Our Favorite Hermés Cologne Is Nearly 50% Off at Amazon Right Now, and Shoppers Say It’s 'an Exceptional Fragrance'

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services.  If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Amazon Prime Day is almost over, but there are still excellent deals to be found before things wrap up. One that we're still shocked to see in stock is one of our favorite colognes of the year, and it's nearly 50% off.

The Hermès Terre D'Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver Eau De Parfum is on sale for $82, which is $70 off the original $152 price tag. This popular cologne boasts over 100 five-star ratings at Amazon, and shoppers say it’s “fresh but elegant at the same time” and simply a “fantastic cologne.”

Smelling your best is easy with this cologne. It comes in a stylish but solid bottle that holds 3.4 ounces of liquid — more than enough for daily usage. As for the scent, the woody aromatic fragrance contains a blend of bergamot, grapefruit, lemon, amber wood, and more, making for the ultimate combination that is rich and strong, but not overpowering. In terms of pricing, this perfume is a cool 46% off for the final hours of Prime Day, but it’s worth noting that this is not a Prime Day deal. That means any shopper, Amazon Prime member or not, can enjoy the incredible offer and make the most of the sweet-smelling scent.

“This is one of my all-time favorite perfumes from the Hermès collection,” one reviewer began. “The smell has a very warm and welcoming scent that shows elegance. Simple yet, makes a presence and stays on for a decent amount of time — sometimes lasting all day and more.”

“It’s an exceptional fragrance,” another buyer said. “It exudes a bold, masculine character, perfectly balanced with warm musk and refreshing citrus notes. The blend is sophisticated and timeless, making it a standout choice for those who appreciate refined yet powerful scents.”

The Hermès Terre D'Hermès Eau Intense Vetiver Eau De Parfum has already sold out in multiple sizes, so there’s no telling how long it’ll be in stock before Prime Day ends on July 11. Add it to your cart ASAP before you miss out on your chance to score $70 in savings.

Walmart Issues Nationwide Recall on 850,000 Water Bottles After 2 People Blinded

Ozark Trail, Walmart’s private-label brand is a go-to for many shoppers seeking outdoor gear and camping equipment. Their products are known for being dupes of name brand items, such as tumblers, wagons, backpacks, tents and coolers. Walmart recently issued a recall on one of their most popular Ozark Trail items that consumers should be aware of.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Walmart recalls 850,000 Ozark Trail 64-ounce Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles due to serious impact and laceration hazards. According to the report, “the lid can forcefully eject, posing serious impact and laceration hazards, when a consumer attempts to open the capped bottles after food, carbonated beverages or perishable beverages, such as juice or milk, are stored inside over time.”

Walmart has received three reports of injuries because of the lid "forcefully popping off" of the bottle when opened. All three customers who reported injuries were hit in the face, with two of them reporting permanent vision damage due to eye injuries.

The water bottles are silver with a one-piece black screw cap lid. The original product package displays a model number of 83-662, but the model number is not printed on the water bottle itself.

Owners of this product should discontinue use and can return the bottle to a Walmart store for a full refund.

Walmart Is Selling Coleman's $385 8-Person Tent for $190 Right Now, and Campers Say It's 'Very Easy' to Set Up

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services.  If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Prime Day, schmime day. Walmart’s July Deals event has tons of sizable discounts on everything from infrared saunas to hiking hats. Among the best discounts we’ve spotted is what can only be described as one of the best tents from Coleman, a massive shelter that'll fit the whole family, and it's half off.

The Coleman Tenaya Lake 8-Person Cabin Tent is just $190, $195 less than the $385 it normally runs. It’s earned 35 five-star ratings, and reviewers say it has “lots of room,” has “no leaks in heavy rain,” and is “very easy and straightforward to set up.” The consensus is that if you’re looking to go camping with a crowd, it’s a great choice.

With pre-attached, color-coded top poles and hub, setting this tent up is quick and painless—Coleman says it takes just 9 minutes. Once it’s up, you can enter via the hinged door, use the built-in closet with shelves and hanger bar, and stay dry thanks to the patented WeatherTec system with welded floors and inverted seams (and included rainfly). The interior is big enough to fit two queen sleeping pads, and there’s a room divider for extra privacy. Rounding out the features are reflective guy lines that are easier to spot (and avoid tripping over) at night and a wheeled carry bag for secure transport.

