Notable Classics: A New Thing I Apparently Do?

Wow, are we shocked, Amy has a new project 😛

Actually, this one’s kind of an older project now, because I did it back in, like, June, but anyway.

Long story short, I really really wanted to teach The Loved One with my current Year 10 class, but the person at school who is responsible for ordering such things informed me that there were no print copies available in bulk that could reach us in the several months before I needed to teach it (hi covid, thanks for that).

So I did what any ...

A Parade Of Echidnas

So I discovered in writing this post that a group of echidnas is called a parade?

This seems strange to me, because echidnas are quite solitary creatures and definitely would not parade?

Nevertheless, here we are. Echidnas. Parades.

Anyway, I randomly thought it might be fun to share all the echidna photos I’ve collected during the last three months while we did weekend wanders at the local wildlife sanctuary. So, for your viewing pleasure: a parade of echidnas 😛

Made-it Monday: Braids :P

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

Yes, I am being super dodgy this week and posting braids as a Ma...

Fan Kits & Fan Kit Minis

Today, a random reminder that a bunch of my books are available with either Fan Kits or Fan Kit Minis!

What’s a Fan Kit (Mini), you ask?

WELL. LET ME TELL YOU, BECAUSE I AM EXCITED.

Fan Kits came from the idea of a book subscription box, which is where you sign up for your box-a-month and get a special edition of a book along with a bunch of themed items. The themes are usually general themes like mermaids, or secrets, or love triangles, or other such things, and the items that come ...

Apparently I’m A Bigger Wheel Of Time Fan Than I Thought?

I’ve tried to read the Wheel Of Time series four or five times now, but I keep getting stuck at book 5. Not because I stop enjoying it, but just because it’s such a HUGE time commitment. Anyway, I think I mentioned back in April that I’m attempting the series again right now via audio, because I’m spending too much time on the computer for work right now [read: all year] and my eyes are tired. I’ve listened to the first two books in about 10 days each, and am part way into book three now [April;...

A Meta-Garden Update And Discussion Of New Future Plans

Welp, I was going to post a garden video update video today, but our internet still won’t connect at the new house, and I’m very nearly out of phone data, so you get a couple of pictures of the new yard instead.

Also, this is a random time to mention, but I am going to be starting a new sub-brand for garden-related adventures. Years back, pre-children, my spousal person and I were registered Labrador breeders. Our breeder name was Duskwood, and we know that if ever we get that acreage we’re ...
