In-N-Out Burger Announces Color Change to Key Drinks
A beloved burger chain announced a color change to key drinks on its menu.
It's all part of brands' efforts to offer healthier products to their customers. In-N-Out Burger is making changes to its Pink Lemonade and Strawberry Syrup.
The chain is even changing its ketchup packets.
"You may have noticed a slight color change in In-N-Out's signature Pink Lemonade and Strawberry Syrup. This results from a quality improvement. Companywide, In-N-Out has upgraded both Pink Lemonade and Strawberry Syrup to use natural food coloring instead of artificial coloring," the chain wrote on X on May 12, 2025.
"Additionally, over the next few months, In-N-Out will introduce an improved ketchup made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup," the company wrote.
Over the next few months, you will see upgraded Heinz ketchup packets called 'Simply Heinz,' made with real sugar. These packets will have a red and white design without In-N-Out branding.

As for ketchup packets, the ingredients will change.
"Over the next few months, you will see upgraded Heinz ketchup packets called 'Simply Heinz,' made with real sugar. These packets will have a red and white design without In-N-Out branding," according to In-N-Out Burger.
Some fans were critical in the comment thread, saying that In-N-Out Burger should have made the change sooner before the U.S. government started raising concerns about chemicals in food.
"So what stopped you from doing this for the betterment of your customers?" wrote one person.
But other people applauded the chain. "Thank you! I can’t eat there because I’m on the wrong side of the country but a healthier America is a better America for all of us!!" wrote another person. Other fans urged the company to consider other changes to its food items.
