Tribute: Bea Arthur

Sad news on a Saturday! I just heard that Bea Arthur has passed away at age 86 from cancer complications. I doubt she appreciated whiners, but the Whine Sisters sure appreciated Bea-- especially after her Sex and the City parody. What a sense of humor! What a loss. Condolences to friends, family, and fans of Bea Arthur.

While Sherri is Away…

I don’t want her to think that we’ve done nothing but talk about ME and MY BOOK which just went on sale YESTERDAY.  I’ve been keeping up with all the celebrity news!  I didn’t know if I should go with Lindsey Lohan, Miss California’s answer to gay marriage, or this...Michael Jackson in a bizarre outfit, shopping for crap.  I mean, art.

Didn’t they just sell everything at his ranch because he wasn’t making payments?  Didn’t he owe some store in Vegas a ton of money for the crap he bought there?

Welcoming Bobama

At last, the wait is over!  Bo has arrived in the White House.  Yawn.  I love dogs.  I really do.  But honestly, I do not want to hear another word about the dog decision that two little girls made.  For Pete’s sake, people, lay off these folks.  Yes, Obama said they would choose a rescue dog, but do you really think he stood a chance against whatever dog his daughter chose?  So put our Prez in the same boat as most of us:  kids rule the roost.  Could be much worse, you know.

Cute dog.  Cute p

Correspondence: The Lost Art

No one writes letters anymore. We have email, text messages, telephone, all conveniences in this age of instant gratification. People have even taken to shortening two and three letter words! That’s how ridiculously fast we want to communicate. I won’t do it. I’m a slow texter because I insist on taking my time and getting things right. I spell out words, and I correct the mistakes I catch before I send. Needless to say, I don’t text much. I’m archaic that way, I guess.

Way back in the old da
