‘Strangers’ Director Zach Cregger Clears the Air on Script Rumors for Potential DCU Movie
Right on the heels of an impressive debut for the recently released Weapons, director Zach Cregger dropped a tidbit that left DCU fans doing a double-take. Cregger, who’s one of the surging stars among directors in Hollywood, followed up the 2022 hit Barbarian with Weapons, which earned rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
Right around the release of his latest movie, Cregger told The Hollywood Reporter, via its newsletter, Heat Vision, that he had written a script that’s one of his personal favorites ever, and it’s a potential DC Studios film. The potential movie, “Henchmen,” is apparently a completely unique and standalone film from the DCU.
As exciting as the details were, Cregger recently addressed the topic and cleared the air after speculation began running rampant.
Zach Cregger Says Potential DC Script ‘Getting Blown out of Proportion Online’
Gilbert Flores/Getty Images
Cregger recently joined the Double Toasted podcast, and the topic of the script for Henchmen came up. While he didn’t backtrack any of the details initially revealed, he did address the fact that speculation is “getting blown out of proportion.”
The Weapons director went on to clarify a few of the topics he’s likely seen swirling on social media, including the topic of it being a “Joker and Harley Quinn script,” while also confirming that he hasn’t talked to DC Studios’ co-CEO James Gunn about it, as Culture Crave revealed.
"This is getting blown out of proportion online,” Cregger said.” “…It's not a Joker and Harley Quinn script…I've not talked to James Gunn about it…I have [two other films] in front of me…People have written a lot about it online, and not much of it is true.”
For what it’s worth, Cregger never called it a Joker and Harley Quinn movie, and that wasn’t the initial report, either. He also never mentioned that he spoke to James Gunn about it, which is unsurprising given that either rumor would likely gain traction if it surfaced on social media.
For now, Cregger’s script is just that—a script that he loves, which could potentially become a DC Studios film, nothing more and nothing less. Even with the director clearing the air on the topic, don’t expect the rumors to cool off, especially as he’s set to direct the 2026 film Resident Evil.

Druski Stuns Fans With NASCAR Skit Video
Druski is a comedian and entrepreneur from Georgia who is known for his edgy and, at times, controversial skits.
It's earning him comparisons to Sacha Baron Cohen. "Druski is on a Da Ali G show level of character work," wrote one man.
He is a social media influencer who has 1.5 million followers on X and 10.5 million on Instagram.Rolling Stone named Druski its 2nd most influential creator of 2025.
On the evening of Sept. 2, Druski posted a video to both pages that showed him posing as his idea of a stereotypical NASCAR fan, complete with overalls, a cowboy hat, farmer's tan sunburn, and a lot of white body makeup. No one appeared to figure out it was Druski, at least not in the video, due to the complete transformation.
Be forewarned that the video, which has racked up more than 11 million views in just three hours, contains some disturbing scenes. Druski makes a statement on racism in the video, which is an exercise in satire and immediately provoked debate online.
In another recent skit, Druski fooled fans at a Rod Wave concert by pretending to be the rapper/singer.
"When it comes to the stiff competition for funnymen online, 30-year-old Drew Desbordes, a.k.a. Druski, continues to set the tone," Rolling Stone wrote, noting that he got his start on Instagram and has appeared on the BET Awards stage.
Fans Were at a Loss for Words After Seeing the Video of Druski at the NASCAR Event

