Who is Bix and Cassian's Baby in the 'Andor' Finale?

Although Cassian Andor's (Diego Luna) story seemingly concludes in the final moments of Andor Season 2, Episode 12, fans know that the true end to his story happened in 2016. So, if you're wondering if Andor Season 3 could happen in the future, the truth is, it basically already exists in the form of Rogue One. But does this movie feel the same as it did before? The short answer is no, it does not, for one big reason. And that reason seems to suggest that some version of Andor's story could continue in another form. Spoilers ahead for Andor Season 2, Episode 12, "Jedha, Kyber, Erso."

Why the Andor Ending Changes Rogue One

While the final moments of Andor Episode 12 find Cassian heading off to meet his contact and learn more about the Empire's superweapon, the true ending of the show lingers on the planet Mina-Rau, where we find that Bix (Adria Arjona) is holding a small child, meaning that when she left Cassian in Episode 9, she was doing it because she was pregnant.

So, now, when we watch Rogue One, and we see Cassian bond with Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), we know that on some level, he's still thinking about Bix. And, we also now know that even though Cassian Andor dies in Rogue One, there is at least one member of the Andor family alive at least until the end of the original Star Wars movie.

Who is Cassian and Bix's Baby in Star Wars?

Because Andor concludes right before the start of Rogue One, it's safe to say that little Andor would be about 30 years old around the time of the sequel movies, starting with The Force Awakens. This would make this person around the age of Oscar Isaac's beloved hotshot pilot character Poe Dameron.

So could this baby grow up to be Poe? The math works out, but certain Star Wars comics established that Poe's parents were different characters who fought for the Rebellion. But this off-screen backstory was before Andor had become a big deal, and well before Bix had been invented. So, while it's possible that the little Andor baby is a preexisting Star Wars character, it's equally possible that this is not someone we've ever met before.

In any case, the idea of Andor's child becoming a big deal in a future Star Wars story is very interesting. Right now, it seems very unlikely that Andor series creator Tony Gilroy will make a sequel show about Andor and Bix's baby. And yet, a lot of Star Wars has, traditionally, been about big family sagas. Why should the Andor family be any different?

'Reacher' Star Alan Ritchson Praises Owen Wilson After Filming New Movie ‘Runner'

Alan Ritchson has been a busy man recently, and fans of the Reacher star are likely to see more and more of him in the near future.

While Ritchson has created a fan-favorite television show in Reacher, his character is also beloved by the fanbase. Not surprisingly, that sentiment also appears to stand true for multiple directors and film studios.

Ritchson recently wrapped up the movie War Machine on Netflix, and is set for a leading role alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the comedy The Man with the Bag. However, the current project Ritchson is finishing filming, Runner, has generated some early buzz, as he's co-starring in the film alongside Owen Wilson.

Ritchson took to Instagram earlier this week as filming was winding down on the movie and praised the cast, director Scott Waugh and numerous others. But the 42-year-old actor's comments about Wilson truly jumped off the page.

After calling some of the performances in Runner "among the best I've been a part of," Ritchson heaped praise on his co-star.

"Owen Wilson is one of the most talented men I’ve worked with," Ritchson wrote. "Super brilliant mind and loveliest guy in the world. Insane ability to cut right to the heart and soul of a scene or piece of text."

The exceptionally high praise from Ritchson for Wilson brought plenty of love from fans on social media.

"Great! Looking forward to see you and Owen on screen!" wrote one fan.

"Please don’t change. Your fame is going into orbit." said another.

"With Owen Wilson! One of the best," replied another fan.

"Owen Wilson never gets enough credit for his talent. His performance in No Escape was excellent and riveting. I can't wait to watch Runner." read one comment.

"So glad you said that about Owen. I've always loved him," responded another fan.

Runner follows a high-end courier named Hank Malone (Ritchson) who's tasked with transporting an organ to save a seven-year-old girl in need of an immediate transplant. Malone has three hours to transport the organ, but things take a turn when the leader of a crime syndicate attempts to take it.

Ritchson's character is then also tasked with transporting and protecting Ben Bishop (Wilson), the medical courier handling the organ, as Deadline detailed.

