CHEERS, CAVANAUGH BLOGFEST

Hosted by  Mark “The Madman” Koopman, ”Marvelous” Morgan Shamy, Stephen “Breakthrough” Tremp, and David “Kingpin” Powers King,
A toast (roast) to Alex Cavanaugh (the Ninja Captain)!

Alex, I think what we are all saying is, we appreciate you.
I know that you always ensure your followers
are never forgotten and I have found that you
always try to help wherever you can.
Although I still do not know how you do it!
I am glad I stumbled upon your site
and feel privileged to
have gotten to know you a little.
Here’s my answers to the four questions:

In +/- 20 words, what does Alex look like?

Honestly, this is such a well guarded secret, I really have no idea. I am sure Alex's features show his kindness and compassion for others. I am not saying that he must be homely then, I bet he is one hell of a spunk!

In +/- 20 words, who could play Alex in a documentary? (Living or dead.)

I would like to see Brad Pitt play Alex in a documentary as he is great to look at.

In +/- 20 words, who does Alex remind you of?

Alex reminds me of a teacher from school, who is always there to lend a hand and give guidance to his followers.

In +/- 100 words, (excluding the title) write flash fiction using all these prompts:

Cavanaugh
Ninja
IWSG
Cosbolt
Guitar

Landing the Cosbolt as easily as his creator took on the title of Ninja Captain, Byron slid open the cockpit and climbed out, stretched and headed towards his quarters.
Passing through the dining hall he found some new recruits playing an old fashioned instrument from Earth.  Byron wondered if the guttural up-beat tempo was what they had intended to play on the guitar. If so it certainly was a far cry from the light and sound experience of the Fesellan.
The letters I W S G and Cavanaugh flashed on his computer screen and Byron wondered what they stood for. He tried to delve deeper but the station alarms sounded, he was being called back to his Cosbolt. Would this war with the Vindicarn ever cease?

For Bonus Points:
In +/- 40 words, leave a comment for Mrs. Cavanaugh - thanking her for sharing J

Thank Ms. Cavanaugh, for allowing Alex to spend so much of his time on his blog giving helpful hints and support to all of us out here trying to find our way. We are all very grateful for your patience and understanding.

EXPRESS YOURSELF

HostsJackie@Bouquet of BooksandDani@Entertaining InterestsThe question this week - What's your most memorable holiday gift? (present)  I have left this post a little late this week, too many other things have gotten in the way!
So, I am apologizing for my lateness!

The best ever present I have received for Christmas would have to be my push peddle car, when I was a little girl. It was a vibrant blue colour and so very modern! I had such a fun time driving down the road of my parents house, (we lived in a dead end), so it was possible to drive on the road without getting into too much trouble.  I was the envy of every kid in the neighbourhood!

INSECURE WRITERS SUPPORT GROUP

THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH
IT IS TIME FOR

INSECURE WRITER'S SUPPORT GROUPTo find out more about this group, visit:Alex J. Cavanaugh (The Ninja Captain)
at http://alexjcavanaugh.blogspot.com.au
I have added my name to so many blog hops and fests this month that I do not really know how I will be able to be involved in all of them to the degree of commitment I would like....
How does one turn an blind eye and not get involved in them?
I always have this urge to add my name to the linky list, to become involved, maybe meet new people and widen my audience and potentially increase book sales, because honestly this is our main purpose.
I also feel a need to pay back my supporters and try to help with their book releases and cover reveals. Because of this my TBR list continues to grow and then I place myself under another stress, trying to read the large number of books which seems to never stop growing!
Has anyone found a way to juggle and balance these insecurities? If so, I would love to know, how you have achieved it?

Desolate (Desolation #2) byAli Cross (Goodreads Author)BLURB:Where darkness lives, all becomes desolate . . .

It’s been two months since sixteen-year-old Desolation Black chose Earth over Hell and her friend Miri over her eternal love, Michael.

