Cosmic Sutra is now available ~ Victoria attends university on another planet #sfr #lesfic #newrelease
Happy release day to COSMIC SUTRA!
Cosmic Sutra, which was first released as part of the First Ladylove anthology is now available on its own. It is a New Adult Lesbian Sci-Fi Romance about a young woman who is attending university on the other side of the universe, and the trials and tribulations she experiences there. She does not have an easy time adjusting to life at Thanh Academy, but she’s not about to let the aliens walk all over her.

#8Sunday: Victoria meets her guide ~ Excerpt from COSMIC SUTRA #sfr #lesfic #romance
Welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Hello! I’ve started NaNoWriMo. I tried once before, but ended up stopping as I had too many other things going on. Such seems to be November for me. But, I’m trying it again. I’m hoping to finish It Took A Zombie Apocalypse, and to write Jager, the next Galactic Defenders story. I’m going to try and keep sharing posts on Sundays, but we’ll see how it goes.
Today, I’m sharing another excerpt from COSMIC SUTRA, which releases November 7th (tomorrow). It’s a lesbian sci-fi new adult romance that takes place on another planet.
Set-up: Last week, Victoria was confident she’d landed at Thanh, but a giant bug-like being greeted her in a not-so-friendly manner.
Standing on two legs, the creature crossed both sets of arms across its chest. “I was beginning to think you Terrans had headed back down the evolutionary ladder.”
Victoria rolled her eyes. She’d just arrived and already been insulted by an alien who resembled a giant ant. Too bad she couldn’t squish it. “And you are?”
“Your guide.” The being made a clicking sound, its antennae bobbing in front of her face. “Your luggage has already been transported to your quarters. I am to show you around before taking you there.”

Hello! I’m sharing another excerpt from COSMIC SUTRA, which releases November 7th. It’s a lesbian sci-fi new adult romance that takes place on another planet.
Set-up: Last week, Victoria came out the other side of the portal. Here’s the first glimpse she gets of where she landed…
Beings rushed to and fro around her, bustling to unknown destinations. Many appeared humanoid, with skin varying in color like a jumbo box of crayons. Others had tentacles and tails or antennae, with their bodies sectioned into three parts like an insect. Some bundled up in clothing thick enough to wear to the arctic, and even more wore nothing, exposing their sexual parts to those around them. Victoria blushed and glanced up.
Above her, a clear ceiling revealed a breathtaking view of the multitude of stars in the planet’s portion of the galaxy. Giant silver columns linked the ceiling to the floor. She stood, attempting to peer over everyone’s head to locate some sort of sign to tell her where she had to go.
“It’s about time you got to your feet.” A tinsa glared down at her with beady eyes, its heart-shaped head cocked to the side.

Here’s an excerpt from THE STAR PRINCESS…
Setup: Prince Deion has travelled across the galaxy to meet the woman he is betrothed to. But, not everything goes as planned. He gets sick, and the princess believes the prince to be his aide. When he tries to tell her the truth, she ends up jumping off the edge of a cliff…
Without giving his fear a chance to stop him, he leapt off the edge. If he couldn’t save her up top, he’d grab her from the water before she drowned.
He sliced through the depths until his body’s buoyancy stopped his plunge. Stroking toward the surface, he sucked in a huge gulp of air, spluttering.
To his left, Ro’sa thrashed in the water before sinking under. Diving in her direction, Deion wrapped an arm around her waist and drew her to him. Though he didn’t mind having her so close, he couldn’t enjoy their proximity until he had her safely on land. Maybe he’d yell at her, too, for making such a rash decision.
He dragged her up the bank and laid her on the crystal-like sand, panic still clenching his chest. He tilted her chin up and leaned close to listen for her breath.
No brush of air against his cheek. No rise and fall of her ample chest, her breasts perfectly round, though puckered at the peaks. Fuck, even with the urgent situation, his hormones leapt into overdrive.
He fitted his mouth to hers and blew. Three quick chest pumps while resisting the temptation to touch more of her soft emerald skin. He leaned toward her again and caught a giggle before Ro’sa wrapped her arms around him. Her breath passed across his lips, shoving away his worry and igniting flames of desire. “Do you want me?”
Why, the little tease! “You didn’t drown at all.”
THE STAR PRINCESS
In one week, Princess Ro’sa will board a spaceship, leaving her home on Minjet to be with her betrothed on Earth. The only problem is, she detests the prince’s selfish and arrogant ways, preferring to spend time with his personal aide, a man who stirs her desires in ways she never imagined possible with his radiant blue eyes and smouldering lips. And oh, the way he touches her.
Earth’s post-apocalyptic landscape offers little but the alliance offers much and a princess must do her duty, no matter the danger to her person and to her heart.