One reviewer wrote that they fit “three large dog crates, camping stuff, and my husband and me with plenty of room” left over. It’s also impressively “easy to set up and tear down for a big tent,” one that’s tall enough to stand up in addition to being big enough to fit eight people.

Another shopper bought this tent after selling their pop-up camper. It “went together easily, even the first time.” It went so well, they said they were “really impressed and know we will enjoy this tent so much!”

The Coleman Tenaya Lake 8-Person Cabin Tent is a great tent if you need a lot of space, and, with a 51% discount, it’s going for a great price. That price should last through the end of this sale on July 13, but that doesn’t mean that supplies will. Our recommendation: grab one today and enjoy your next big camping trip in style.

When Does July's Full 'Buck' Moon Peak?

July's full moon, called the "Buck Moon," will reach peak illumination on Thursday, July 10 at 4:37 p.m. ET, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac

However, for those of us located in the North America, the Buck Moon will be at its fullest while the moon is still below the horizon, so the best time to see the moon at its peak will be at moonrise, shortly after the sun sets Thursday evening. Just look toward the south-east at dusk in your time zone to watch it rise. You can also check out this moon calculator to figure out exactly when the Buck Moon will be visible in your area if you're unsure.

According to NASA, the best place to view the full moon rising will be in an area with an unobstructed view of the eastern horizon and free of lights, weather permitting. There will be no other planets visible during the full moon on Thursday, although Venus, Jupiter and Mars will make appearances later in the month, so keep an eye on the sky over the next few weeks.

Although the Buck moon reaches its peak today, it will still be visibly full through July 11, so if you can't catch it at its peak tonight, you'll still have a chance to enjoy the full moon in all its glory through Friday night.

“The nice thing about the full moon is it looks full about a day on either side of it, so on the night of the 9th, for instance, if you go out and look at the full moon, it will look effectively full. Similarly, if you miss it on the 10th, the night of the 11th it will also look fairly full,” said Noah Petro, chief of NASA’s Planetary Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry Laboratory.

The Buck Moon is the farthest full moon from the sun all year and one of the lowest in the sky, second only to last month's Strawberry Moon on June 11, according to LiveScience. It is also the first full moon in the astrological summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

The full Moon in July is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer, known as bucks, are in full growth-mode this time of year after their annual shed. The term Buck Moon is linked to various native American tribes, who also called it the Salmon Moon, the Rasbery Moon, and the Thunder Moon, according to Earth Sky. It was also dubbed the Hay Moon by the English due to its closeness to the midsummer harvest, and the Celtic called it the Claiming Moon, Wyrt Moon, Herb Moon and Mead Moon, among others.

The next full moon, the Sturgeon Moon, will rise on Saturday, August 9, followed by the Harvest Moon on September 7. Check out the dates of the last few full moons of 2025 below:

Aug. 9- Sturgeon MoonSept. 7- Harvest MoonOct. 6- Hunter’s MoonNov. 5- Beaver MoonDec. 4- Cold Moon

James Gunn’s Blunt 'Superman' Directing Style Shook David Corenswet. And He Loved It

James Gunn has showcased his unique approach and mindset in virtually every aspect of the movie industry. His comments during press appearances ahead of the release of Superman, paired with what members of the cast say about him, have proven that.

No one learned more about Gunn's unique directing style, though, than Superman himself, Dave Corenswet.

The newest Man of Steel has given Gunn high praise several times, especially recently, while squarely in the public eye. However, what Corenswet said recently about the director and co-CEO of DC Studios is the most noteworthy statement yet.

It's also extremely telling as we watch Superman earn praise from critics and fans alike. The rapport between Corenswet and Gunn appears to have had a significant impact on the movie, leading some to believe that Superman could prove to be one of the best superhero films in a long time.

(L-R) James Gunn, David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult promote the upcoming film 'Superman' at the Warner Bros. Pictures presentation during CinemaCon.

Mindy Small/WireImage

During a recent interview with GQ, Corenswet detailed how different Gunn's directing style is. He also admitted to "desperately" needing the unique approach, which included Gunn not "beating around the bush" while on set.

"I think in a lot of ways, James and I are made for each other,” Corenswet says. "James has this habit of, as you’re working on the scene, he’ll sit back by the monitors on the God mic and he’ll yell directions at you, which is not how directors generally work. You usually do the scene, they say cut, and then they come and say very privately and quietly, 'I loved that moment where you did this. What if we tried something else in the next one?'"

Corenswet admitted that Gunn's style of directing was not only different but also likely a curveball for many others in the industry.