Apple’s Siri Settlement Could Mean Cash for You—Here’s How

An unexpected email about something called the "Lopez Voice Assistant Class Action Settlement" might be sitting in your inbox. If it is, you could be entitled to a piece of a $95 million payout from Apple. The message isn’t a scam, but rather the result of a five-year-old lawsuit alleging the tech giant’s virtual assistant, Siri, was eavesdropping on private conversations.

Filed under the case name Lopez v. Apple Inc., the suit accused Apple of allowing Siri to activate unintentionally, listening in on users without consent across a range of devices, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and HomePods, between Sept. 17, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2024. Apple has denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle earlier this year.

Consumers who owned a Siri-enabled device during that timeframe and experienced what they believe to be unintended voice assistant activation may be eligible for compensation. Some people received email or postcard notices that include a claim identification and confirmation code. But even if you didn’t get a notification, you can still file a claim by visiting the settlement’s official website and entering your eligible devices manually. You’ll need the model and serial numbers of up to five Siri-enabled products, and you can choose to receive payment via check, e-check, or direct deposit.

If you’re approved, the payout could be up to $20 per Siri device, depending on how many valid claims are filed. The deadline to submit a claim is July 2. Final approval of the settlement is scheduled for a hearing on Aug. 1, and payments will begin once the court signs off and any appeals are resolved.

The settlement highlights ongoing scrutiny of how smart devices handle voice data. With Siri-enabled products potentially recording unintended audio, eligible users may now be able to file a claim based on when and how they used their devices. If you owned a Siri-capable Apple product between 2014 and 2024, it’s worth checking your email—or the claim site.

'Andor' Finale Has a Sneaky, Subtle Post-Credits Surprise

At the end of Star Wars: Andor, the final scenes suggest that there might be a future for some of the characters in the show, even though we know that Cassian himself is doomed. But, if you watch the last episode of Andor Season 2, Episode 12, all the way to the end — throughout the credits, you will find an interesting and telling Easter egg. For diehards, this reference makes a lot of sense, and even if you missed it, you’ll probably totally get the significance.

Here’s why the short sonic Easter egg at the end of Andor is cool, and why it makes the larger scope of the story a little more hopeful than it might seem. Spoilers ahead.

Andor Ending Explained

At the very end of Andor, Cassian (Diego Luna) is heading to the Rings of Kafrene to meet an informant with important information about the Empire. This is a setup for one of the earliest scenes in Rogue One in which Cassian meets with a guy named Tivik (Daniel Mays), who confirms that Galen Erso is working on a “planet killer” weapon, which we know as the Death Star. So, as Cassian flies into the sunset, entering the events of Rogue One, we cut away to the planet Mina-Rau, where we find Bix (Adria Arjona) holding a child. Now, it becomes clear that she left Yavin because she was pregnant and wanted to keep her and Cassian’s child away from the war.

Could a future Star Wars project explore what happened to this baby? In terms of age, this kid would be about the same age as Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) in the sequel movies. Will we ever get a follow-up? Who knows! For now, the story of Cassian Andor is over, and we all know that he dies at the end of Rogue One.

But the ending of Andor hints at the larger story of Star Wars with one specific Easter egg.

Andor Credits Features a Transition to 1977 Star Wars

At the very end of Andor’s credits, around the 44:00 minute mark, the music of Brandon Roberts segues to the classic music by John Williams, which concludes the original 1977 Star Wars movie; later retitled Star Wars: A New Hope.

Although Rogue One’s score, composed by Michael Giacchino, features some of the classic Star Wars John Williams music, both seasons of Andor almost never reference this famous, uplifting music. Until now! Because if you’re just letting the final episode of Andor play out, the last thing you’ll hear is the big, brassy, and hopeful sounds of classic Star Wars. This is a reminder that although Cassian’s future is tragic, the Death Star will be destroyed by a humble farmboy named Luke Skywalker.

Menendez Brothers Win Chance at Release During Resentencing

Lyle and Erik Menendez, who are often called "The Menendez brothers," are two of the most infamous convicted murderers in the United States, but they've won some sympathizers and, now, a chance at freedom.

According to The New York Times, on May 13, 2025, Lyle and Erik Menendez "were resentenced...to a prison sentence that included the possibility of parole."

How long have the brothers been in jail? Since 1990. Today Lyle Menendez is age 57, and Erik Menendez is 54. "Erik and Lyle shot and killed their parents, Jose and KittyMenendez, in the family’s Beverly Hills home on August 20, 1989," a court document in the case says.

