Justin Bieber Pays Scooter Braun Jaw-Dropping Amount for This 1 Reason
Justin Bieber just handed over $31.5 million to Scooter Braun, his former manager, mentor, and the man who helped launch him to global superstardom. The reason? A financial fallout stemming from Bieber’s canceled Justice world tour.
According to TMZ, Braun’s company, HYBE, fronted the money Bieber owed tour promoter AEG Presents when the 2022 tour was called off. To settle the debt, Bieber paid $26 million of that total directly to Braun.
The remaining $5.5 million? Unpaid commissions, reportedly owed to Braun before the two parted ways professionally.
The payout comes two years after the once-inseparable pair quietly cut ties. Braun, who discovered Bieber on YouTube when the singer was just 12 years old, played a massive role in shaping his career. But by 2023, it was clear that the partnership had run its course.
“It’s not the same that it was,” Braun said during a June episode of The Diary of a CEO podcast. “We had such extreme success, but I think he wanted to prove he could do it on his own—and I respect that.”

Braun, who also managed Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato before stepping away from music management in 2024, made it clear he harbored no ill will. “We’re all rooting for him,” he added.
Bieber hasn’t publicly addressed the split, but fans noticed he unfollowed Braun on social media earlier this year. It marked a notable shift, especially considering Bieber defended Braun during the 2019 Taylor Swift masters controversy, calling the public backlash “unfair.”
While Braun helped engineer Bieber’s rise, this multimillion-dollar payout is a sign of just how complicated even the most successful music partnerships can become.
As Bieber moves forward, now a father and eyeing his next career era, the $31.5 million check seems to signal more than just closure. It’s the price of independence.

Want Better Sleep or More Energy? Time Your Showers Right
Morning or night? It’s one of the most debated bathroom routines out there, but according to sleep researchers and wellness experts, the best time to shower might depend entirely on what you want to get out of it.
If you’re struggling to fall asleep or stay asleep, switching to a warm nighttime shower could make a surprising difference.
Time reported that research from Shahab Haghayegh, a sleep expert at Harvard Medical School, shows that a warm shower taken one to two hours before bed helps align your body’s temperature with its natural circadian rhythm. That drop in core body temperature signals to your brain that it’s time to wind down, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.
“The body clock doesn’t change that easily,” Haghayegh says. “But consistent nighttime showering can help shift your bedtime earlier and improve sleep quality.”
There’s also a creative bonus. Evening showers, when your mind is less focused and more relaxed, can trigger free association, giving way to breakthrough ideas or solutions. In short, it’s the perfect environment for spontaneous thinking.
Prefer morning showers? You’re not wrong either.
Cold morning showers, especially those paired with stimulating scents like rosemary or citrus, can kickstart alertness, improve your mood, and even enhance circulation. They also reinforce your body’s natural temperature rise after waking, which helps shake off grogginess and get you into gear faster.
For many, it’s also a matter of practicality. Morning showers tame unruly bedhead, freshen you up post-sleep, and help you start the day with focus. Meanwhile, nighttime showers may be essential for those who sweat a lot, live in polluted areas, or want to keep their sheets clean.
Ultimately, it’s not about choosing the “right” side. It’s about aligning your routine with your goals.
Whether you’re looking to recharge or reset, your shower can be more than just a rinse. It can be a habit that supports better sleep, sharper focus, and a healthier rhythm.

James Gunn Reportedly Eyeing 2 ‘Superman’ Spinoffs for Standout Characters
While the James Gunn-directed Superman is just officially hitting theaters on Friday, July 11, the early returns from critics and fans have apparently ignited some significant potential future plans.
Following a run of early screenings, feedback about the newest superhero movie, and specifically, Superman himself, David Corenswet, began to roll in.
The majority of viewers raved about Corenswet's performance and left the theater with numerous positive comments about Superman. Although it's still early, the reviews on social media have echoed those from the likes of Rotten Tomatoes, which has a critic score of 82 percent currently and an exceptional 95 percent score on the fan-focused Popcornmeter.

Gunn, who's also the co-CEO of DC Studios, had already been planning for what's next, announcing that a new Wonder Woman film and The Batman Part II are both in development.
However, according to a recent report from The Wall Street Journal, Superman could be followed by two potential spinoffs down the line.
"Gunn is considering TV spinoffs for characters like Mister Terrific and cub reporter Jimmy Olsen, a knowledgeable person said," WSJ's Ben Fritz wrote.
Skyler Gisondo plays Jimmy Olsen, while Edi Gathegi takes on the role of Mister Terrific in Superman.
If either potential spinoff comes to fruition, it'd be an interesting and enjoyable move by Gunn and DC. While this approach hasn't been incredibly common, the Superman director's comments in recent months prove that he has an open mind about new projects and storylines that differ from the norm.
Superman has all the makings of a home run, so it's safe to assume that fans can also expect to see Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor) and the rest of the cast more in the future.
And from the sound of it, there's a decent chance we'll see additional films expanding on this franchise as well.