Desi goes through the motions of life: school, training, remaining vigilant against the forces of darkness, but her dreams are full of the choices she wishes she could change. When she’s injured by a strange demon, old temptations arise, and the lines between good and evil blur. Desi discovers those choices aren’t so final after all.

And this time, the power of love—for a friend, for a lover—may not be enough to save her from the darkness that lurks within  TEASER:
Father chuckled, an easy sound that grated against my nerves. “Feel how the division within you is a weakness. It’s not too late to rebuke it and embrace all that you can Become—all that I created you to be.”

So how did I go with my November goals?
Continue blogging and participate in the hops I have committed to.Re-edit and publish Book One in The Protectors.Start writing the vamp / journalist storyTry to find reviewers!Well, not very well, but I did attempt them. I did a lot of No. 1, probably fell into this trap a bit too much, which restricted time allowed for my other goals.  I did very little work on the re-edit, although I did a little writing of the vamp/journalist story and I did send off copies of both books to reviewers.

So a bit of a so-so month. Will try to achieve more in December, being on holidays will help, I will have more time.

DECEMBER GOALS:
I will try to re-edit and re-publish Book One in The Protector series.Continue with writing the vamp / journalist story. Try to find time to connect with my followers, I have been a little slack with this lately. And as I have somehow committed myself to an awful number of Blog Hops and Fests, I will also be busy involve with those.

EXPRESS YOURSELF

HostsJackie@Bouquet of BooksandDani@Entertaining Interests

This week we are to list 5 imperfections about yourself that might bug the hell out of those around you and yourself as well.

My main annoying habit, which I just cannot seem to curb is during conversations, i tend to butt in with my thoughts instead of politely waiting for the person/s to finish what they are saying.  I know this is annoying and I don't do this to be rude, it is just that I find that if I don't get out what my thoughts are at that moment, then and there, I will get lost in some other vital piece of info and tend to forget what I wanted to way previously. I frequently make a mess of myself when eating and avoid wearing white, because of this annoying habit.  I seem to loose my food from my fork on the way to my mouth and it really does annoy me!  I am a bit of a recluse. I am quite happy with my own company and don't seem to need other people or places to be entertained.  This really annoys my husband as he is someone who loves the company of others.   I put the cleanliness of my home, before going out to socialize.  I need to learn how to balance this aspect of my life better. I am sure my neighbours would say that they are annoyed by how I like to play music loud and the type of music I like to listen to. (indie rock, punk, scream-o)

THE DARKNESS FALLS TOUR - KRYSTAL WADE

 e-Book and Print: Amazon - B&N - KobOLinks: www.krystal-wade.com www.facebook.com/author.krystalwade
Last days to check out Krystal's Wildest Moments Blogfest!

Wilde's Meadow is the third book in the series and I am sure this book will also be a great read, so check it out!

ADD IT TO YOUR TBR LIST    Blurb:
Happy endings are hard to find, and even though Katriona is in the middle of a war with someone who’s already stolen more than she can replace, she aches for a positive future with her Draíochtans.
Armed with hope, confidence in her abilities, and a strange new gift from her mother, Kate ventures into the Darkness to defeat a fallen god.

Losses add up, and new obstacles rise to stand in the way. Is the one determined to bring Encardia light strong enough to keep fighting, or will all the sacrifices to stop those who seek domination be for nothing?

About the Author: Krystal Wade can be found in the sluglines outside Washington D.C. every morning, Monday through Friday. With coffee in hand, iPod plugged in, and strangers--who sometimes snore, smell, or have incredibly bad gas--sitting next to her, she zones out and thinks of fantastical worlds for you and me to read. How else can she cope with a fifty mile commute?

Good thing she has her husband and three kids to go home to. They keep her sane.

Finale (Hush, Hush, #4)  Finale   (Hush, Hush #4) byBecca Fitzpatrick (Goodreads Author)Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.TEASER:
The idea of war turned my stomach into a bundle of knots, but I didn't want to show ear in front of Dante.  he already thought I couldn't handle myself. "So which is it? re you my pseudo boyfriend or my personal trainer?"
