I loved every moment of this book. Catalina and Jay have such a sweet, tender romance. It truly felt like I was living out my own Christmas movie. Someone call Hallmark, right now. Plus, the whole behind the scenes of what its like to be in the film ...more | |
"Contemporary Romance, Romantic Comedy, Holiday, Holiday Romance
Miniseries Christmas in St. Nicholas (Book #2) :) I've been waiting for this one for what seems like forever. It really hasn't been long but I'm not known for my patience. ~ Kim" Read more of this review » |

“Sometimes all our plans for life go to shit. You end up doing something you never dreamed of and you know what you do? You make the best out of it you can. Nothing is ever as good or as bad as you think it will be. It’s what you make of it.”

“Are you upset that you can’t stomp around like a caveman and pee on my leg?” I poked his shoulder. “I’m not a tree, Your Highness.”

“You love me?” My brain was mush and I wasn’t sure if it was from his words or the pain pill.
Yes, I love you.” His eyes bored into mine.
“
I love you.” I traced his cheek with my fingers. “Can you tell me again when I’m not on pain medicine?”
“I’ll tell you every day.”
“Maybe twice a day?” I felt my eyelids growing heavy.
“A hundred times a day.”

“It’s sarcasm, Josh.”
“Sarcasm?”
“It’s from the Greek, sarkasmos. To bite the lips. It means that you aren’t really saying what you mean, but people will get your point. I invented it, Bartholomew named it.”
“Well, if the village idiot named it, I’m sure it’s a good thing.”
“There you go, you got it.”
“Got what?”
“Sarcasm.”
“No, I meant it.”
“Sure you did.”
“Is that sarcasm?”
“Irony, I think.”
“What’s the difference?”
“I haven’t the slightest idea.”
“So you’re being ironic now, right?”
“No, I really don’t know.”
“Maybe you should ask the idiot.”
“Now you’ve got it.”
“What?”
“Sarcasm.”

Your birthday is on the 4th?! So is my daughters!!! She will be two :) Wellpers, if you have a Kindle, Mortal Obligation is up on Amazon, or you can get it through Smashwords. I'm *still* waiting for BN.com to jump in the game ;) Thank goodness I set the pub date a little later than I planned!
