Store Opening: Butterfly Sweets
[image error]
I remember when I reviewed Butterfly sweets around a year and a half ago on my blog (post). It was a small home business with a lot of taste and big prospects. You can then imagine my happiness when I got an email from the owner informing me that their little home business has grown successfully Masha2 Allah into a store whose opening today at four PM in Al-Nokhitha mall in Aqaila.
I love success stories and I'm really proud of them I wish Butterfly Sweets the best of luck and don't forget to pay them a visit and see what they have to offer. By the way they are giving away boxes of molten cake for the first 10 customers to attend
For more information regarding Butterfly sweets you can visit their facebook page (link). Check out the pictures of their products below and see for yourselves

My new toy The Canon Eos Macro Lens
I've been wanting to buy myself a Macro lens for my Canon Eos for a long time. But I was a bit skeptic as I thought to myself I had nothing much to shoot let alone any photography experience. Two days ago I couldn't resist the urge to buy it anymore so I did! Is it worth it? Check out the pictures below and judge for yourselves, I didn't do anything but shoot with the new lens, bs!
Things 2 Get 4m London: Moroccan Oil Hair Care Range
When my little sister asked me to get her the Moroccan oil hair treatment and shampoo from London I was intrigued. I haven't heard of Moroccan oil before and I wasn't very excited about the thing.
To my surprise everyone is going gaga here in the UK for the Moroccan oil range. I would go to buy the stuff from a salon and it would be sold out. I have actually assembled the collection below from three different salons because all three had ran out of one thing or another! Even the hairstylists I asked highly recommended the thing to me.
I got myself the oil treatment in the brown bottle of course, must check out how to use it. I also got myself the shampoo and the conditioner. My sister swears by the shampoo and the oil treatment by the way.
I got the hair mask which is supposed to be used once a week.
I also got myself the travel range: a small compact beauty bag with a tiny travel sized sample of each of their products: The oil, the styling cream, the shampoo, the conditioner, and the mask.
The Price of every item is £30. Kind of expensive but I wonder if it was sold in Kuwait how much it would sell for.
In conclusion the Moroccan oil hair care range is the latest IT hair product. If you stumble across it grab yourself a bottle and try it out.

The Swing of Memories…
On the last day of my stay in the UK I took a long aimless walk. Enjoying the weather and drinking in the fresh air in the park. As I grew tired I stumbled upon a playground with a swing set.
Suddenly I am a 10 year old kid again, as I ran to the swing I felt a rush of happiness I had long left behind in my childhood. Sheer innocent carefree happiness not tinted with worry or obligations. I hopped on the swing seat, I was afraid I would break it if it was only for kids to be frank, but it held on nicely and I kicked away.
I didn't get off the ground much, mainly because I was afraid the seat would give away under my weight. But for those short swings I took I remembered how much I loved to swing as a little girl. I remembered spending hours on the huge swing in my aunt's house which was next door to ours, kicking away until I was so high up I could see over our neighbor's fences! The rush of air as it rustles my hair, my clothes, and tickles my face is more refreshing than any other thing I've experienced in my life.
I have decided that I must by myself a swing set and place it somewhere, anywhere. Insha2 Allah lo bel 9ekka next to my car. For I have a secret pleasure I would like to confess: I am a middle aged grown up woman and I still love to kick high on the swings, kaifi :p
Do you like to swing?
Back Home…
Feels like yesterday that we were fasting in Ramadan, watching Almalika and Saher 2, having futoor then lounging on the couch. Has it been two weeks already since? Must I start work today?!
Now I am back to Kuwait I have to adjust to the hot weather and find myself some antibiotics for my throat. Plenty of posts to share and plenty of things to catch up to

The Green Salad's Rant
After a long day shopping in London we headed to a restaurant in Covent Garden were we sat outside, enjoying the breeze and people watching while we ordered ourselves good warm fulfilling meals. Pizza, Pasta, the works.
As part of our people watching we noticed a group of school kids on a field trip apparently who had decided to stop in our restaurant for lunch. The table next to us was occupied by two girls and two boys, aged between 10-11 years. Maximum 12 years. The girls were very very thin and petite. As the waiter approached the guys ordered margarita pizzas while the two girls automatically replied: Two green salads and two diet cokes please.
Why?
No really, why? They are mere children! They are so tiny and little and skinny already. They are at the age my mother calls 'a growing child' and need food. They have the metabolism to burn up an entire horse. Why on earth were those two skinny babies dieting? What compels those tiny little thing who cannot weigh more than 35 kg each to actually zip their mouths at lunch and live on boring green salads and diet cokes? Is that normal? Is it an acceptable normal behavior now adays?
Looking at my big plate of pasta and I feel ashamed. I weight more than all the four children on that table combined, yet there they are watching their figure while I am pigging out on pasta. Pasta feels like a dirty word now, like a sin! Is that how people keep the weight off? Start them off as young as 10 and let them eat nothing for lunch but a salad?
Who is at wrong here? Me? Them? Both? None? If I want to have a killer figure, do I have to eat green salad and diet coke at every outing and for every meal? Maybe that's why they are so thin. Considering I am thrice their age, four times their weight, and one tenth their metabolism. Maybe them sitting next to me was a sign for me to stop pigging out and start dieting, real dieting, to lose the excess weight that is suffocating me?

