Inklet Of The Week!

And now, for unknown reasons, I am singing ‘Inklet of the week!’ to the tune of Another One Bites The Dust. (I do not apologise for this earworm. It’s 3:35am on Monday morning and I’m up with insomnia, the least you can do is share my earworm at some vague point in the future, HA.)

*ahem*.

Segue.

Yes, another week, another Inklet to share with you all! Technically the Inklets come out on the 1st and 15th of every month, but given I basically haven’t blogged in 18 months there is a ba...

#MadeItMonday: IDK, Is It Cake?

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

It is cake? Why yes, yes of course it is cake. HOWEVER I’m being...

Getting Into The Rhythm Of Things

Habits are so dang difficult, aren’t they? All the will in the world, and you still can’t just MAKE yourself Do The Thing that you actually really want to do.

It’s terribly frustrating.

Hence my lil grid of boxes at the back of my diary for the year, a tiny incentive to nudge myself onward every time it feels especially HARD to get to the novel and actually write.

Not that any kind of bribery works for long. I have a bunch of virtual post-its up on one of my desktops, and a handful o...

As Time Whirls Slowly Past (aka Inklet Of The Week)

Inklets are a collection of unrelated short science fiction and fantasy stories published by Inkprint Press on the 1st and the 15th of every month. See the whole collection here.

This week’s story is a delightful little contemporary piece* As Time Whirls Slowly Past, a slice-of-life story capturing the end of the day for one tired mama as she remembers to make space for the important things in life.

* See? I can totally write things without magic or technology!!

A peed-on stuffed...

Yeah, This Is Not A Novella (Kaditeos Series Update)

Been a long, long while since I did a writing update, mostly because it’s been a long, long while since I had writing to update about, AH HA HA.

*ahem*.

So, the planio as it stands is something like this, because apparently my poor lil ADHD brain is incapable of writing two books in the same series back to back without DYING OF THE BORE, *but also* because I’ve decided I want all 5 books in the mainline Kaditeos series done before releasing them.

Current WIP: Define Good, the second ...

The Complete Sanctuary Series Is On Sale!

If you’re an ebook reader and in particular a Kobo person, you might be interested to know that The Complete Sanctuary Series is on sale at Kobo from today through to the 30th in Canada, United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand 🙂 That link’ll take you to the direct listing for the book, but you may need to go to the Kobo homepage and look for the sale items to find it actually on sale – can’t remember how the specifics of this particular sale are operating.

EDITED T...

New Inklet: Some Impropriety Expected

Hurrah! It is now/has just been the 15th globally, which means the next Inklet is out in the world!

I can’t believe we’re up to #88 already. I remember noting at the start of the year that this one would be out in mid-August, because the main character is named after a friend, and August felt like such a long way away… And now it’s half over o.O

I swear, if the apparent rate of time passing continues to accelerate like this, by the time I’m 70 a year is going to feel like it’s only a mon...
