High gear
Once Christmas came the town kicked into high
gear. Park City decorated the majority
of the trees around town with Christmas lights and strung lights across Main Street. Town took on a whole new feel. In one month it transformed from a slow brown
town to a bright white town with colored lights and lots of action. The bars were full, the restaurants packed,
and I couldn’t help but want to be out in it all.

So romantic
“You make the
relationship thing sound so romantic,” Stella said.
“Being honest, take Greg,
he’s obviously not happy with his situation or he wouldn’t be fucking you on a
regular basis. And Stella, that is what
he is doing, just fucking you, no emotion, no attachment. It wouldn’t surprise me if you are one of
many.”

Not that girl anymore
“Hmm,
Max?” I said. “Max and I fell apart when
I moved to Park City, we just didn’t know it.
I thought leaving would end it, and suddenly he realized I was important
to him. His change of heart confused me
so I gave in. When I came home we tried
to pretend it didn’t happen, us being apart, or I guess he did. I had changed though. I sort of grew into myself while I was in Park
City. He didn’t like my
independence. He wanted the girl that I
was before, and I wasn’t that girl anymore."

No bra
I headed home shortly after three to get
ready. I used the curling iron on my
hair to straighten it out a bit and put on my makeup heavier than normal. I inspected myself in the full length
mirror. I definitely looked good, no
bra, halter top cut low in the front. I
hoped Gayle was right, I wanted them both to drool.

Loneliness
I
went to use the restroom and then ventured around back to the beach. The loneliness I felt earlier washed over me
again. I took off my shoes and walked
down to the lake. The moonlight danced
on the water. There was a slight breeze,
so the lake lapped softly at the shore.
What would I do when I went back home?

Great day
Yesterday was a great day of writing. With Fall back in time and hubby running off to work, should be another good day.
