Sexy hot FL.E.S.H. is back on WIP it Up Wednesday with a heat inducing snippet #Wipitup

So when I left Flame and Pete were just about to get it on and then I had blog issues and my feedburner link to Triberr broke and ...and... but now I'm back.

WHEW!

Ok - so on with the good stuff

From FL.E.S.H. -

She braced herself on the bed, leaned closer, grabbed his hips for support, and covered his swollen penis with kisses. His breath quickened. His cock twitched. Changing what she did, she traced his shaft with teasing bites and long licks from bottom to top. When he was completely wet, she slipped the tip into her mouth. Holding him there, she reached around and grazed his bare ass with the tips of her fingers. His body quivered.Making a circle around him with her finger and thumb, she pressed her lips on her fingers and lowered her mouth as far as she could, then continued the movement with her hand. Pulling her hand back up to her lips, she slid back to his tip, and then lowering her head and hand once again. Her fingers reached between his legs and stroked his testicles. "Like that?""Mm-hmm. That feels good."She glanced up, met his gaze, and smiled.Using a light touch all the way through her coordinated stroke, she kept the pressure steady. His fingers wrapped in her hair as he pulled her closer, trying to get deeper into her.Her speed and pressure increased as the rest of her fingers encircled his engorged shaft and mimicked the efforts of her lips. His hips bucked into her. His breaths came in short sharp pants and the look on his face said he was focused on the delicious delights her mouth and hand provided him.Her left hand alternated from clawing his ass to caressing and squeezing his testicles. With a groan of frustration, his knees buckled. "Stop." She dragged her lips up the length of his cock, slipping off and then kissing the tip. She could taste he was near his climax.Pete tucked his hands under her armpits and tossed her backward onto the bed. The mattress shook as he climbed on. He knelt and rested on his heels, taking a moment to admire her naked body. "You are beautiful." His hands rubbed her nipples, enticing them to swell. He lowered his head and slipped the closest one into his mouth. His tongue swirled around it, making it wet and hard. The touch of his tongue on her breast made her clit throb. A groan was all the response she could muster.

I only said a snippet - maybe more next week - maybe ;-)

Spotlight on 2 books from Jane Godman - Kiss from a Highlander and Taming his Rebel Lady

Kiss from a Highlander (The Georgian Rebel Series~Book One)Taming His Rebel Lady (The Georgian Rebel Series~Book Two)by Jane Godman   About Kiss for a Highlander: A passion that burns away centuries of hate…
Stranded in the heart of England after Bonnie Prince Charlie’s hasty retreat, highlander Fraser Lachlan has sworn to stay by his injured friend’s side. But when a kindly English family takes Jack in to be cared for by the governess and healer at their Derbyshire estate, Fraser can only watch helplessly. It’s just a matter of time before Jack is turned over to the Crown as a traitor, but Fraser’s attempt to rescue his friend is met with the blunt end of a candlestick.Martha Wantage wears every reason she hates the Scots on her body—in the scars from a violent, fiery attack that killed her family. Now she has not only one unconscious Jacobite rebel at her mercy, but two. And she can’t resist cursing her enemy with the “kiss of hate”.That kiss unleashes a storm of passion that rages quickly out of control. But with the legacy of Martha’s scars weighing heavy on her mind, and Fraser’s duty calling him to battle at Culloden, it may be too late to explore whether theirs is a desire born of hate…or love.Warning: Contains a very sexy, masterful highlander and a demure, but defiant, governess who discovers the hard—very hard—way exactly what a Scotsman keeps under his kilt.Excerpt: A Kiss for a Highlander

Half an hour later, Martha hardly recognized the tall, powerfully built man who strode into her kitchen through the open back door. It was only the bandage on his head and his badly cut hair that alerted her to his identity. Somehow, the severely cut breeches, shirt and jerkin Tom had lent him only accentuated the breadth of Fraser’s shoulders and the strong muscles of his thighs. It was plain from his expression, however, that he did not approve of his new attire.

He plucked at the cloth of his breeches with distaste. “I look like a cursed lowlander. ’Tis unmanly and a reproach to my heritage for me to appear in public without my sporran, kilt and dirk.”

Privately deciding that Fraser had far too much manliness for any garment, Martha disregarded this comment. “Sit here while I cut your hair and shave you,” she said, indicating a seat at the kitchen table.

He regarded her with suspicion. “Must I present my throat to you while you’ve a blade in your hand, wee crabbit one?”

“Yes, and I do wish you’d stop calling me that. I lived in Northumberland until ten years ago. I know exactly what it means.”

“Aye, ill-tempered, unpleasant and all-round disagreeable.” He grinned, a gleam of genuine humour in his eyes. “It suits you just fine.”

Ignoring the look she threw at him, he took a seat and, leaning his elbows on the table, made no further comment while she removed his bandages and trimmed his hair into a semblance of order. The red-gold curls clustered close into the nape of his neck and over his ears, and Martha concentrated on her task rather than his proximity. He smelled of masculinity. It was a warm, earthy, musky scent that was out of place in her kitchen. Whenever she moved into the line of his vision, she was conscious of his unwavering stare on her face.

