Audio and Paperbacks: Father of Lies Trilogy updates
Audio release!
Very excited about this one - hot on the heels of completing my occult horror trilogy, the first of the books is now out in audio format with tantor.com.... 'Father of Lies' is narrated by English actress, Henrietta Meire... who brilliantly evokes the menacing atmosphere, as well as conjuring voices of the devil, Yorkshire coppers, and a girl with multiple personality disorder - to name just a few of her challenges... I honestly cannot wait to hear it!

The next book in the trilogy - 'Tanners Dell' - will be available by 15th December, and the newly released final part - 'Magda' - early in the New Year!
'Magda' already has some very encouraging reviews (amazon), one of which especially touched my heart because it is written by a survivor of satanic abuse, which was the core reason for writing this trilogy. Here are a few of the comments so far...

Well I am kind of sorry to leave the gang...but the trilogy is now written and with the readers....and listeners...
Authors Reach will be packaging it into a box set and I will move on to new projects. One thing I can say for certain is that I loved dipping into times-gone-by - into witchcraft, superstition and folklore... so maybe the next novel will be along those lines... As more reviews and feedback comes in, not to mention special offers, more audios, signing events and the box set, I will, of course, be blogging! I'm guessing we all need a bit of fiction right now, with the real world looking a bit freaky....Happy reading... or should I say...Scary reading?

Summary
The dark and twisted community of Woodsend harbours a terrible secret – one tracing back to the age of the Elizabethan witch hunts, when many innocent women were persecuted and hanged.
But there is a far deeper vein of horror running through this village; an evil that once invoked has no intention of relinquishing its grip on the modern world. Rather it watches and waits with a focused intelligence, leaving Ward Sister, Becky, and Police Officer, Toby, constantly checking over their shoulders and jumping at shadows.
Just who invited in this malevolent presence? And is the demonic woman who possessed Magda back in the sixteenth century, the same one now gazing at Becky whenever she looks in the mirror?
You may need to sleep with the lights on after reading this…Are you ready to meet Magda in this final instalment to the trilogy? Are you sure?

It's official! Yes, I am on schedule and yes, the 3rd in my occult horror trilogy, 'Magda', is due for release very soon! I will have the kindle version out in time for Halloween - on Sunday October 30th.The paperback will follow soon after, with the bookstore copies taking another week or so. With this in mind, the full launch party will be on facebook courtesy of Sarah Kenny, on Sunday 6th November.

Countdown to Halloween! New release coming!
I am nervously excited now because the third and final book in my occult horror trilogy - 'MAGDA' - is almost upon us...Back from the editor, it is now going through a proofing and polishing stage - so still a lot of hard work to go - BUT definitely on schedule for Halloween as promised! Phew!
There's more... first of all things are a bit different for the launch of this one. The kindle will be uploaded, all being well, on Sunday 30th October, followed by the paperback soon after. However, the actual launch party is being organised by Sarah Kenny on facebook for Sunday October 6th pm. Once I have the link I'll post it, along with everything else...And there are going to be guest authors giving away copies of their books; plus I will be giving away some signed copies of Magda too. If you would like to have all the details hot off the press please sign up for my newsletter so you'll be the first to know!

The cover is absolutely stunning... It seriously blew my hair back! I cannot wait to show it, but am bound not to until it is on tantor's website good to go. However, I just noticed it is listed in their pre-order/coming soon section and there is a tiny sample (30 seconds) of actress, Henrietta Meire, reading from the spooky scene in Woodsend where Kristy discovers the ancient cemetery and accidentally runs into Paul Dean....!

News!
Well every so often the mighty Amazon offers readers the chance to sample new books at just 99p or 99c for the download! Oh so cheap, cheap, cheap....but it does mean that perhaps readers who may not have seen our particular books before or even considered the genre of occult horror...will give it a try! So here's the deal: for the next 5 days my occult horror novels, Father of Lies and Tanners Dell, will be available on amazon for the above price. If you like them...the third in the series.. Magda...is due out in about 6 weeks time for Halloween...I'm working flat out on that one! So it's an ideal time to try a new author in a new genre, yes? Come on...be brave...cackles....
A little bit more news now - I recently signed with tantor.com to have all three novels available on audio as an MP3 download or on CD. The release date for the first two books is November 8th. These will be available via the tantor site and amazon and many more outlets, and frankly I cannot wait to hear the wonderful actress, Henrietta Miere, take on the voice of the devil, Yorkshire coppers and a highly disturbed girl with multiple personalities! Wow what a challenge... so exciting! Needless to say, I will post when the third book is out (kindle will be first, followed by paperbacks) and then the audios...
With regard to the paperbacks - the first two books are available to order in any bookstore. Very few bookstores these days, especially the large ones like Waterstones, will display books other than those provided by huge publishers or established and classic authors. But they are definitely available to order... I am part of a group called Authors Reach and we have facilitated the distribution in the exact same way as the big boys, so yes they can get it for you that way if you want it. Always available on amazon though - just a slightly larger book!
Little snippet more...I have a serial running in My Weekly - part 1 and part 2 will be in next week's issue at the same time - it's called 'Under Illusions' and is a mystery thriller set entirely around a hospital bed...it will be out on Wednesday 28th September...

Coming soon - the final occult horror in the trilogy...

It's almost here... the third and final book in my occult horror trilogy and it's called... 'Magda'...
If you have read 'Father of Lies' and 'Tanners Dell' you will know that when Ruby Dean was admitted to a secure psychiatric unit high on the moors of northern England, her madness hid decades of demonic activity in the small mining village from where she came. The staff who tried to help her unlocked a dark force over which they had no control and little understanding, much to their shock and horror.
This final instalment will take you down and down and down... to where no sane person would ever wish to go...so my question is, are you ready?
Out on 31st October - Samhain - in a couple of months time ....Are you ready to meet Magda?

A Trilogy
A Darkly Disturbing Occult Horror Trilogy
It's official! My occult horror series is now a trilogy. Father of Lies is book 1, Tanners Dell is book 2 and the 3rd is scheduled for a Halloween release. I thought I would have it clearly marked this way (on Amazon) so as to avoid confusion in the future...some readers had not known which book was first and some had not realised it was evolving into a series...actually, neither had I! The darkly twisted village of Woodsend took on a life of its own and is still developing into something that takes unexpected shape as I work....
And here is a gorgeous new ad courtesy of the very talented designer on our Authors Reach team - Gina Dickerson. Disappearing back into my writer's lair in a minute...see you soon!

Just gotta do it....
I'm starting Book 3 on Monday now I've done some seriously terrifying research on your behalf! No, please, don't thank me.... the night terrors were my absolute pleasure! And boy have I got a scary story coming up to follow on from Father of Lies and Tanners Dell... got the title (under wraps ...) - woppy doo - and all being well, I'll have it ready by Halloween....meanwhile there are lots of new reviews for Tanners Dell coming in:
