Inheritance Books – Ivan Cotter

Since it’s World IP Day on the 26th of April, I thought I’d ask some IP related people to tell me about their Inheritance Books. So, this week I’ve got the lovely Ivan Cotter, who has written a book with a patent attorney hero. I’m quite partial to a patent attorney hero myself…

Cotter_Ivan_colourHi Ivan, welcome to Inheritance Books. Please tell us a bit about yourself.

I retired a couple of years ago after a stint of 40+ years as a patent attorney, during which time I wrote non-fictional legal documents. Durin...

Review: A Day at the Office

A Day at the Office

A Day at the Office by Matt Dunn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed Matt Dunn’s previous books so it wasn’t a major decision to buy A Day at the Office. Unlike his previous books, this one had the female points of view as well as the men’s. The entire book takes place over a single day. There’s Mark who is in love with Julie. But Julie has her own reasons for not wanting to encourage him. Then there’s Sophie, who is in love with Nathan (non-geeky IT dude who rides a moped), but Nathan doesn’t do...

Inheritance Books – Cara Cooper

This week’s Inheritance Books are from Cara Cooper.

Hi Cara, Welcome to Inheritance Books. Tell us a bit about yourself.

CaraThank you so much for inviting me on your blog. I write sweet romance pocket novels for My Weekly and People’s Friend. These are bite-size novellas, the sort you can read just in an afternoon on the sofa or a morning in the garden. I also have a serial in progress that I am writing for People’s Friend. My beautiful daughter, pictured with me (left) often helps me at the proof...

Inheritance Books – Sonya Watson

This week’s Inheritance Books are from Sonya Watson.

IMG_1215Hi Sonya, welcome to Inheritance Books. Please tell us a bit about yourself.

I moved to Canada when I was thirteen from Mandeville, Jamaica. I have only been writing seriously for four years but I have dabbled in writing since I was ten. I have a BA in Kinesiology and I am currently enrolled in the Culture and Heritage Site Management program. I hope to start an arts organization that helps artists get where they need to be in order to make a...

Inheritance Books – Toni Sands

This week’s Inheritance Books are from Toni Sands, who is a fellow RNA member.

Hi Toni, welcome to Inheritance Books. Tell us a bit about yourself.

I enjoyed a boringly happy childhood in the Vale of Glamorgan. SandraMay12 031There were many hours of fun on the nearby beaches and I also spent time hand writing my own magazines, creating secret worlds and improbable characters. A secretarial course proved a springboard to jobs in hotels and in aviation as an airline receptionist and airhostess. Back on the gro...

Today I'm welcoming Rhoda Baxter to Jera's Jamboree.

Rhoda Baxter writes smart contemporary romantic comedy. She likes to write about people who make her laugh.

In real life, she's a former scientist who now works in intellectual property. She writes when her kids are asleep. She likes to pretend that sleep is for wimps. She also hears people chatting in her head but that had nothing to do with sleep deprivation.

Inheritance Books – Sue Moorcroft

I’m delighted to welcome Sue Moorcroft to Inheritance Books. I once had a critique from Sue which was probably the most helpful piece of feedback I have ever had. I’ve met her at RNA events since and still regard her with a hint of awe.

Hi Sue, welcome to Inheritance Books.Tell me a bit about yourself.

Portrait of Sue MoorcroftI’m an English person who was born in Germany and lived in Cyprus and Malta, too, until my parents left the army when I was ten. Since then I’ve lived in Northamptonshire. I like reading, Formula...

When the going gets tough, the tough throw a party.

Stevie has always relied on her brother to bail her out of trouble. Now she needs to prove to him that she can be independent and mature. When she takes on a job organising a charity ball for some slightly barmy retired academics, she’s not expecting to fall in love with the rambling old house, the even more rambling family that lives there and Tom, the boss’s son.

Guest blogs and reviews

I’m whizzing around all over the place bigging up Having a Ball. So today, I’m over at Van Heerling’s blog taking his three questions challenge. He asked for things for which I was grateful. I chose the NHS :-)