The complete transformation shocked fans. "I literally have no words," wrote one woman.
"Makeup artist went insane, actually," wrote a man.
"Your makeup artist needs some sort of award," a fan wrote on Druski's X comment thread. Another fan compared the skit to the movie Tropical Thunder.
However, another person wrote, "Conflicted because it’s funny but also I kinda hate to see it," arguing that Druski was promoting a "stereotype."
Who is Druski? The viral video and debate had some fans wondering more about Druski. His real name is Drew Desbordes, according to his bio on the United Talent website.
"Comedic timing is an art that few have mastered, yet it’s one that Drew Desbordes has been cultivating for years before his fame. Known to the world as 'Druski,' the comedian/entrepreneur has carved a niche for himself crystalized by his authenticity and innovating approach to making people laugh," the website bio says. "As Druski enters the next level in his career, he is well on his way to becoming a household name."
Druski tricked the entire crowd at Rod Wave’s concert when he came on stage pretending to be him 😭 pic.twitter.com/hl7N8Rjmk4
— FearBuck (@FearedBuck) August 30, 2025
The bio says that Druski was born in Maryland but raised in Gwinnet County, GA.
“I was always funny and always entertaining,” he said in the bio, adding, “ I also come from a really funny family, from my grandma right down to my brother.”
The bio says that he grew up with his parents watching comedians like Cedric The Entertainer and Dave Chappelle. In college, he "started looking at clips from like Diddy, Will Smith, Steve Harvey, watching all this inspirational movement on what they did and the feelings they had. They were saying the same type of things I was feeling—like I had more to my life.”
He dropped out of school, worked at Red Lobster, and then started writing jokes "in the Notes app on his phone," the bio says, adding that he started going viral online and has toured with Chris Brown, Lil Baby, and J. Cole. He has also appeared in commercials and launched a 100-city comedy tour.
“I still don’t feel like I’ve had my ‘big break’ yet,” he said in the bio. “I see myself just like everybody else, and I just hope that I can make a connection to people and make the world laugh.”
Expert Shares How to Save Hundreds on Flights With Google Trick
Every frequent traveler has experienced the struggle of trying to wait for the perfect time to book their flights to ensure the lowest price possible, only to guess incorrectly and end up paying more anyway.
Last month, I flew to Seattle for a good friend's wedding in Olympic National Park. In the weeks leading up to my trip, I kept my eye on the prices, watching them fall consistently, only to wake up one day and realize the fare had doubled since I last looked.
Booking a flight for the right price is one of the most stressful parts of traveling, but one expert has recently shared a useful Google trick that can make the whole process a lot easier.
How Airlines Set PricingAirlines make use of sophisticated algorithms that adjust fares based on demand, seasonality, competitor pricing, and even how many people are searching for specific routes.
For this reason, SEO expert Richard Edwards explains, fares often change multiple times per day for a variety of reasons.
“Think of it like surge pricing for rideshares, but much more complex,” said Edwards, who is the Founder and CEO of Vibra Media, a digital PR agency that helps businesses maximize their online visibility. “A Tuesday morning flight to Paris might cost $200 at 9 a.m. and $280 by lunchtime, simply because the algorithm detected increased interest.”
The Mistake Most People MakeThe biggest mistake that most customers make, Edwards explained, is using traditional, rigid search strategies where they input exact dates and destinations into their search.
“People always ask me about ‘secret’ flight deals or hidden fares that airlines don't want you to find. The truth is, there aren't any ‘secret’ prices. Everything is publicly available. The real secret is how you search,” Edwards said.
“Most travelers approach flight booking like shopping for groceries, with a rigid list of exactly what they want. But flights aren't groceries. They're dynamic products where flexibility equals savings. The airlines aren't hiding cheaper fares from you. They're just not making them easy to find with traditional search methods.”
Edwards said that the trick to saving up to hundreds of dollars on your flights is being flexible in your
“Last month, I was helping a friend find flights to Italy,” Edwards said. “Direct searches to Rome showed $450 minimum. But the Explore Map revealed flights to Naples for $190. Same country, same week, but $260 savings just by being flexible about the exact airport.”
From there, travelers can take a quick train for far less than it would have cost to fly directly into Rome.
How to Use This TrickWhile you could accomplish this by simply checking the fares to each airport near your desired destination, Edwards has a trick to make the whole search process a lot easier: Google Flights' Explore Map feature.
Instead of searching for specific destinations in the Google search bar, this tool allows users to search prices across multiple cities at once, all displayed visually.
“Here's the game-changer most people ignore,” says Edwards. “Open Google Flights, enter your departure city, but leave the destination completely blank. Then click on the map view. Suddenly, you can see flight prices to dozens of cities across Europe, all displayed visually.”
This often shows you far more flight options than you were previously even considering, sometimes with cheaper flights you didn't even know existed.
“When you use tools like the Explore Map strategically, you're not accessing hidden inventory, but simply seeing the full picture of what's available,” Edwards said. “That broader view almost always reveals cheaper options you'd never have considered otherwise.”
How to Use This FeatureGo to Google Flights and enter your departure airportLeave the destination field emptySelect your travel dates (or choose “flexible dates”)Click the map icon to view the Explore MapBrowse prices across multiple destinations simultaneouslyUse filters for budget, trip length, or specific airlinesUse Google Fare Tracking, TooWhile the Explore Map technique allows travelers to see all the possible options for their desired destinations, Edwards suggests combining this technique with Google's fare tracking feature.
Once a traveler has determined all of the possible flight options, they can then use the fare tracking feature to find the lowest possible price.
“The map shows you what's possible, but alerts catch the price drops,” he explains. “I'll often find three potential destinations using the map, then set alerts for all three. When one drops significantly, that's my trigger to book.”
I Tried It MyselfI recently used this approach myself when my wife and I were planning a trip to St. Pete Beach in Florida. Having traveled there many times, I know that the closest airport is in Tampa. However, a flight to Tampa was nowhere near the least expensive way to get there.
Using the Explore Map technique, I was able to determine that it was far cheaper to fly into Sarasota or Orlando, then drive to St. Pete Beach, than it was to fly into Tampa. Given that I was going to be renting a car anyway, it didn't matter all that much if I had a little longer drive from the airport.
While this trick doesn't help you find hidden secret fares, it does help you find routes that you might not have even considered before, especially if your travel plans are flexible.
One of Adidas' Best Fall Sneakers Is 30% Off Right Now
Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Why We Love This DealWhether you’ve run your way through the heat and humidity of summer (and have the worn-out shoes to prove it) or you’re looking to start pounding the pavement in more comfortable temperatures, it’s a nice time to buy a new pair of casual running shoes for everyday comfort. What makes it even nicer is the $30 price cut on a superlight, super cushioned pair from Adidas.
Adidas Lightblaze Shoes are just $70 at Adidas right now, a 30% discount from their normal $100 price tag. They're on sale in seven of nine available colorways, and these shoes have earned more than 230 five-star ratings from folks who call them “lightweight and comfortable” and, critically, “easy to style.”
Adidas Lightblaze Shoes, From $70 (was $100) at Adidas
Every company that makes athletic shoes has its own synthetic midsole material. Adidas calls theirs Lightstrike and says it provides “super-light cushioning plus energy return” without the carbon fiber plates you’ll find in (much) more expensive runners. That means they’re a solid choice for non-marathoners and people who plan to wear these shoes for style more than performance.
And speaking of style, Lightblaze shoes have the exact chaotic energy of so-called Y2K sneakers like the Saucony Ride Millennium and New Balance 1906R that are en vogue at the moment.
What Shoppers Are SayingOld folks need comfortable shoes. Runners need comfortable shoes. So when a runner in their 60s with “always sore feet” writes that “These sneakers are so comfortable,” “give perfect support, and are very breathable,” you should listen.
On the aesthetic side of things, an almost certainly younger reviewer wrote that these shoes are “pretty easy to style” because “the chunky dad shoe look is still in and these hit the mark.” And while it might not contribute to the look of these shoes, they also liked that “the Lightstrike midsole is responsive and has a firm marshmallow feel to it,” along with being impressively light.
If you need a sneaker for longer walks and/or shorter runs, or just looking fresh, Adidas Lightblaze Shoes are a great choice. They combine an in-demand aesthetic with real comfort, and the chance to save $30 makes them even more appealing. This sale ends on Sept. 4, though, so we’d recommend shopping ASAP to make sure time and inventory don’t run out.

