… one day at a time. We have infinite possibilities. You don’t have to accomplish it all right now.

How to Deal with Suffering in Your Life – 1 Simple Lesson to Remember

Hello Spiritual Warrior, this simple lesson will share how to deal with suffering in your life. It is easier than you think.

In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali teaches one way of how to deal with suffering in your life: “The goal of Yoga is not to obtain something that is lacking: it is the realization of an already present reality. Yoga practice removes the obstacles that obstruct the experience of Samadhi, or the state of complete absorption.”

Yoga is one of the ancient paths to reducing and even ending suffering in your life. 

how to deal with suffering in your lifeAs humans, we all struggle, we all experience pain, and we certainly all suffer. Whether it is physical, emotional, mental, financial, or within relationships, we are all bound to suffer at some point in our lives. And that’s completely natural, but knowing how to deal with suffering in your life makes the difference between a life of misery and one of contentment.

A daily meditation practice is the best defense to helping you navigate though the suffering and pain that can come up in life. I also recommend integrating a mantra (you can learn more about that in the video lesson above) to help reduce suffering during meditation or anytime of the day. You can repeat this ancient affirmation to create a little more ease in times of need.

So this month (or week) commit to meditating at least once in the morning and once in the afternoon – you determine what style of meditation and the length of your practice. But by simply committing to connecting to the stillness and  silence within, you WILL SUFFER LESS this week.

Once you meditate with my guided meditation for sleep and manifestation, check out these key steps on how you can begin to manifest your dream life in your sleep! These are only some of the tools you can use, but follow along to cultivate a powerful evening practice: 

1. Follow an evening ritual

Your evening ritual can begin as early as the moment you get home from work, school, or any other activity. You can begin to set the manifestation tone for your evening by dropping into a guided meditation. 

Your evening meditation ritual can be as simple as 16 seconds as you sit in your parked car or a full on 20 minute guided meditation like this guided meditation for sleep and manifestation.

Once you’ve taken time for self-care through meditation, you can move on to the rest of your even practices. This can include drinking water, cooking a healthy meal, taking a shower, journaling about your day, walking the dog, doing yoga, or watching a movie with your family. This can be anything, but try to keep your evening ritual consistent, especially what you do closer to bedtime. What will you include in your evening ritual?

A special note: Meditation before bed isn’t right for everyone. Sometimes it can boost your energy rather than prepare you for bed. Do what is best for you.

Even if you aren’t going to sleep at the same time every night, you want to go to bed at the same time, so you have enough time to settle in, journal, set your intentions, read your personal growth books, and repeat affirmations, and even meditate if you prefer what I like to call beditation – meditation in bed! 

It is important to take time to wind down even once you’re in bed so you ensure you are not carrying turbulent emotions into your sleep. Use that time in bed to build the good vibes and slow down to get good sleep. 

3. Try various manifestation techniques – see what works best for you.

You can journal, visualize how your life would be if you achieved a certain goal, or how you would feel if you reached a goal, or even begin to manifest how you would like to show up in certain situations. When you play the desired scenario several times in the mind, your subconscious registers it and helps manifest.

You can use this guided meditation for sleep and manifestation to begin to manifest your dream life. It will take time, but the more you practice this meditation and your evening ritual, you will see real results unfold in your life.

4. Maintain a gratitude journal before sleeping & after waking up

Before you go to sleep and after you wake up are two great times to express gratitude. One easy way is to keep a gratitude journal beside your bed and write down the things you are grateful for when inspiration sparks. You don’t have to sound artificial, just be grateful about the good things you experienced that day or in your life as a whole. You will begin to notice that you have a lot in life, and the more you express gratitude, the more the Universe supports your journey.

You Are Not Your Thoughts… Increase Your Clarity Now – 4 Minute Vlog

Hello Spiritual Warrior, you are not your thoughts. Your thoughts do not determine who you are. Your thoughts are flickers of your mind.

You are not your thoughts, you are not your mind. You are so much more than that. 

You are a being of oneness and infinite possibilities – you, at your core, are divine. But during this time as a human, we have thoughts, and we must learn to live with them without too much confusion, strain, or frustration

The story in the “Crest Jewel of Discrimination” by Shankara, which is part of my 285 Hour Masters of Wisdom & Meditation Teacher Training, speaks of the man who once mistook a rope for a snake. Check out my video above for the full tale of finding clarity. 

This is a tale of finding clarity amongst the 60,000-80,000 thoughts you experience. Some are true, some are not. It is up to you to find clarity even during the most stressful or confusing situations. And this is what meditation can help you do. 

you are not your thoughtsMeditation allows your mind to become more discerning so you are less likely to become overwhelmed, confused, angry, sad, frustrated, or lost by thoughts alone. Meditation allows you to have more patience and compassion for yourself. Meditation allows you to really experience, from a place of true knowing, that you are not your thoughts.

Learning to sit with difficult emotions is thankfully a skill that can be learned. Merge into Oneness & Connect with Your Divine Intuition Today – 15 Minute Guided Meditation

Hello Spiritual Warrior, in this guided meditation we will merge into oneness and begin the process of connecting with the divinity within you.

You are pure, whole and perfect. But sometimes, things can happen in our life that make us feel less than perfect – that’s adversity. And this is a natural part of life, but it’s still important to know how to work with these feelings.

But, adversity can be the seed of a new beginning or a chance to see ourselves and our lives from a fresh perspective. You don’t have to stay stuck in a place of feeling bad about yourself – don’t live in that mindset! 

Yet, pain can be a powerful motivator. Sometimes in the wake of a tragedy, trauma, or unexpected disappointment, we can dig deep—deeper than we ever imagined—and step beyond our preconceived limitations.

merge into onenessWhen you merge into oneness, you can find additional support too. It’s the support that comes from within – deep within – from your most genuine self – which is pure and perfect and whole and enlightened.

This is the part of you that knows no separation from source – only knows love, compassion, forgiveness, and light – it only knows wholeness and sees all things as ONE. And you are this divinity. There is no true separation, only illusory. 

In this 15 minute guided meditation, you will connect to that place within you and merge into oneness. There is nowhere else to be, nothing else to do, expect be here in this sacred, precious, present moment. And as you follow along in this meditation, as we settle in, breathe, and stay present, you may have a flicker of the oneness, or the divine, that rests within you. 

We’ll use the ancient mantra ayam atma brahma – which means my soul and the Universal Spirit are one. Merge into oneness, connect to Source, and discover the perfection that rests within.