That doesn't mean they will be released for sure, but it does mean that they have a chance to get out of prison, which they did not have before.

According to the Associated Press, the resentencing gives the brothers "a shot at freedom." The new sentence, AP reported, changed their punishment from "life without parole to 50 years to life."

The parole possibility is a new thing and it sets "the stage for their possible release" after serving more than 30 years behind bars, The Times also reported.

The brothers were convicted of killing their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. A court document paints a grisly scene, saying, "Erik and Lyle’s parents were unarmedand in the den, watching television and eating. Lyle and Erik burst through the doors of the den and fired 13 to 15 shotgun blasts at their parents." The court records show that prosecutors argued greed was the motive, as the brothers stood to inherit their parents' estate, which was not insignificant.

Despite the brutality of the crime, the brothers received growing support after Peacock’s docuseries Menéndez + Menudo: Boys Betrayed, in which a boy band member named Roy Rosselló accused the brothers' father, Jose Menendez, an RCA music executive, of sexually abusing him, Variety reported. That gave more credence to their decades-old claim that they murdered their parents because of the father's abuse.

The judge who resentenced them, Michael V. Jesic, made the decision after "a day of testimony by family members," who said the brothers are now rehabilitated, according to The Times.

“This was an absolutely horrific crime,” Jesic said, according to The Times, noting the support the brothers received.

“I’m not suggesting they should be released,” he said. “That’s not for me to decide.” But, he continued: “I do believe they have done enough over the last 35 years to get that chance.”

It's now up to California Gov. Gavin Newsom and the California parole board to decide whether the brothers will ever be released, The Times reported.

According to The AP, the judge sort of split the difference. That's because the attorney for Lyle and Erik Menendez, Mark Geragos, wanted their convictions reduced to manslaughter so they would be immediately freed, but the judge did not do that.

Now You Can Airbnb a Spa Day, a Private Chef, and More

Airbnb is making its most ambitious move since redefining the travel industry in 2007—this time aiming squarely at the full-service hotel experience. In its 2025 summer release, the company launched Airbnb Services and Airbnb Experiences, along with a redesigned app that allows users to book homes, local experiences, and professional services all in one place.

“Now you can Airbnb more than an Airbnb,” said co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky. “We’re giving you the best of both worlds—amazing homes with services that make them even more special.”

The new Airbnb Services offering delivers hotel-style perks directly to your rental. That includes everything from in-home massages, chef-prepared meals, and personal training to blowouts, facials, and professional photography. Services are now available in 260 cities, and hosts must be licensed, verified, and experienced with many boasting backgrounds in Michelin-starred kitchens or elite spas.

Airbnb Experiences, meanwhile, has been overhauled to include guided adventures hosted by locals, from ramen-making with renowned chefs to exploring Notre Dame’s restoration with its architects. The new "Airbnb Originals" adds celebrity-led options, like throwing a football with Patrick Mahomes or styling sessions with Hollywood consultants.

The revamped Airbnb app supports it all with smart trip planning. After booking a stay, the app offers personalized recommendations, an itinerary view, and real-time updates on local experiences and services nearby. It also allows for group messaging and seamless service payments—all wrapped in a sleeker, more intuitive interface.

While hotels have long had the edge when it comes to amenities, Airbnb’s latest pivot is a direct challenge to that model. By combining the flexibility and charm of home rentals with premium services and curated experiences, Airbnb is blurring the lines between short-term rental and full-scale hospitality providers.

The updates appear aimed at appealing to travelers seeking both authenticity and convenience, positioning Airbnb more directly against traditional hospitality providers.

Alligator From Beloved Adam Sandler Comedy Dead At 80

Morris, a 640-pound American alligator that chomped his way into Hollywood fame, has died at the age of 80 plus at the Colorado Gator Farm in southern Colorado. The legendary reptile, who once shared screen time with Adam Sandler and Steve Irwin, passed away last week of apparent old age.

Jay Young, owner of the Colorado Gator Farm, announced Morris’s passing in a heartfelt video on Facebook. Sitting by the pool of Morris’s enclosure, Young gently stroked the gator’s massive head as he paid tribute to the animal he’d cared for over decades.

“He started acting strange a week ago. He wasn't looking at us and wasn't taking food,” said Young in the emotional clip. “I know it’s weird to some people that we get so attached to an alligator. But we love all our animals—just like cats and dogs.”