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Why We Love This DealWe’re big fans of Nisolo here at Men’s Journal. For almost 15 years, the brand has been crafting reliably strong and elegantly simple leather goods and footwear that are built for the long haul, opting for a handcrafted process that's apparent over the long haul. The Loreto Messenger Bag is no exception, and it’s half off right now.
With Nisolo’s Labor Day Sale going on for a few more hours, you can still get the $180 Nisolo Loreto Messenger Bag for $90 if you use the code SITE30 at checkout, but you'll have to hurry, as this sale wraps up at the end of the day on Sept. 2. Since the bag was already discounted to $129, the extra 30% off makes this a 50% off deal, and a discount that size may not come around again until Black Friday (that’s not guaranteed, either).
Nisolo Loreto Messenger Bag, $90 (was $180) at Nisolo
Handmade in León, Mexico, the Loreto Messenger Bag is made using durable waxed canvas and lined with cotton canvas, making it sturdier compared to traditional nylon/low-quality leather counterparts (and water-resistant to boot). You can carry it like a briefcase using the leather handle, or throw it over your shoulder using the adjustable leather shoulder strap. As for storage, you’re getting a large exterior pocket, a padded laptop sleeve for your electronics, interior organization pockets, and a water bottle holder. The leather and canvas will develop a mature look over time, but they also require a bit of maintenance.
While Nisolo conveniently offers a leather care kit (which is worth picking up if you want to be extra safe with the leather details), there are a few tips for taking care of waxed canvas. First, never throw this bag in the washer or dryer. If you need to clean it, gently brush the area and use either cold water or mild soap if the stain or dirt isn’t coming out. Then rinse it off and let it air dry.
What Owners are SayingIf you haven’t owned a messenger bag before or are just wondering if this pick will be up to the task, one owner wrote at length about how convenient it is (especially how the water bottle pocket keeps your drinks upright), and summed it up with, “This bag has everything I've been looking for in an everyday work bag,” and it’s the “perfect business casual bag.”
The quality construction and timeless style mean this bag will last for years and look good the whole time: “This is the second time I've purchased this bag. It is absolutely a lifetime favorite that will never get old.”
Whether you’re a student or a worker on the move, the Nisolo Loreto Messenger Bag is a worthy travel companion that should last you for years to come, and it’s an absolute steal for just $90. Nisolo’s Labor Day sale is likely wrapping up very soon, so now’s the time to pick this up.

