Today, please help me welcome fellow author, Kimberly Frost to Preternatura.  Kimberly has stopped by today as part of her virtual book tour to pose a very interesting question.  Kimberly is the author of Would-Be Witch, which is the first book of her Southern Witch series.
Kimberly Frost is the national bestselling author of the humorous Southern Witch series, which currently includes Would-Be Witch, Barely Bewitched, and Halfway Hexed. After her first release, Kimberly...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>

Congrats to Lexi George, Coreene Callahan...and, Yeah, Me! (Win a box o' books)

In the world of romance, there are some very awesome contests and awards, and in all but one, an author has to enter in order to become a finalist. That includes the Oscar of the genre world, the Romance Writers of America's RITA award. This isn't a post about that.

If Rita is the Oscar, I'd say the Reviewer's Choice Awards from RT Book Reviews magazine are the Golden Globes. Nominations are made, and the ultimate winner chosen, by the magazine staff from the more than 3,000 books they've cove...

New Releases November 9—November 15 and Readers Choice C*ntest

First, please pop over to visit the fabulous Steph at Fangs, Wands and Fairy Dust today. My character Nik Dimitrou from Storm Force has written a guest post about his upcoming move, along with eagle shifter Robin Ashton, to Penton...Yes, Robin and Nik are off to help out the vampires! If you haven't read Storm Force, Nik is a first-generation Greek-American from New Orleans; an Army Ranger; and, oh yeah, he can touch things (and people) and see flashes of their history. Handy lit...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>

I Crawl Out of the Writing Cave with Weekly Winners

Man, what a brutal two weeks this has been! Thanks to the guest authors who've pitched in while I was buried...sorry I had a no-show author-who-shall-not-be-named on Friday.

What have I been up to? Well, I had a 30-day online workshop I was teaching on plotting. After the first of the year, once I (I hope) migrate to my new website, I'll be offering periodic workshops on my site as soon as I can figure out how to set up a private "room" for them. There will eventually be sessions for both writ...

Drunken #Vampires? (But Drunk on What?) With Amber Belldene and #Win a Book

Quick programming note (or something like that). This past weekend was the awesome annual Reader's Luncheon for the Southern Magic chapter of RWA. I haven't had a chance to blog about it (pics coming Sunday!), but Jeaniene Frost had a great post about it. I never had a chance to remind her of our only meeting, when we were on a panel together and everything I opened my mouth to speak, this woman's cell phone "rang" in the "mehhhhh....mehhhhhh" of a bleating goat. It's my claim to...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>

Meet the Underworld’s Secret Weapon with Linda Thomas-Sundstrom (and Giveaway!)

Today, please help me welcome author Linda Thomas-Sundstrom to Preternatura.  Linda’s latest release is Hot Holiday, which came out last Friday.  Hot Holiday is part of Linda’s Dark vs. Light series.
Linda is a paranormal romance and urban fantasy author who loves more than anything to write, and believes she has a resident Muse who loudly sings all these stories to her. She swears she has "paranormal" in her genes, and that all of her books come loaded with good karma f...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>
