Review: Lenôtre's New Amazing Breakfast Menu
I was invited yesterday by MMC group to try the new Breakfast menu of Lenôtre. Do I really need to elaborate on one of the best breakfast buffets in Kuwait? Quality, taste, service, atmosphere, and value all bundled in one place? Well, that's what Lenôtre are known for.
The good news is that Lenôtre have surpassed themselves this time and their buffet and food is even more distinguished with almost no change in pricing! I arrived there by 9:45 AM and the place was already packed masha2 Allah! The decor is now all white, cream, and gold.
The place was buzzing, the forks were clanking against the plates, and as I sat down I was presented with the drinks menu.
By the time I chose my drink -decaf black coffee- the table was already laden with the usual complimentary breakfast items from Lenôtre: Chickpeas, Falafel with Tahina, Foul, Arabian & Sliced bread, and butter.
Then a kind of khobiz rqaq with zaatar and veggies was placed on our table.
Then the coffee came

Then before I had a chance to visit the buffet we were bombarded with plate upon plate of cooked eggs creations placed on the table! WOW! Pictures will speak for themselves…
Then a plate of halloum, zaatar, and vegetables saj was there too!
Then there were pancakes! Soft velvety pancakes drenched with chocolate sauce, sprinkled with icing sugar with a side of plump strawberries.
And another big plate of pillow like golden waffles!

As I finally headed to the buffet I noticed that it was decorated with this little porcelain fella and his flock! Very cute!
The buffet had a mouthwatering selection of food! Check them out!

The breakfast was simply AMAZING! Lenôtre have outdone themselves with this new menu! HIGHLY recommended! I advice you to go early if you are planning on going.
Thank you Lenôtre & MMC Group for the generous invitation. The breakfast was truly a lovely gastronomic journey for me in the morning. Way to go and keep up the good work
A Beautiful Egg and Toast Breakfast Set
You know when sometimes you see something different and you like a lot, you grab it and turn it over in your hands, then you decided against taking that thing and regret it later?
I saw the Egg and Toast Breakfast set above when I was in London. I almost bought it then I put it down stupidly. I reasoned that the wood color is too dark and I don't really eat poached eggs!
Stupid me! I could have filled the little cup with Labna, or cheese, or any other kind of dip! Its a very beautiful and compact set, exactly my kind of tableware but the wood shwaya lona mo 7elo. Have you seen anything like it around here in Kuwait? Something similar? We should!
The opening of Taco Bell Abu 7laifa's Branch
We went yesterday to the opening of Taco Bell's new branch in Abu Hulaifa Area. A big fan of Taco Bell I am.
What I liked about the new branch was the artwork on the wall and on the food!
What do I mean about the food? Check the sauce sachets! Tell me they are not adorable?

This picture was taken yesterday during sunset! The clouds are amazing! I haven't seen such amazing clouds in Kuwait in September before! I am hoping that this is a good sign and speculating that winter will come early with lots of rain and cold tempertures.

Habba Alert: m&m's hoodies
The hoodie wearing habba has been around for quite some time now. Personally I've always been a fan of hoodies. In case you haven't heard already it is considered a habba now to go into wear a hoodie bought from the m&m's store in London or the USA. In fact they are quite hard to find now since rabe3na buy them bel habal and you would be lucky if you found your size in the hoodie of your choice, if any size at all.
So if you are travelling soon or know anyone who is travelling to a place with a m&m's store ask them for a hoodie as a soo'3a!

Do you Remember This Cartoon: Bananas in Pajamas
Suddenly this song sprang into my head! Suddenly I'm singing their silly opening song and remembering how it drove me mad as a teenager when my baby sister loved those freaky bananas that don't go bad and are always yellow and watched them every morning.
I hated Bananas in Pajamas. My sister loved them! I wonder if she still does?

Lovely Modern Houses: Grey & Glass in Notting Hill Gate
Recently I have been mesmerized by modern houses. Whenever I find one I take a moment to stand back and take a good long look at the building. This, or shall I say these, modern houses are located in Notting Hill area of London. Lovely mo? So tiny though but still lovely. I wonder how sitting in the second story would feel like with the sunlight streaming in through all that glass?
Celebration Birthday Dinner in Chocolate & Macaroon Pop
Last week we celebrated the birthday of the fabulous twins Anony & Zowey in Chocolate & Macaroons. This post is in remembrance of the great time we had over dinner that day. Happy birthday girls :)
Book Review: I don't Know How She does it
I have finally finished the book "I don't know how she does it" and I have to say it took me over three weeks to finish. Not because it was too long, but because it is an OK read. Not an AMAZING page turner for sure. I have read many more interesting books so why this one per say was turned into a movie is beyond me. Especially since it was published over 11 years ago.
The books is about Katherine Reddy, a fierce career woman who is trying to balance her role as a wife, a mother, and a city worker all at once and would go to any length to do so. Things are not helped when an oversea's affair starts brewing too.
What I didn't like about the book is two things: The way the book ending was reached because of a spur of the moment decision that doesn't really go with the warrior persona of Katherine. Plus, the way the affair was going and suddenly poof. There was no mention of the lover until maybe the last pages of the book. Where did that story line go?
Anyways it is being turned into a movie starring Sarah Jessica Parker. I have seen the trailer and I have a distinct feeling that this is one of the rare cases when the movie is actually better than the book.