In the iconic western Dances With Wolves, Kevin Costner played Lt. John Dunbar, a soldier who ends up living with the Sioux tribe, where he befriends the tribal leader, Kicking Bird.
The actor who played Kicking Bird, Graham Greene, in movies and on television, but many people remember him best for the 1990 Dances With Wolves role, and the bond forged on screen between Costner's character and Greene's.
Now, Costner is remembering Greene in the wake of the actor's death at age 73 on Sept. 1.

Costner shared a video to his Instagram page that contained a scene from the movie.
"A few things come to mind when I think of Graham Greene and our time together on Dances With Wolves," he wrote.
"I think of how willing he was to learn the Lakota language. I think of my joy when I heard that his work on the film was recognized with an @theacademy Awards nomination," wrote Costner. Greene was Canadian and Oneida.
"And I think of this scene in particular, when he was able to establish so much about the relationship between Dunbar and the natives with so few words. He was a master at work and a wonderful human being," Costner added. "I’m grateful to have been witness to this part of his lasting legacy. Rest in peace, Graham."
The scene Costner shared shows Greene and Costner communicating with each other as Costner acts like a buffalo.

One of Amazon's Top-Rated Budget Hiking Boots Is Now Under $50, and They're Surprisingly Rugged
Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Why We Love This DealYou don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on a well-known logo to get a solid pair of hiking boots these days. Nortiv 8 (though a lesser-known brand) is proving just that. It's one of a few emerging labels on Amazon that are regularly seen in the top 5 bestseller rankings. And while they're already marked at an affordable price, getting them on sale makes them even more worth trying.
You can score a pair of Nortiv 8 Paladin Waterproof Hiking Boots for as low as $46 on Amazon right now. It's a savings of up to 20% off their normal price tag of $57, and the lowest price of the season that we know of. They've accumulated well over 12,500 five-star ratings, which should raise a green flag for prospective but skeptical buyers.
Nortiv 8 Paladin Waterproof Hiking Boots, From $46 (was $57) on Amazon
The Paladin is what we'd consider the second-most popular model from Nortiv 8 (the Armadillo is the definitive No. 1 bestseller on Amazon), but there's nothing not to like about it.
It's also a fantastic budget-friendly alternative to one of the hottest boots of the year, the Salomon X Ultra 5 Mid Gore-Tex Hiking Boots (which many consider the best available right now). Both are waterproof and share a similar mid-height cut with optimal ankle support, mixed-terrain grippy soles (Nortiv’s slip-resistant multi-directional lugs are excellent), cushioned EVA midsoles, and memory foam insoles, as well as reinforced soles and toe caps.
What sets this pair of Nortiv 8s apart, though, is its lighter design at 15.2 ounces, smaller heel-to-toe drop, lower price, and dozen-plus color options.
It's also worth noting that, like all shoes on Amazon, the cost of each boot varies by color and size.
What Shoppers Are SayingSo many reviewers mentioned how comfortable these boots are that it’s hard to choose just one comment that stands out, but when one noted that “these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had the privilege of placing on my feet" because they feel like "walking on little clouds,” you take notice.
Another compared them to several brand-name boots they've owned in the past. “I’ve owned a myriad of boots, from Salomon to UA, and these feel just as nice on my feet, and the waterproof seems to be legit.”
For only $46, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better value in a pair of hiking boots than the Nortiv 8 Paladin. It's slated as a limited-time deal, so be sure to “Add to Cart” now, as this price could disappear at a moment’s notice.

