Then we got to come home, inspect it all and see what we had. Now I'm a mom and I get to do this with my kids. My first born, who is now 10, I didn't take him trick or treating until he was 3. Mainly because where we lived at the time, there weren't many neighborhoods. Not to mention I was an anal mom who followed a schedule. My son enjoys schedules too, my daughter, not so much.

Here is a photo from our first time going trick or treating. My son was so cute in that spiderman outfit. When he finally figured out he had to walk down someones driveway, ring the doorbell, and he got candy. He'd RUN for the houses, his little head sticking out of his costume. And here they are from last year. The son just gets by now with costume in order to get candy. He'd much prefer to go as himself, but I told him he wouldn't get candy. The daughter wants to be cute, yet scary at the same time. Now that you've seen my adorable kids (and I stare at my son's photo, amazed at how much more mature he looks from a year ago), let's get onto the prizes of this blog hop! The Blog Hop Grand Prize... System Overload...

GIFSoup Whoops! I recently bit off more than I could chew. I had done so good this year not overdoing releases or edits. I'd made this mistake before! I'd thought I had everything spaced out nicely. I both self-publish and have publishers. Typically I know the release dates in advance for the ones with publishers and I can kinda squeeze in my self-pubs between them.

Well, then The Temp series happened and it caused a system overload. Sure, I could've waited to release this awesome series, but I love it so much I wanted it out to the world. On top of the Temp Series, I have a stand alone releasing titled Ticket To Love, and 2 books in the Carver Ranch Series - Second Chance Holiday and Counting Cowboys. All  before December!

Oh, and if having releases with lots and lots of edits wasn't enough, I decided to start a new business.
GIFSoup When I decided to hop right in and become a Wellness Advocate for DoTERRA, I didn't stop and think about my fall releases. So on top of edits, releases, and writing future books, I've been crafting a new website LiveWriteLoveOils, and trying to spread the word to friends about my new business.

*Sigh* - My system is overloaded. However, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. The past 2 weeks were hectic. I had so much going on I felt like I never got up from the computer. I did try to make a point to get out of the house a few hours a week and hang out with friends. Otherwise I'd lose my mind. Already, this week is looking easier. Not so much on my plate. More time to just write. I have a few busy days this week, but it seems like nothing compared to the previous weeks. 

Sometimes juggling life and work is hard. But I got through it by making lists about what had to be done each day and what could be done the next.

Fall is my favorite season

For me, it's usually a toss up between fall and spring for a favorite season. But fall always wins over just a little. Mainly for the smells. Weird, right? I love the scents of this season. The apple, pumpkin, cinnamon, caramel, the list goes on. I am a big scent burner in my house. I love the wax cubes and have one going all the time. I could probably eat my house when the scents are burning. I live in Georgia and we have a pretty fall. In October the leaves will start changing colors. We'll have the reds, oranges, browns. I wish it stayed pretty longer, but the leaves drop pretty quick. The temperatures are perfect. I'll have my windows open most days with no AC or heat on. A cool breeze will keep my home comfortable. The temperatures will be in the mid  to high 60's or low 70's. And it will stay that way until November when it begins to get colder.

Some years I decorate the house for the season, some I don't. I'm itching to decorate this year. I'm looking forward to Halloween this year. My kids are getting older. My son already goes off with friends usually and does his own thing. I still have my daughter who wants me with, but who knows how long that will last. It won't be long until she wants to stretch her wings and have a little more independence.

Happy fall, ya'll! Tis the season of yummy smells , Thanksgiving, warm beverages, and some good outside time when we feel the weather is almost perfect. -Lacey

Neil set his napkin on the table. “Would you like to dance?”

Dance? Now? “Aren’t we eating?”

“I think we’re more picking at it like birds.” He leaned closer. “To be honest, I need an excuse to be close to you. I want to feel your body in my hands.”

Krista took a moment to imagine it. They’d be intertwined; his hand would be on her bare back, right above her ass. He’d probably rub his hand up and down her spine, and it would send chills. She was turned on just thinking about it. But he had a point, she wasn’t going eat each much. Her nerves were on the high end.

“Sure,” she answered.

From his phone, he did something and soft music started to play. Neil stood and offered his hand to her. He led her to the middle of the plane and pulled her into his embrace. Both of his hands settled on her waist, and hers laced around his neck.

It felt right. Like she was where she was supposed to be. She stared up into his eyes and wondered if he tried to kiss her, would she let him? The feel of his lips on hers. Ugh, she was falling in much too deep. But how could she not? An older—and obviously rich man—had her on his private jet for a date. This didn’t happen every day.

She might as well enjoy it, because this could be the only time this happened.

“You feel so right in my arms,” he whispered against her cheek.

Krista nodded, knowing she couldn’t form any words.

She laid her head on his shoulder and almost moaned out loud when one of his fingers traced her spine.

“It’s taking every ounce of my control to not kiss you right now, Krista.”

It was taking everything in her not to shove him down on this floor and have sex. If his hand even went inside of her dress, she’d throw all inhibitions out the door and get down and dirty with this man.
