From Tweet to Triumph
Tips on the social networking ins and outs of Twitter and how they can make you a successful writer
This month we have been talking a lot about
using Twitter for various important things to increase your success as a
writer. The thing to remember however is that making a Twitter account and
posting some clever 140-character tweets is only a very small part of the
battle.

Self-Publishing and Twitter: Does It Help Your Book Sales?
The nature of the business is to write and sell your books. This much any writer will agree upon. The nature of the business is to build enough momentum that you will have sales over time and will not need to write as often or as much to make money with it. This is not to suggest that you won't write but that you can write what you enjoy more frequently.
With this in mind how does a social

Twitter Me This
Tweet your way to success as a writer
This
month we are starting to explore the many social media outlets that you as a
writer can use to improve your online presence. We sometimes take for granted
how well plugged in we are to all things online, but I challenge you to not
check Facebook, Twitter, News pages, Email, or any other internet outlet for a
couple days. I know (

Social Media and The Writer
Managing your online presence as a writer with social media
This
month is all about boosting your online presence as a writer using social media
outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. Social media really does let
you reach out to people you wouldn’t normally be able to all around the world. For
me, marketing or promoting yourself on these outlets is a lot like

Do You See Me? Self-Publishers Need To Be Seen By Social Media
I have a self-published book. I can make this statement as much as I want, and I will still have people look at me in an odd way. It is not something that I am upset about, but, I find it rather amusing that people don't realize I am promoting my book. It gets the conversation going. I think that it gets others talking.
I enjoy interacting with people, and I enjoy working with the written

The Power Trip to Nowhere
What writers can learn from Choose Your Own Adventure books
I don’t know how many people remember those
stories that were called “Choose-Your-Own-Adventure,” but there is something to
be said for relinquishing some of the writing control to an audience. It’s not
so much laziness as it is a chance to reach out to the reader and make them
feel more involved

Are You Ready? Blogs, Authors, Platforms and Publishing
This coming month, we will be writing about blogs and authors. It is not easy be a writer, and there is an important aspect to it which most people tend to forget. They need to have a voice. Not just a voice in the 'real world' but a voice online.
I know that it is not easy to publish a book, and it is harder to get people to read more if your first book isn't "up to par" but there is a flip

Amidst the Shadows
How showing your face and your voice can make you a successful writer
Last week we spoke
a bit about the importance of reaching out to your audience: making sure they
see you as a person and not just a book. But how do we really go about doing this?

Do Your Readers Believe You Are In It For The Money?
I have read and enjoyed a lot of books, I admit that I read anything that people ask me to read, and I read anything that strikes me as interesting. What I don't enjoy reading is something that makes me feel that I bought a too short book for the price I paid.
I understand that writers are, in many cases, writing to earn a living with something that they enjoy doing. I understand that this is

What Do Your Readers Think About Self-Publishing?
Years ago no one would care to admit that they might have self-published a book. Years ago, to self-publish meant that you didn't "have what it took" to find that publisher willing to take on your book, and when you told a potential reader this fact, the chances grew that they would not buy your book.
It's wonderful to see that things have changed.
I am not suggesting for an instant that you