“Shit! Forgot I had this bloody thing in,” he replied, taking a breath and shutting his eyes for a second.
“Have to get used to it if you want to be in the field…alone.”
“Unlike your brother, I need some me time, Sherlock.” This time, he chuckled when he felt her brush his mind with calming thoughts. “How’s Lexa? Any change?”
“No, nothing. Never changes. I…just don’t get it.”
“Me either,” he said with a sigh, quickly putting it out of his mind to maintain his focus. “I just got to the park. I’ll check in before I leave.”
“Okay. And whatever has you so hungry bring some back. Talk to ya.”
Shaking his head, Bates waited for the static of the comm to fade before pushing farther into the park, eyeing the tables and tents, but mostly their occupants, searching for a face. Miss Takashi had a pretty face, although older now, since the photo from the collective Meta-alien Investigation and Neutralization Department database was almost one hundred years old.
When he neared the end of the first row of vendor tents, he took in the sight of the city across the river, and then found the second and final row of vendors left to search.
He politely declined several offers to purchase various items like candles and potholders, wondering why his ‘blah face’—a term his new friend Kim called his usual stern façade—wasn’t working.
Toward the middle of the second row, Bates slowed, eyeing a colorful booth, shrouded in light purple curtains, and a sign that screamed for attention. When a face-painted toddler, followed by a frantic parent, came running out of the booth, he barely sidestepped out of the way. The parent offered Bates a weary shrug. He nodded politely and carried onward, finally seeing a sign for “Madam Takashi” two booths down.
Jenn Nixon’s love of writing started the year she received her first diary and Nancy Drew novel. Throughout her teenage years, she kept a diary of her personal thoughts and feelings but graduated from Nancy Drew to other mystery suspense novels.
Jenn often adds a thriller and suspense element to anything she writes be it Romance, Science Fiction, or Fantasy. When not writing, she spends her time reading, observing pop culture, playing with her two dogs, and working on various charitable projects in her home state of New Jersey.

#8Sunday: Through the portal and out the other side ~ Excerpt from COSMIC SUTRA #sfr #LGBT #romance
Welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Hello! I’m sharing another excerpt from COSMIC SUTRA, which releases November 7th. It’s a lesbian sci-fi new adult romance that takes place on another planet.
Set-up: This snippet continues a couple sentences after last week’s, as Victoria is stepping through the last portal to take her to Thanh Academy.
With a final step, she entered the portal, the technology ripping her body into millions of particles. She cried out from the pressure, the pain more intense than with the first unit, stretching her body past its limits, her screams lost in the vastness of space. No one could hear her.
A vacuum pulled at her, dragging her across the galaxy a great deal faster than the speed of light, toward the technology that would piece her back together. The journey seemed to take forever, nothing to see beyond the blinding lights, no sound other than the suction from her destination.
Victoria slammed into a solid wall that vanished as fast as it had materialized. She fell to her knees, gasping for air. She’d arrived, hopefully at the right destination. There had been a few instances where nearby portals had grabbed a traveler, sucking them into an unintended target, but those instances were uncommon and the victims rarely heard from again.
Finally able to catch her breath, she glanced around, just to be sure she had arrived at the academy and not on a planet where the beings considered her lunch.
