Middle Eastern Iced Coffee with Homemade Cardamom Vanilla Syrup and Rosewater
Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by the J.M. Smucker company. All opinions and the yummy recipe are my own.
I wake up, go upstairs to feed the cats and then make my first iced coffee of the day. I almost always add vanilla nondairy milk and sometimes I add a homemade syrup or two to create a drink you can’t even get outside of my own kitchen.
Today, I have a new and exciting coffee drink for you – a Middle Eastern Iced Coffee. It’s inspired by a coffee on the menu at Cocoa and Cinnamon in...

Make Cold Brew Coffee in Your Own French Press

Today’s post is a cold brew coffee concentrate recipe. It makes me crazy that you can buy it premade in the store because it’s very expensive. Once I show you how to make coffee concentrate with a French Press you’ll never buy premade again. You can buy a cold brew coffee maker on Amazon, but all of them cost more than the French Press that’s already in your cabinet. No French Press? The direction tell you how to make cold brew coffee in a mason jar too!

Step by Step Cold Brew Coffee from The Easy Vegan Cookbook

Today’s post is a step by step on how to make cold brew coffee concentrate, which is the base for almost all of my coffee drinks. It makes me a little crazy that you can buy it premade in the store because it’s very expensive. At Starbucks, they even sell a kit where you can make 2 batches and then buy another kit for the next one.
Cold brew coffee is ridiculously simple to make. All you need is a French Press or a mason jar and a fine mesh strainer
. My recipe is from my...

Vegan Strawberry Shortcake with Aquafaba!
I can’t leave well enough alone. I love to tinker with recipes and it drives Cheryl crazy. She would love to have a plain dinner or at least the same pasta sauce I made the week before. It’s just my nature to change things up each time. That’s why I made a Lavender Gin Strawberry Shortcake instead of the plain one I grew up on.
I have loved strawberries my whole life and I would eat them a punt at a time as a child. I still look forward to strawberry season every year. They are as addictive...

Nancie McDermott’s Strawberry Shrub
It’s finally strawberry season and I have a recipe that you can use fresh strawberries if you’re in my part of the world or frozen ones if yours aren’t quite ready yet.
A shrub is an old-fashioned way of preserving fruit flavors and is an amazing mocktail or cocktail. You heat apple cider vinegar and then infuse the strawberries in it for 1 to 2 days. Then you strain the liquid into a saucepan and heat with your sweetener. Nancy calls for sugar, but you could use the sweetener of your choice...

Vanilla Gluten-free Vegan Pizzelles Made with Teff Flour!
There’s something fun about these thin, crispy cookies that look as delightful as they taste. When The Teff Company asked me to create a vegan gluten-free pizzelle, I ordered a pizzelle maker and never looked back.
Please note that this post is sponsored by The Teff Company, the makers of Maskal Teff™ products. If you can’t find them in your local store you can order Maskal Teff™ products
on Amazon.
I did try a batch of these without oil and they worked pretty well. You may need to use a lit...