Morris wasn't just any alligator. He was a true Hollywood heavyweight. His most famous role? A scene-stealing cameo in Happy Gilmore (1996). But his filmography runs deep: Alligator, Alligator II, Interview with the Vampire, Dr. Doolittle 2, Eraser, and Blues Brothers 2000, to name a few. He also popped up on TV in Coach, Night Court, and even The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where he appeared alongside the late Steve Irwin.

According to Young, Morris worked in film and television from 1975 until 2006, when he “retired” to the sanctuary in Colorado. There, he lived out his final years in relative peace and was a top draw for visitors.

"It's the worst part of what we do, losing animals," Young said. "But this isn't as tragic as some of the things we've experienced in the past. He had a happy time here, and he died of old age, and it's not as tragic as some of the family members we've lost here. But that's part of life. Everything that lives must die."

In true showman fashion, Morris’s story doesn’t end there. The farm shared a video on Instagram to show just how massive he really was and announced that he’ll be preserved through taxidermy, so he can continue to spook children for years to come. “It’s what he would have wanted,” the post read. Just like a legendary Hollywood star, Morris has secured his place in the spotlight and will continue to be showcased as the legend he is.

Pope Leo XIV Enters His Instagram Era With Message of Peace

In a move that bridges centuries of tradition with the digital age, Pope Leo XIV is officially keeping the papacy online. According to a press release from the Vatican's Dicastery for Communication, the new pontiff will maintain an active presence on social media through the official papal accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

His first Instagram post featured striking images from his early days as pope, paired with a message pulled from his inaugural Urbi et Orbi blessing after his election on May 8 and shared a message of peace:

“Peace be with you all! This is the first greeting spoken by the Risen Christ, the Good Shepherd... I would like this greeting of peace to resound in your hearts, in your families, and among all people.”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Pope Leo XIV (@pontifex)

In the press release, the Dicastery for Communication noted that the official @Pontifex account on X counts a total of 52 million followers across nine languages. However, his new Instagram account, @pontifex will now serve as the sole official papal presence on the platform.

Meanwhile, the Vatican announced that Pope Francis’ social media content will be preserved: his Instagram account, @Franciscus will remain online as a digital archive, while his X posts will be stored in a dedicated section of the Vatican’s official website.

Pope Francis was no stranger to the digital realm, he shared over 50,000 posts during his time, including daily reflections, photos from global events, and messages championing peace, social justice, and environmental care. In 2020 alone, his posts racked up over 27 billion views.

With Pope Leo XIV picking up the digital mantle, it’s clear: in the modern papacy, even faith has a feed.

In-N-Out Burger Announces Color Change to Key Drinks

A beloved burger chain announced a color change to key drinks on its menu.

It's all part of brands' efforts to offer healthier products to their customers. In-N-Out Burger is making changes to its Pink Lemonade and Strawberry Syrup.

The chain is even changing its ketchup packets.

"You may have noticed a slight color change in In-N-Out's signature Pink Lemonade and Strawberry Syrup. This results from a quality improvement. Companywide, In-N-Out has upgraded both Pink Lemonade and Strawberry Syrup to use natural food coloring instead of artificial coloring," the chain wrote on X on May 12, 2025.

"Additionally, over the next few months, In-N-Out will introduce an improved ketchup made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup," the company wrote.

Over the next few months, you will see upgraded Heinz ketchup packets called 'Simply Heinz,' made with real sugar. These packets will have a red and white design without In-N-Out branding.

— ᶠᵃⁿ In-N-Out Burger (@innoutburger_) May 13, 2025

As for ketchup packets, the ingredients will change.

"Over the next few months, you will see upgraded Heinz ketchup packets called 'Simply Heinz,' made with real sugar. These packets will have a red and white design without In-N-Out branding," according to In-N-Out Burger.

Some fans were critical in the comment thread, saying that In-N-Out Burger should have made the change sooner before the U.S. government started raising concerns about chemicals in food.

"So what stopped you from doing this for the betterment of your customers?" wrote one person.

But other people applauded the chain. "Thank you! I can’t eat there because I’m on the wrong side of the country but a healthier America is a better America for all of us!!" wrote another person. Other fans urged the company to consider other changes to its food items.