Rock Legend Makes Major Revelation About His Health
Rick Springfield is synonymous with the 1980s. His hit song Jessie's Girl is a classic. And, at age 75, he's still touring.
But now the iconic rocker is sharing revelations about his health.
On July 10, he appeared on the Today Show and revealed that he suffered "lasting damage" to his brain when he fell during a concert in Las Vegas 25 years ago.
“I was doing the show in Vegas, and I fell actually 25 feet to a steel stage," the rocker said on the show.
He revealed that he was supposed to "be suspended from a beam on a gravity-fed harness system," but “it wasn’t tied off,” so he "slammed (onto the stage), and then the beam hit me on the head and then my head hit the (stage) again.”
At the time, doctors thought he had just broken his wrist, but he recently underwent an MRI.
That's when they found "brain damage and scarring," according to Springfield.
Springfield explained to TODAY that he underwent the MRI as a precautionary measure.
“My dad died from not wanting to know,” Springfield said on the show. “He thought he had stomach cancer for years and never got it checked out. When he finally collapsed one day at home, they found out it was an ulcer that burst, and he died from the loss of blood. It could have been fixed if he had gotten it checked out.”
Springfield is touring, and the New York Post asked him to respond to people who call him a "one-hit wonder."
“I’d say you obviously weren’t listening in the eighties,” Springfield told the site. “There was a point where Elton John and I were tied for the most top 20 songs of the eighties…which is a funny thing to say. Elton has been following me all my career.”
The tour starts July 11 in New Jersey, according to the Post.
"Going onstage is my Prozac and all my worries don’t come onstage with me," Springfield told the Post.
It’s a high you can’t get any other way unless you do acid or drink heavily and that has a real downside. I love playing live. I always say I get paid to travel. I play for free."

'Dexter' Actor Explains Major Plot Twist in New Series
After the last season of Dexter, fans thought they'd seen the last of the serial killer blood spatter expert.
After all, at the end of Dexter: New Blood, the titular character died. He was shot by his son Harrison, no less. Or was he?
Now, Michael C. Hall, who plays Dexter Morgan, has explained the major plot twist in the new series Dexter: Resurrection. Namely, how could Dexter be back?
“Well, you know, he didn’t get shot in the head,” Hall told the Guardian.
According to the Guardian reporter, Hall attempted "to explain Dexter’s latest miraculous comeback to me over Zoom."
“The conversation started as a result of my saying, ‘What if he didn’t die?’” he revealed to the Guardian. “I can’t take credit for the whole scope of what we’re up to, but it was a notion that I casually floated. What if the end of New Blood was something that enabled Dexter to relinquish some burden that he’d been carrying for a long time?”
A group of serial killers gathers in New York, according to USA Today.
"They don't all live in New York City, but let's say they've been invited there; it's a gathering," Dexter creator Clyde Phillips said to USA Today. "This season is a unique launching pad for however many years this series will be going."
When is the new series launching?
The first two episodes premiere on July 11 on Paramount+ Premium.
"Dexter Morgan awakens from a coma and sets out for NYC to find Harrison," the network explains.
The network has posted an official trailer. "Somebody once told me, you have to go through hell to achieve resurrection. Hallelujah," Dexter says at the beginning of it.
It shows Dexter in New York, where "nobody knows who you really are," Dexter narrates the trailer.

Hiker, 67, Found Dead on Popular Trail in Grand Canyon National Park
An investigation is underway following the death of a hiker in Grand Canyon National Park.
ABC News reports that the body of a 67-year-old man from Alvarado, Texas, was discovered at approximately 12 p.m. local time on Tuesday, July 8, just below the park’s Central Ridge. The man had been hiking the popular South Kaibab Trail on his way to the Colorado River, where he was booked for an overnight stay at the park’s historic—and nearly impossible to book—Phantom Ranch lodge.

The Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center dispatched medical assistance after receiving a call about an unresponsive hiker found on the trail. While awaiting the medical team, who arrived on foot, fellow park goers reportedly attempted to resuscitate the man. Both their attempts and those of the park's official medical personnel were unsuccessful, and the unnamed victim was pronounced dead.
While an investigation has been opened into the incident, National Park Service officials did note that hikers can be exposed to dangerous temperature spikes in the summer months, which can reach higher than 120 degrees.

“In addition to the heat, pre-existing medical conditions can compound physical stress, making summer hiking particularly risky, especially during the peak heat hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,” NPS said in a statement. “Park rangers strongly advise against hiking in the inner canyon during those hours and urge all visitors to take extreme caution when planning hikes during the summer months.”
In May, a 74-year-old hiker, who was later identified as Dennis Smith of Olympia, Washington, died under similar circumstances just off the park's North Kaibab Trail. Park officials subsequently issued a warning about excessive heat following the tragedy.
Despite the heat risks, the summer season is the Grand Canyon’s busiest tourist season. Each year, an estimated 5 million visitors travel through the park between June and August.