This Wildly Simple Costco Serving Hack Is a Total Game-Changer for Meal Prepping
As the fall season begins, Costco brings backs favorite, heartier prepared foods. In addition to the iconic chicken pot pie, the ready to bake Shepherd’s Pie is back in the warehouse.
Anyone who has purchased that large item understands that it is a lot of food. According to the label, one Kirkland’s Signature Shepherd’s Pie averages about 18 servings. With this genius hack, one purchase turns into multiple meals.
How to Turn This Costco Favorite into Multiple Meals. For those unfamiliar with the Costco Shepherd’s Pie, the large, ready-to-bake dish starts with a hefty helping of ground beef mixed with vegetables. The meat mixture is topped with whipped potatoes. Since it is a hearty dish, a smaller serving satisfies.
According to this Reddit hack, one user divided the Shepherd’s Pie into four equal servings. Basically, they quartered the dish. One portion was used for dinner and the other three portions when into separate containers to be frozen for another time.

While the Reddit account used disposable, single use containers, reusable meal prep containers would work just as well. Additionally, people could make smaller portions.
If smaller portions were desired, consider a clock analogy for portion sizes. The round Sheperd’s Pie could be divided into four, eight or 12 equal portions.
Can Portioning Costco Pre-Made Meals Be a Money Saver? Many shoppers appreciate the deals up and down the Costco warehouse aisles. From special savings on favorite protein brands to discounts on small appliances, the popular store is known for its cost-effective shopping.
At the same time, some of the sizes are substantial for an individual. The Shepherd’s Pie hack is just one example of turning a single item into a multi-meal offering.

Many of the ready-to-bake items can be portioned and saved for another time. From the new barbecue chicken mac and cheese to even the classic stuffed peppers, no one must eat those large meals in one setting.
The only meal that might be difficult to portion is the iconic chicken pot pie. While people love that flakey crust and succulent chicken filling, the dish does not cut evenly. That meal is better suited for a large group. Or, people must eat leftover food for a few days.
Costco Just Brought Back Its Massive Protein-Packed Chicken Pot Pie and Fans Say It Signals the Start of Fall
Few dishes capture the essence of comfort food quite like chicken pot pie. With its golden, flaky, buttery crust and creamy, hearty filling, it's the kind of meal that instantly warms you from the inside out. And just as cooler nights are beginning to creep in, Costco has answered the call by releasing its massive Kirkland Signature Chicken Pot Pie for the fall season.
A Seasonal TraditionFor many shoppers, the return of this ready-to-bake entrée has become as much a seasonal ritual as pumpkin spice lattes or Oktoberfest beer. The hefty pie, priced at around $22, or roughly $4 per pound, is large enough to feed an entire family, stockpile for leftovers, or bring to the next tailgate. Each pie comes packed with savory chicken, tender vegetables, and creamy gravy—all wrapped in a lattice-topped double crust that makes it as attractive as it is comforting.
Instagrammer @costcohotfinds is helping fuel the excitement, posting: "Chicken Pot Pies are back at Costco and this is my unofficial start to fall." The sentiment is echoed on posts across social media where fans are celebrating the pie's return.
View this post on InstagramWhy All the Buzz?A post shared by Laura Jayne Lamb (@costcohotfinds)
Beyond just the convenience of a pre-made dinner, the Kirkland Pot Pie has become a cult favorite because it tastes homemade without spending hours in the kitchen. At a time when food prices are climbing and life seems to be getting more hectic, it's a cost-conscious choice for busy families. A single pie almost feeds an entire crowd, and leftovers freeze well, making it perfect for planning out meals ahead of time.
Several shoppers have also shared tips on how to elevate the already hearty dish. @costcohotfinds recommends brushing the crust with an egg wash before baking to produce a more golden-brown crust, and covering with foil halfway through to prevent over-browning. Some fans even suggest serving it with extra homemade gravy for added richness.

A Comfort Food IconFor many shoppers, the return of Costco's Chicken Pot Pie sparks a bit of nostalgia. Pot pie has been a long-time staple in many American homes, whether baked in grandma's kitchen, or popped out of the freezer and into a toaster oven in a college apartment. It's a hearty, reliable and familiar dish that's baked with nostalgia and cozy memories. The exact kind of dish that people crave when the weather cools and days become shorter. By bringing back their oversized version each autumn, Costco taps into that shared sense of comfort and tradition, turning a simple dinner into a seasonal ritual.
Affordable, nostalgic, and indulgent, the Kirkland Signature Pot Pie at Costco is unsurprisingly a fan favorite. The math is simple: cooling temps + Costco's Chicken Pot Pie = heartwarming coziness.
