I must have this
So there you are, sitting around, living your daily life, when you stand up, walk down the hall, and discover that your bathroom door now leads to Fort Knox. Or a fairy garden. Or a nuclear power plant. Or…well, you name it.
How cool would that be?
A lot cooler if the door really went to those places, but the second best is to fake it (I mean, after all, isn't that today's new modus operandi anyway?).
Check out the product at Style-Your-Door.com
I think this may be my personal fav. I've a...

Good Buy, Good Book Tuesday: Eat, Pray, Love
[image error]Okay, so I didn't actually read the book. My daughter did and loved it. So we went to see the movie this weekend. And it was wonderful! But now I want to eat my way through Italy (which is not a new idea to me) and go to Bali (which is totally new to me.) And I want to LIVE – all caps.
I mean seriously you can't walk out of that movie (and I suspect from the astronomical sales, the same can be said of the book) without wondering if you've found the meaning in your life. Or, if you...

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: SUMMER OR SCHOOL?
I love living in Georgia, but one thing I've never been crazy about is the fact that school starts here in early to mid-August. Yuck!
But there are 3 weeks of summer left!
I grew up in New York and we didn't start school until after Labor Day. Granted, we had to go to school until the end of June (kids get out here before Memorial Day), but I still like that New York schedule better. I mean, summer isn't over until after Labor Day! When kids go back to school here, there are still...

Stress Busting
Thursday is supposed to be about writing, but what I've discovered is that my favorite thing to do when cranking out the pages is to EAT! The more carbs, the better. Pasta, YUM! Bread, awesome! Chocolate, ice cream, chocolate ice cream. Come to momma.
I think it's a stress-reliever for me, which I've been told is very, very bad, but I think food is a better stress reliever, then say, robbing a bank, or pounding my head on the pavement. I actually do like to exercise as well, but when ...

Whiny Wednesday: Deadlines
[image error] Stupid deadlines. Why am I always smashed up against them, my face pressed against the deadline glass, an unseen force behind me, pushing and pushing until I either burst through the deadline and emerge victorious, or get crushed trying to break through?
This happens every. single. book. And it's all me. I used to think it was because I wasn't giving myself enough time to do the books when I was contracted to do them. But then I changed some deadlines around and it didn't seem to matter, ...

FINALLY Manhattan catches up with the rest of the world
[image error]It's about time, really. I mean, NYC folk are soooo behind all the trends. Monster trucks. Strip malls. Minivans.
About the only time they're ahead of the game is in fashion, as evidenced by a recent post (Sherri?) showing the gal with the, um, capitol dome on her, um, assets.
But now all has changed. New Yorkers have finally taken their cue from the rest of us.
They have …. (wait for it) ….. a TARGET.
And can I just say, it's about time.
I learned this mind-boggling bit of news as I was on ...

Pop Culture Monday: Everyone's a Celebrity
Click here to view the embedded video.
Was reading the in the paper recently about the Real Housewives of DC and wondering when we became a country that rewards people for doing bad things. I mean, I'm all for celebrity watching. Been doing it for years starting with Teen Beat back in the dark ages. But these days it seems like the more laws you break (i.e. the housewife, Michaele Salahi, who crashed a White House party with her husband) and the more havoc you wreck (see Lindsey Lohan...
Dangerous Desires
As the demolitions expert for A-Tac, a black-ops CIA unit masquerading as Ivy League faculty, Tyler Hanson has two great loves: literature and explosives. She lives by the motto "duty first" and doesn't have time for personal attachments . . . until a steamy one-night stand turns into a professional partnership.
BURNED BY BETRAYAL
When Tyler meets Owen Wakefield, a handsome British operative, she seduces him with no intention of ever seeing him again. But then the sexy Brit is brought into...