Movie Review: Cowboys & Aliens
My first instinct when I heard the movie name was 'Bayekh' and 'No way am I going to go see it'.
Then I saw it was directed by Iron Man's director, produced by Steven Speilberg, and Starring Harrison Ford and the latest James Bond's actor whose name I can't remember now. So I thought to myself it must be something in the movie worth watching if its that star studded right? Even though I cannot stand any cowboy related movies but this one has aliens mo? Let me give it a chance.
I wish I had stuck to my original impression. No cowboy or wild west related movies for me. I simply suffocated and fidget in my seat. I can't, just can't watch one. Alien or no alien this movie was no exception. It took forever for the aliens to make their blessed appearance. So long I actually fell asleep and woke up to pass the time. Then they came out and some fights ensue etc. etc. and finally the movie ends all the while I have showered twitter with my movie rants.
I might be prejudiced because I hate cowboys and their movies but even my husband said it was a 'maqlab'. So unless you really really love cowboys or something then don't waste your times.

Things 2 Do in London: Visit the M&M's World
In a newly re-built building that used to hold the moving swiss watch thingy in Leicester Square the M&M's store has opened its door last June.
It has been opened for less than three weeks but already it is quite a "habba" between travelling Q8y's but you cannot blame them. If you pass by you cannot resist going inside especially if you love colors and M&M's.
The first thing you see upon entering the store is this full fledged double decker…

The blue m&m's guy is driving it…

There are four floors chock full of merchandise and huge statues. Many people milling about those four floors.

The paintings on the walls are hilarious!

The school bags and supplies where one of the busiest areas. A LOT of Kuwaiti's and Arabs were there buying in bulk for their noisy kids! Didn't schools start already?

This for example is "some" of the bags one GCC family had at the till while waiting for the rest of the family members to get the rest of their shopping…

Toys and balls bearing m&m's characters.

T-shirts! So many of them I went mad trying to choose. I can't resist T-Shirts by the way.

My sisters say there used to be hoodies that were very popular among the Kuwaiti's in the summer habbaw fehom and they were always sold out. None of them are available now. There are still PJ's and night shirts and the green one has got attitude!

She doesn't do mornings… my kinda gal!
More fridge magnets, which I can't resist either.
Boxes upon boxes of different sizes and shapes filled to the brim with colorful m&m's.
And you can make your own combination from the 22 different colors available!
Well I chose the lime green m&m's of course! Even though Orange is my favorite m&m but I couldn't resist the lime green color
Want to create something special? Go to the Mix Lab!
The m&m's periodical table :p
Candy dispensers. Perfect for a souvenir.
Proper tea estekana's! Now that's really cute!
Mugs…
Mofraka!
This very embellished leather jacket. I wonder who in their right mind would buy it though? Lady Gaga perhaps.
Janajef 3la m&m's
Here is their bag.
This is what I bought. Three T-Shirts, a fridge magnet set, and lime green m&m's
It is quite fun! O yesawoon VAT b3d! m&m's world is located in Leicester Square, London. Opposite Mcdonalds.

Wrapping Iranian Bread with Newspaper
I don't know about you but every time I buy discs of fresh Iranian bread and see the khabbaz wrap them up in a piece of newspaper I cringe. All that ink on the newspaper must not react well with the heat coming from the bread! It is quite unhealthy but not always do I have a bag or a towel to wrap my bread with.
Some khababez make special bread sleeves and don't use newspapers which I often try to buy from them. I think there should be a law that forces all of them to NOT use newspapers. I am pretty sure that eating the newspaper ink is dangerous and cancer causing.
What do you think?
Movie Review: One Day
The media is raving about the "One Day" novel and movie. It is supposed to be the book that made a million women cry. As I saw in a movie theater chock full of women crying I was scratching my head trying to figure what the fuss is all about.
I am a sucker for romantic movies. The Notebook for example? I cried my eyes out and still do when I watch it. But this? Well I am sorry but its pretty boring! There isn't much of a story and its not that original. Two people who like each other but don't get together over the course of 20 years. What's new y3ni?
Very boring. Not really worth all the hype. I don't think it would be shown in Kuwait but if it does then frankly it would be a waste of a good one and a half hours of your life. Time you would better use napping or something.
