Mini Blog: release dates

Hi everybody!

I hope you're all having a great week.  I'm working hard on Heist Society 3, but thought I'd pop in to clarify something that I seem to be seeing a lot in blog comments these days.

Seems like every day at least one person will say something along the lines of WE SHOULD MAKE ALLY RELEASE GG5 FASTER.  Or WHY WON'T ALLY RELEASE THE BOOK EARLY?!  Or somesuch.

Well, there are actually two things you all need to know on this subject.

Hey Everyone!

I want to apologize for not posting a blog yesterday for Molly Mondays. My computer has been acting really slow recently and I had to bring it to the store for the second time this week :-( I am crossing my fingers it is fixed for good now!

5 Random Things

#1.  Last night Jennifer Lynn Barnes and I decorated the Pajants.  It was epic.  And awesome.  And epically awesome.  (There was sewing.  And ironing.  I felt positively domestic.)

 

 

#2.  I had a really great Thanksgiving and hope all of you did too.  There was pie and turkey and oodles of family--just the way it is supposed to be.  My only regret is that Thanksgiving is now so utterly overshadowed by Christmas.  And not even REAL Christmas but this overbloated commercialized...whatever.  I...

Pajantsgiving!

So many of you are probably familiar with Ann Brashares's brilliant novel (and its sequels) THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS.

What you may not know is that several months ago a group of very cool authors started a similar thing.  It is called the Twitterhood of the Butt Lifting Pajants and in just a few short months a whole slew of YA authors have worn the Pajants, signed them, and sent them on.

A quick note about the contest

As you'll see, most of the winning designs are very clean in their design. They are also very professional looking (I don't think we've ever had a winner that was hand drawn.)

The winners also are also very likely to look good printed up--not too many colors or lines--just clear, simple designs that show a person's love of the book...

Well, I guess it's official. Several months ago I sold two new books to my publisher, and today the news went out in Publisher's Lunch:

Children's: Young Adult
