The Kickstarter Is Here And I Need 10 People! :D

A slightly cheeky title, but true: I need only ten more people to sign up for a paperback of my darling poetry book, Change Becomes Us, and the Kickstarter campaign will fund ($12AU + shipping for the paperback, in case you’re wondering.)

Regardless, do pop on over and have a look at how pretty it is, and jump onto Instagram and haunt my account the next few weeks if you’d like a taste of the poetries, because I am going to share a bunch there this next month to celebrate Change Becomes Us ...

Change Becomes Us, My Very Personal Poetry Collection

Oh my word, this book.

This was not a book I meant to write. In fact, as I began it back in approximately early September, it felt like a complete distraction from what I was *meant* to be writing, which was Define Good, the next Kaditeos book.* Define Good had been going quite well, but then all of a sudden… I stopped being able to write fiction again.

* We will discuss this at a later date. For now, best not to ask questions about that series >.

Longtime readers will know: fiction i...

New Month, New Year, New Everything

Happy 2023, my lovely people. I know, I know, it’s been 2023 for a little while now, but here we are. Here *I* am, for the very first time in my life starting a year without also starting the school year.

It’s weird, it’s disorienting… And it’s going to be good. Once I retrain my brain a little first 🙂

Where to start? Oh, I have so many things to update you on

I’m writing regularly again. I’ll update you on that tomorrow and maybe even do a sneaky cover release, since this is a book I...

Friday Favs

Phew, it’s been a bit of a rocky few weeks, but we made it. Well done us, go team.

(I’m okay, I just both got myself quite overtired with a few very booked weekends, AND realised that although I have improved my levels of burnout SIGNIFICANTLY since June, I am still actually highly burnt out and need to be gentle with myself around that.)

But hurrah! We made it to here, wherever ‘here’ may be, and we can celebrate with some Friday favs 🙂

Things I have been appreciating the last couple...

Last 24 Hours For Inklet Kickstarter!

Very happy with how this little campaign has gone. Coming back after radio silence for a year I didn’t know how well it would go, but it’s equalled about average for what I’d expect for one of our small books, so that’s very exciting. I know, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to most Kickstarter campaigns, but as a tiny (read: one person/two author) press, ever dollar helps (so much!) and even these small campaigns make a really big difference to the press’s budget each year. So: HURRAH! The ca...

When War Came To Town

This week’s Inklet is When War Came To Town, one of my Powers short stories – a loosely connected cycle of stories about the Powers, superhero-type figures that are reborn endlessly throughout history and who work in opposition to maintain the balance of the world.

When War Came To Town focuses on, oddly enough, War – but also on Peace, and more specifically on the awakening of a new bearer of the mantle of Peace – in a way that everyone else finds somewhat surprising 😉

The small tow...

#MadeItMonday: Another Birthday Cake

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

This one was another birthday cake, chocolate mud cake with salt...

You guys. YOU. GUYS.

It is November, and this is Momentous, because it means that the November upload coupons are now available, which means: I can upload the LAST EVER FINAL FINAL PRINT FILES FOR INKLETS!!!!!!

Look at my pretty spreadsheet (which you probably can’t actually read because it’s too small, but THAT’S OKAY, JUST MARVEL AT ALL THE GREEN = COMPLETED ON IT)!!

I’ve approved the final print files for the last batch of Inklets, which was numbers 97 – 100, and now I just ne...

Caught In The Act

It’s time for the Inklet of the week!! (And don’t forget the Kickstarter for all the Inklets is still running!)

Today, however, is official birthday of Caught In The Act, a lil sci fi heist story that I wrote for a course a year or so ago. I thought, when I started writing this, that it would be about stealing time and therefore time travel or some such. BUT NO. Instead, pinging off an article I’d read recently about gene drives, it became… this.

Thanks to Lifetime Clinic’s time cap...

So this is DEFINITELY not something I made this week, but I came...
