Sure you do

            “I
really like that top,” he said.

“I’m sure you do,” I said pulling my
jacket open and sticking my chest out.

I laughed.  He reached over and grabbed my wrist.

“Mathew let go,” I said still
laughing, trying to yank my hand away.

He held me tighter.  I was focusing on getting my hand back,
trying to pry his fingers off my wrist.

“Not until you kiss me,” he said.

“No,” I laughed still pulling away.

He held my wrist and pulled me
toward him with one hand.  He slid me off
the desk.

“Mathew,” I said still laughing as
my feet reached the floor.

He pushed my chin up from focusing
on my release with his free hand.   I
stared at him.  I knew he was going to
get his way.

“God damn you Mathew,” I said.
            He kissed me softly at
first and then more passionate.

Lust

Stella
could hear the lust.  She spread her legs
further and put her hands on the island.  She could hear Greg getting his clothes off.  He came from behind her and slid the straps
of the teddy off her shoulders exposing her breasts.  He cupped them from behind feeling, rubbing
her nipples between his fingers.  Stella
could feel it building.  Greg pushed into
her backside and she could feel his hardness.

Small world

When we left Nepenthe we took our time along
the coast to admire the ocean views, stopping frequently.  The ruggedness of the Northern California
coast along that stretch was stunning.   Even
with all the times I’d been down this route, it still took my breath away.  I could tell Ryan almost found it
surreal.  We arrived at Hearst Castle in
time for a tour.  Again Ryan couldn’t
believe the beauty, the setting, the architecture.  We were both surprised to learn that Hearst’s
father made his fortune in the Park City silver mines.

            “Small world,” he
said.

I Can't Tell You Why

           “Why
do you call me kid?”

            “Morgan
it’s not an insult it’s a term of affection, or whatever you want to call
it.  Does it bug you?”

            “It’s ok I guess.”

He closed his text book and turned
the desk chair around and reached for his
guitar.

“Don’t just pick.  Play something for me,” I asked.

He started with the Eagles I Can’t Tell You Why.

             “Look
at us baby up all night tearing our love apart,” he sang “aren’t we the same
two people who live through years in the dark?”
            I listened as he played
through the rest of the song.  I
was amazed at the words and how they sort of related to us.

Too much temptation

We
crawled in bed and turned on a movie.  I
cuddled up against him and he draped his arm around my shoulders.  He ran his fingers gently up and down my
arm.  Like this, when we were away from
the world, it worked.  Months ago I realized
it wasn’t practical to think it could be just us, the world was out there, and
in it too much temptation for him.

Popcorn machine

“Blake, this is amazing,” I said again, as he showed me the movie
theater on the boat.  “It even has its
own popcorn machine.”

            I had never been
on a yacht.  The boat had four state
rooms with their own sitting suites and full baths.  It had a large galley kitchen with
staff.  The living room was massive and
plush, as well as the outdoor sitting area and bar.  It had a speed boat and jet skies that were
stored on the above deck, and were lowered to the water by an on-board hoist.  It had a helicopter pad.  It was hard to imagine people with money like
this.

Quick exit

“So what happened after you threw up
on Tommy’s feet and I made a quick exit?” Jillian questioned laughing.  “Sorry about that by the way.  I felt like if I started with excuses it
would make it worse.”

            Jillian
put butter in the pan rotating it around as it melted.  She cracked two eggs into the hot butter and
then put salt and pepper on them.  She
poured a little water from a cup into the pan and put a lid on it to let the
eggs cook.
            “I
made it to the hall bath for round two, three, and four."

Sad, mad rolled into one

           “Hey
kid,” I heard him say.

I froze knowing instantly it was
Mathew.  I waited until
he was in front of me.  My eyes locked
with his, my mind racing. Mathew?
Mathew?  How?  Before I could answer my own questions he
grabbed me up and pulled me into his arms kissing me hard.  When I pulled back he didn’t release me.  I had to arch my back to pull away enough to
get a good look at him.  He hadn’t
changed much.  His hair was shorter.  It was obvious by his tan he had been hanging
out at the beach.  His blue eyes searched
mine for a response.  I smiled slightly
and he smiled back.  I shook my head and
took a deep breath.  I was numb, in
shock.  I was having a hard time
identifying what I was feeling actually.
I waited.  Sad, mad, all rolled in
one.  Where was Gayle?

“You have no idea how hard it was
for me to convince Gayle to let me come,” he said.
