October in Q8 Means: R6oobaaaa!
September is finally gone! It was one long month indeed. O today is the 2nd day of October, though I am happy for its arrival but elr6ooba (humidity) ethba7atna! Suddenly it overwhelms you when you step outside, wrapping around you like a thick suffocating blanket that cuts off your air supply and fogs your sight. Ugh!
I'm just hoping that by next week the humidity will transform into good cool weather. I really can't wait to start sitting outdoors and sipping on frozen -decaf- coffees. Just a few more weeks to go till the good weather season of Kuwait
Good Saturday Morning…
Good Saturday Morning
Its a bright and beautiful day outside. The weather seems amazing. Lots of things to do and lots of places to go to. I was in the mood for Rice Krispies with a big spoonful of sugar just like I used to eat it in my childhood. Still have the entire day to spend later on.
What are you going to do this fine Saturday?

Roche Bobois Style Corner Sofa Set for Less
I've been searching around for the perfect modern sofa set to replace my current one in an effort to revamp my living room. The other day I tweeted this picture and many asked me where did I find this set. I remember years ago when Roche Bobois has the same amazing style of sofas that cost a mini fortune to purchase. Anyways I found this complete corner set in Ali Abdul Wahab in Dajij area for 1900 KD and I think they have a 10% sale on them if any one is interested. I love the set but I can never pull the style off, it would just end up looking like a circus of colors.
September's Top 100 Kuwaiti Blogs According to Alexa
September mo rathee yekhale9! Its the LONGEST month ever o every thing happened in this month: Eid, People Travelling, Schools Starting, Weather Changing, etc.! Lets see how blogs have done over this chaotic month.
I am still in the top ten blogs of Kuwait. Even though I got a lower ranking but I am still there at least, means I must work harder to stay in the top However, surprisingly many established blogs don't have an Alexa rating for some reason? Maybe the timing was a bit off. I do have the my declaimers like always…
Disclaimer One The blogs that made it to the list are blogs about Kuwait whether originating from Kuwait or not or whether they are by Kuwaiti nationals or expats living in Kuwait. That's why I said KUWAITI blog.
Disclaimer Two I still believe the Alexa rank is way overrated, easily manipulated, and highly volatile. It is not a real measure of how a blog is popular but it doesn't hurt to check it every once in a while as some sort of measure. Its the only semi-reliable measure I can think of. No fighting please.
Disclaimer Three DO NOT ASK ME how to calculate the Alexa rating. For the love of god go to Alexa.com and enter your blog URL. If no local rating is there then THAT's IT!
Disclaimer Four If you know of a blog I missed or a new blog that is gliding up the top in rocket speed please let me know

The Cancer Kids Party Gifts we got…
The first toys donation I knew about was from Dhari Al-Huwail, the guy behind Nuttella Darrio Pizza in Solo Pizza Napolitana!
More toys donations by Solo Pizza's owner Amr Al-Refai. The toys are gift wrapped which is a big added bonus by the way. Thank you Dhari & Amr, you guys are amazing.

FourMe dropped off big bags of toys at my place, also gift wrapped. Thank you hon :*
My generous friend Alnoury blog who is well known for her generosity -she gave me my no3man dolly post)- donated not once but twice a huge amount of toys. Thank you sweetheart, god bless u :* Those images are from Q8 Rain's blog post.
As for me I went yesterday to Kids R Us and had a blast choosing gifts, dodging a disapproving parent who took a look at my cart content and threw me a very dirty look, shako madry. Then I gift wrapped the toys I chose myself.
I also placed cards with the content of the gift written on them. Pink for girls toys, blue for boys toys, and white for unisex toys. It felt very nostalgic, like we are throwing an 80′s birthday party and gift wrapping the giveaway toys all over again!
These are the toys I have at home for now. Mine and Fourme's. Check out the little angle wings FourMe brought for the girls w3liya :')
Thank you! Every single one of you, for your generosity. There is still time to donate toys, coloring books, puzzles, magazines and comics, play doh, or anything that would make the children happy. Some of them might not even make it alive till next week. Help draw a smile on their faces.
I am delivering the toys to Q8Rain tonight. If you want to participate let me know or drop off the toys at my place. 3/4 el Kuwait knows my address by now.

Books to Read: Onward by Howard Schultz
When I was in London and in selected branches of Starbucks I used to find this book on sale in the Starbucks merchandise section. It was a very interesting book, Starbucks, the successful coffee chain's business wasn't always rainbows and roses, this is the story of how it was was put back on track, and I am always inspired by success stories.
I wanted to get this book, I really did, but I had already purchased too many books and had to leave half of them behind anyways. I am so going to get it the next time I am in London for sure for I don't suppose it will make an appearance in Kuwait's Starbucks branches anytime soon.
What color is Diana's hair?
Whenever people start rambling on how beautiful Kate Middleton is and how she just loves simplicity and that we want khabba o loya makeup to understand her beauty, I show them this picture I have of The late Princess Diana and they understand what I mean.
You cannot wear a simpler dress, the beauty of the late princess simply radiates from this picture, her complexion, the color of her eyes that jump out with the color or her dress, her hair, my god her hair. She is a striking beauty. THAT is a beautiful woman, was a beautiful woman.
Anyways this is besides the point. I've been gazing at her hair color for a while now and I've decided I want the same color. Do you know what color that is? What am I supposed to say to the salon? Is it one color or a base with highlights or low lights or what?
