"Things 2 Get 4m London: HMV's Box Sets
Even though people download their shows I still prefer the old school method of buying DVDs. The best place to purchase DVD's is to buy them from HMV as they usually have box sets of entire TV serieses or movies and sell them for amazing prices too! For example I got the entire series of the popular 24 show for £49 only and the entire series of LOST for £49 as well! I also got the entire collection of Harry Potter Movies from 1 to 8 which includes the Deathly Hollow 2 for £32 and the entire Fast & the Furious movie collection including Fast Five for £29. The planet of the Apes movie collection from old to new cost me only £10!
And I am still not done :p What can I say, DVD box sets gives me more pleasure that clothes and khalajeen!

Selfridges New Psychic Service
As I was shopping in Selfridges basement I saw a new little corner that had popped up. The thing is, it is a Psychics corner! Quite unusual really but a bit scary and frankly unnerving! Not something I expected from Selfridges to provide.
Its not that I am uptight or anything. I usually do not get within a mile of anything supernatural or psychics. Sakenhom masakenhom as I always think. So the thought of shopping near a tiny little corner where a "mediumship" is being held for contacting a dead person's soul is just too scary for me! Plus, many people regard that kind of, erm, lets say profession as pure rubbish therefore people who take it seriously would be scared and people who think its rubbish will just feel that the corner is not really suitable inside a department store. I don't think its all rubbish by the way if you were wondering hence why I stay away.
And what on earth is an Angel reading?! What angel? Guardian anger? Never heard of that before! For me I know for a fact that from here on in I will be avoiding that corner of Selfridges like the plague! What if a "mediumship" goes wrong ballah? Bism Allah el ra7man el ra7eem. Salamo Qawlen min Raben Ra7eem!
What do you think? Would you use their services the next time you shop at Selfridges?

Picture of the Week: Possibilities
Whenever I see an empty cup I am faced with a lot of possibilities: what can I fill it up with? Tea? Coffee? Tea with Milk? Juice? Hot Chocolate? Hot milk with Honey? Lemonade? Just Water?
Tons of choices to make in one go. Sometimes I go with more than one choice, sometimes I just give up and fill it with nothing. In the end when I am faced with many possibilities I always choose what my heart tells me to choose. It never let me down still.
What about you, what do you choose to fill your cup up with?
Vote for the Best Local Q8y Business…
The Sultan Center are organizing an event in Souq Sharg in January 19-21 for the local Kuwaiti businesses. They asked me to nominate 3 local Kuwaiti Businesses and have the readers vote for them on my blog as well. The winning business will et to win the prize of participating in the event plus getting a 1 day free 5 hour training in Retail Academy.
Now what businesses would I nominate? The first one that popped into my mind immediately after the announcement is the one and only f2o Designs (post). The second is Qumar 14 fashion designs which made me happy with their winter bishts (post). And the third is Firin Bakery with their AMAHZING gluten free goodies (post). I wish I could nominate more 7safa
Now I nominate these three I want you, my dear readers, to choose the winner by choosing your vote in the below voting box. Which local business do you think is the best candidate and should participate in the expo?
Vote away! Only one vote per person please. Much obliged

Would you buy this mobile phone?
While I was shopping in London I saw a mobile phone called link that belongs to the Tag Heuer watch brand! Never knew that Tag Heuer made mobile phones! It is deemed as the first Swiss made mobile phone with a whooping price of £5100! Yes you read that right. Five thousand one hundred sterling pounds! Yikes! So what do you get in exchange for those five grands?
Still didn't sell me over. I would have bought the phone if it was sold for, lets say, 200 KD but 2500 KD is a bit too much for a new emerging mobile phone from a Swiss watchmaker.
I wonder if they sold any phones at all? Would you buy a Tag Heuer mobile for £5100?
Help: What Would You Do If…
Lets say that there is a movie that you've been waiting forever to see. Its finally released, you finally get tickets, You make it to the movie just in time for it to begin. The theater is booked full. You are equipped with your favorite snack and drink. The show begins.
Suddenly… there is something tingling around your nostrils. An odor so bad it fills your eyes with tears as you suffocated trying to gulp for air. Its from the person sitting right next to you. They smell horrible, they must have just cooked their lunch and come. Something garlicy and spicy and very smelly indeed.
Then the odor intensifies. There is a newer odor. Something temporarily but lethal coming from the same person. You rue the day you came to sit in this chair watching this damn movie for one and a half hours. You want to leave but then you have to convince people to leave with you. You will lose your tickets. You might not have a chance to come back and watch this movie you really want to watch. Yet at the same time you are dying slowly and you no longer follow the plot of the movie because you are busy trying to breathe for your life.
So what did I do? Cursing, I wrapped my entire face except my eyes with my 7ejab which is scented with dehen oud. Even though I was fully wrapped my neighbour's "temporarily" odors kept creeping back into my nostrils. Bloody hell!
What would you do if you were in the same situation and if leaving the movie was not an option? Tell her off? Ask the management to kick her out? Bring a mask just in case? Even nachos do suffocate people sometimes… good grief!

Good Saturday Morning…
Good Saturday morning!
How are you spending your Saturday? In Kuwait? At home? In the Chalet? Travelling somewhere? Many people I know are travelling to either London, NYC, or Dubai!
So what's for breakfast today? I am craving something very simple yet very Kuwaiti… a small piece of qer9 3qaili with the aroma of saffron and cardamom wafting from it with every bite and a cup of hot steamed milk infused with some more saffron and cardamom
So what are you having for breakfast?

Things 2 Get 4m London: Lush's Snow Fairy
Years ago I stumbled across Lush soap store during Xmas time and I found a little pink shower gel bottle with little glitter pieces sparkling on it. I took a whiff and fell in love. It was a bottle of melted candy cane flavored bubble gum disguised as a shower gel.
Since its a Xmas special and not available year round we made sure to stock up on our favorite shower gel -big bottles, several ones, tried to eat it once, didn't taste good btw-. Even though Lush is now open in Kuwait I've been there like once and I am not really sure if Snow Fairy is available during December in Kuwait. I still stock up from here. It goes really well with my favorite sugar scrub too (post).
If you didn't try it before, now is the time. Getting the little bottles as souvenirs in a little bag with the sugar scrub, the lip tint, the bubble bath star thing, and the powder will b spectacular as well.