"That is something that would throw lots of actors off, and understandably so. For me, the second that happened, I went, okay, this is going to be great because I have no idea what I’m doing. I desperately need a director," Corenswet continued.

"I need a director who knows what they want and is willing to say it out loud without too much politeness and without beating around the bush. If I’m no good, tell me I’m no good, and then let’s work together to make me good."

From the sound of it, Corenswet and Gunn are a match made in movie heaven. The approach that best fit both sides was precisely what the other needed, which is rare to find even beyond the big screen.

After months of anticipation and excitement from fans, Corenswet's Superman debut has finally arrived. Fortunately, based on the early returns, it seems to be living up to the hype, as the movie boasts a stellar 96 percent fan rating on Rotten Tomatoes in the early going.

NVIDIA Hits Huge $4 Trillion Milestone: How Did It Become So Valued?

The tech giant NVIDIA has just hit a massive milestone, reaching a market cap of over $4 trillion, making history. But how did they achieve such an overwhelming value?

Let's go to the beginning. Per their website, NVIDIA was "founded on April 5, 1993, by Jensen Huang, Chris Malachowsky, and Curtis Priem, with a vision to bring 3D graphics to the gaming and multimedia markets."

Their first big breakthrough was the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) in 1999. A GPU is a specialized chip designed to perform many simple calculations in parallel, making it ideal for rendering images, video, and 3D graphics. Today, that same parallel power also accelerates tasks like artificial intelligence training, scientific simulations, and cryptocurrency mining.

The masterstroke was the release of CUDA in 2006. A widely available software that lets a graphics card crunch numbers, not just pixels. Labs and hobbyists suddenly had cheap supercomputers, but their code now ran best on NVIDIA hardware. Every new scientific paper or crypto craze quietly sold more green-logo NVIDIA cards.

Culture did the rest. E-sports and streaming kept gamers upgrading, while remote gaming popularized cloud graphics. Most of all, deep learning breakthroughs in 2012 showed GPUs were perfect for artificial intelligence, igniting today’s generative AI boom.

Universities taught CUDA, Reddit buzzed about GPU builds, and TikTok creators filmed unboxing videos of their new NVIDIA products. Free marketing at a global scale. Demand for NVIDIA computing soared, and they already owned the toolbox.

Don't just take my word for it, take NVIDIA's. In their Timeline of Innovation, the company states,

"For more than 30 years, scientists, researchers, developers, and creators have been using NVIDIA technology to do amazing things. More than 4 million developers now create thousands of applications for accelerated computing. More than 40,000 companies use NVIDIA AI technologies, with 15,000 global startups in NVIDIA Inception."

Toxic Discovery in U.S. Lake Sets Off Global Alarm

Holloman Lake in southern New Mexico has captured the attention of environmental scientists worldwide, and not for the reasons anyone wanted.

A newly published study found the lake now holds the highest levels of toxic “forever chemicals” ever recorded in natural water.

Researchers from the University of New Mexico discovered staggering concentrations of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in the lake’s water, surrounding soil, vegetation, and wildlife. In some samples, levels exceeded federal drinking water limits by more than 10,000 times. One bird and one plant tested carried the highest PFAS loads ever documented globally.

Often used in firefighting foam and industrial products, PFAS are linked to cancer, hormone disruption, infertility, and immune issues, and they don’t break down easily in the environment. What makes the findings at Holloman so alarming is that contamination doesn’t stop at the water’s edge.

According to the report, flooding from the lake has carried PFAS into nearby playas—temporary bodies of water that serve as crucial habitats for migratory birds. Scientists worry the chemicals could now be spreading across ecosystems via wildlife. The Santa Fe New Mexican reported that just one bite of duck meat from the lake could expose a person to a lifetime’s worth of PFAS.

“We are worried about the possibility of toxicity on reproduction and development in local birds,” said lead researcher Jean-Luc Cartron. “Contamination by PFAS could also be transgenerational.”

Researchers also observed oryx, an exotic species introduced to the region decades ago, drinking from the lake. And while hunting has been banned in the area since 2024, New Mexico health officials have warned anyone who consumed meat from Holloman wildlife in the past decade to consult a doctor.

This discovery adds fuel to a growing conversation about PFAS pollution in the U.S. and beyond. While other contaminated lakes exist, none have reached these levels. And although scientists are making progress in removing PFAS from water, the scale of the challenge remains massive.

The crisis at Holloman Lake isn’t just a local issue. It’s a flashing warning sign for the world.
