How Do you Like your Cereal?

Good morning! Lately I have been craving cereal like mad ever since I decided that it makes me bloated and I should probably stay away from it. Kil mamnoo3 mar'3oob I guess and the cereal ads are not helping either.

Anyways yesterday as I was having breakfast I kept gazing lovingly at the bowl and then I thought of all the different ways people around the planet eat their cereal. Whether for breakfast or for another meal, soggy or crunchy, sweet or savory, people differ! I know a family whose kids love to eat cornflakes drenched with hot black tea!

As for me I love rice based or cornflakes, crunchy nut is my favorite followed closely by rice krispies then Nestle fitness. I don't like it crunchy nor very soggy, I like it when it just starts to lose its crunch and about to get soggy -da3ala- and I like it with cold milk, a pinch of sugar, and either banana slices or raspberries.

How do you like your cereal?

Things 2 Get 4m London: Limited Edition Royal Wedding Tea

I was in Twinnings store the other day (post) when I saw this tin above. Twinnngs have come up with a limited edition tea blend to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton.

The Tea is white tea -white as in weddings and white dress- with Rose flavor. Very British indeed. I love love LOVE Rose tea and I have taken a liking to white tea ever since I went on the Diet Ninja's diet. We tried the tea and it was really good. If you like Rose flavor in your tea then you will definitely like this very new very healthy tea blend for sure. I personally do. Highly recommended.

There is an exhibition coming up in Kuwait and this time its an exhibition that aims to promoting Eco Friendly Living. They are open for applications too. Quite intriguing I'd say.

In its fifth year, REUSE 5.0 will be held in February of 2012 at the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK). The application process for exhibition spaces at REUSE 5.0 is open to companies, retail boutiques, galleries, restaurants, social initiatives, students and creative professionals and applications is now open for whomever is interested.  All applicants must exhibit a dedication to eco-friendly causes such as recycling, fair trade production, organic farming, and so forth.

Last year REUSE 4.0 featured a dynamic mix of art galleries, music, film screenings, mixed media installations, electric go-kart test drives, a lounge, trendy eco- fashion products and accessories, prizes and awards. This year you could be a part of the REUSE 5.0. If you are interested you can download the application form from here (link).

Sick and Slow…

I haven't taken a well deserved vacation from work for a very long time. Yet here I am on the first day of my vacation, in the UK my happy place on earth, and I am sick with a bad flu!

Bloody flu started the 2nd day of my arrival last week which is the night before Eid, and still won't go! I am always tired and I want to crash and sleep. I am sweating like a pig, and my throat is killing me. I can't taste food properly. I am there but I am not there since I feel spacey from the flu. I don't have antibiotics with me :'(

So the posting on my blog will be a bit slow so will be answering on comments. I will try and schedule a few posts for next week while I hopefully get over the flu.

Things 2 Get 4m London: Books, books, and more books!

Going into Waterstones and losing my self for hours is one of my the top activities of my stay in London. I go from one shelve to another, fingering and smelling books, checking out what's new, getting great 3 for 2 deals. I usually get two books and look for a third. Then I find a fourth and looks for a 5th and 6th. Then I find a 7th and look for more until my arms are too heavy and a buzzer in my mind tells me to stop buying, I have too many unread books already.

Now the ones above are my recent purchase but I am going back for more. There is nothing better in London than killing the wait or ending the day curled up with a good newly bought book that you read until you doze off to sleep. I'm currently reading 'One Day' which was on the top of my to buy list.

Highly acclaimed. Didn't like the movie at all but I still have hopes for the book. After all it did get turned into a movie right?

Do you have a book you recommend I look for to purchase? I don't want to go back to Kuwait and reading about a certain book and feeling sorry I didn't purchase it. Please do share.

Things 2 Do in London: Eat Strawberries & Cream

Ever since I was a little girl, one thing I enjoy indulging in when I am in the UK is buying a packet of fresh British strawberries especially if they are in season, a can of whipped cream, and then when I am home I mix the two together and have a lovely fresh and delicious snack with a cuppa while watching TV

Look at these fresh fresh strawberries. Their scent is overwhelming and wafting all over the supermarkets aisles, calling out to me.

I chose the "Light" Whipped cream. It tastes so very good, exactly like fresh cream and its not that sugary.

All I have to do is wash the strawberries and place them in a bowl.

Shake the cream can and whizz away…

More More… I love whipped cream

Chinna enough?

Time to indulge in the most delicious heavenly culinary marriage…

Mmmm I love this dessert so much. Too much actually. But as compensation I have decided to forsake all other chocolates and desserts and eat only this on daily basis. Testahal el British Strawberries :D

Movie: The Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Its been quite a while since I've seen a really really good movie. The kind of movie you know you would would want to buy on DVD and keep watching over and over relentlessly. The rise of the planet of the Apes is such a movie.

It starts with showing the cutest most adorable baby Ape ever! I kept going awww and melting at the sight of the baby monkey! As he grew I felt the hero's affection feor the little baby he brought up grow inside me as well. I have to admit that I might be a bit biased since I am a bit crazy about monkey's but my husband enjoyed it as much as me.

This is a good movie. So good in fact that while I was watching I was enjoying myself so much I decided that I would have to go see it again sometime soon! Yes that good. Highly recommended.
