Ask Ally

Okay, gang.  Because many of you have been asking, I've decided it's time for another round of Ask Ally!

For those of you who don't know, this is when I open up the comments section to questions for a week or so, and then I close it off to NEW questions and go through and answer what I can.

Check out a past example here.

Now, some groundrules, suggestions, and pleas for help.

1.  Please READ ALL QUESTIONS before posting your own.  Duplicate questions will be deleted.

2.  Please ask no more than 2...

Blog in bullets

One of the things I heard over and over on tour is how frequently many of you check the blog for updates. Thanks for that. And I'm sorry that sometimes I get too wrapped up in other things (like...ya know...writing the books) to post.

But I promise I'm going to try to do better about adding stuff. Even if it's little stuff. How does that sound?

So here goes. A blog in bullets.

-I really need t send out a newsletter because, whoa, lately we've had a lot of news! Drew Barrymore...

It's time again to support the world's hottest thief, W. W. Hale.  Thanks to everyone who voted last week to get Hale into the second round of the YA Sisterhood's YA Crush Tournament.

And now Hale needs you to vote again!

Thanks,

FAQ--the post-tour edition

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Now that I've been home for a few weeks I've had a chance to think back on it and compose a list of the most Frequently Asked Questions I got on tour.  Since the odds are that the questions people had there are the same ones people have here I'm doing a very special FAQ post today--the post-tour edition!

Enjoy.

HOW MANY HEIST SOCIETY BOOKS WILL THERE BE?
I'm honestly not sure.  I've always seen this series being far more episodic than the Gallagher Girls.  I don't...

Around the World and Back Again

Hey everybody!

First, thanks for the kind words about the title and description for OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF TIME.  It feels good to finally have a title and a description both for me and for all of you even though I've known what was going to happen in this book (or the general premise) since I was writing book 2 or 3.  Seriously.  I knew the plot for this one before I knew the plot for book 4, so it's been a long time coming.

Sadly, though, the book still isn't finished.  I may be a bit radio...

Out of Sight, Out of Time

Hi everyone,

As you guys know, it's been pretty busy for me lately--so busy that I'm afraid I didn't get around to something I was really looking forward to...

Announcing the title and description of Gallagher Girls 5!

But, as usual, the internet has not been so lazy, and now I know that the information is out there, so it's time I share it here as well.

So here goes.

Gallagher Girls 5 will be...

OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF TIME

in stores March 20, 2012

With more than a million Gallagher Girls books sold, ...

Heist Society movie news!

Hi everyone!  And a happy Fourth of July Weekend to everyone in the States.

I'm back from an amazing tour for UNCOMMON CRIMINALS.  It was so much fun talking to everyone who came out to get their books signed.  The stores were so supportive and most of them still have a ton of autographed copies of all of my books, so if you're in the market for a signed copy, call around.  I bet you can find one and get it shipped to you!

Of course, a huge part of tour is always doing Q&A with the crowds that ...

Bestseller!

Tonight I write with huge news and a massive thank you because...

UNCOMMON CRIMINALS will debut on next week's New York Times Bestseller list at number 3.

It's important to note that I didn't do this--all of YOU did this! And I'm thankful every day.

Tour update

Greetings from St. Louis!Wow. The St. Louis County Library did it again last night. How much do I love them? Answer:so, so much. They had emeralds and laser beams and the most awesome bunch of readers with amazing questions. A truly great night. But that is just the beginning, I know because today I head to Chicago and one of the truly great bookstores, Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville. If you live in the greater Chicago area, please come out to see me. It's going to be great. And, Atlan...