“Northumberland was once a part of the kingdom of Scotland,” Fraser said. Martha gritted her teeth and did not respond. “Aye, and is it not true that the Northumbrians are known for their wild and revolutionary ways? Before the stabilising influence of a Scottish king on the English throne, was it not known as the most lawless county in the land?”

“At least we know who our enemies are, unlike the highland clansmen who seem determined to annihilate each other,” she said.

His jaw tensed at that, and he lapsed into silence so that the only sound for several minutes was the click of Martha’s scissor blades.

“How old are you?” he asked. The question was so unexpected that the scissors made a jumpy arc that came perilously close to his ear before Martha got them back under control.

“That has nothing to do with you,” she said in her best teacher’s voice. He waited, and eventually she capitulated. After all, what did it matter? “I am six and twenty.”

“Past the marriageable age, ’tis true, but not quite at your last prayers. Why is it that you try so hard to appear older?”

That was going too far. No-one had ever spoken to her that way before. Ignoring the peculiar lump his words brought to her throat, she attempted to change the subject. “Where are your other clothes?”

“Why?” He leaned back slightly, watching her now that she had finished her task.

“They will give your identity away. I don’t want them to be discovered.”

A savage fire blazed gold in the hazel depths of his eyes. “That’s right. They are my identity. I’ll not let you dispose of the only things I have left of my name, my pride and my honour.”

“I was going to offer to wash them and store them safely until you are able to wear them again,” Martha said placidly. “Believe it or not, I do know the significance of the kilt and the tartan to your countrymen.”

The fierce look faded slightly. “You grew up on Lord Jack’s estate, at St. Anton?”

“Yes, on the northern part of the estate, close to Bamburgh. My father had land there and farmed cattle.” She didn’t need to explain what that meant. Although Fraser was a highlander and, therefore, hailed from an area far to the north of the border between England and Scotland, he would know and understand the practice of reiving. Conflict between the kingdoms of England and Scotland was as ancient as the lands themselves, and cross-border conflict was bloody, brutal and relentless. Families living on either side of Hadrian’s Wall existed in the certain knowledge that bloodshed, treachery and grief would come their way. The border traditions, passed down through generations, did not die out when King James I, great-great-grandfather of Bonnie Prince Charlie, to whom Fraser had sworn allegiance, united the two crowns. Reiving—raiding for cattle, sheep and anything else that could be transported—was a way of life that continued unabated. But theft was the lesser evil of reiving. Murder, rape and kidnap were all part of daily life on the border.

“Tell me about the reivers who hurt you.” His voice held more compassion than she would have imagined possible. What had wrought this odd change in his approach? Never trust a Scotsman. Her father’s words rang in her ears. It was sound advice, and yet Fraser seemed genuinely interested. He had a knack of triggering a chain of warring emotions in her breast. It was most unnerving.

Martha bent her head, unable to speak. Instead of trying, she busied herself by picking up the knife in preparation for shaving him, but her hand shook so hard that the blade was a silver blur. Fraser watched her thoughtfully, then reached out and clasped her wrist. Carefully, he removed the knife from her grasp.

“On second thoughts, perhaps it might be best if I do that myself?”

TamiTamingHisRebelLady300ng His Rebel Lady:  Can the heat of passion burn too bright?

In the six months since the Jacobites met defeat at Culloden, the English have ruthlessly routed the remaining rebels. Now Sir Edwin Roxburgh rides to claim Cameron House, his reward for his loyalty to the king.
His welcome comes at the point of a sword. It’s only after a fierce fight that Edwin discovers that underneath the banned tartan, the “boy” he’s just wounded is none other than the lady of the house.
If the crown thinks Lady Iona Cameron will allow an English soldier to turn her out of her own home, the crown is sadly mistaken. She never thought her desperate attempt to defy authority would send her to a traitor’s death—unless she agrees to marry Roxburgh.
Edwin quickly realizes he has his hands full trying to control the fiery, rebellious widow—and trying to control his own desire to fill his arms with her beautiful body. But he has a dark past that makes love not only impossible, but dangerous—especially if Iona manages to slip past his guard.

Warning: Contains a rebellious heroine with a secret identity, and a hero with a secret past who’s determined to tame her wild ways. Be warned: his methods are erotically unusual.

Excerpt: Taming His Rebel Lady

He had been fighting for his life for the last ten minutes, yet in spite of this Edwin Roxburgh was still grudgingly able to admire the skill of his opponent. It was rare for him to find someone whose dexterity and determination matched his own. Now, after possibly the fiercest sword fight of his life, Edwin could finally sense his opponent weakening. Unable to see clearly in the darkness, he had assumed that his opponent was only a boy since he was a slender youth, whose head barely reached Edwin’s shoulder. It made this unprovoked attack all the more surprising.

Presumably the lad’s motive was robbery. Although they were far from the main highways and a lone rider with no luggage could hardly be expected to yield any great gain. Heaven help me, Edwin thought as he swung his sword in response to a forward thrust. I have been accosted by a robber who is stupid enough not to know that and also seems hell-bent on murdering me.

“Have done with this foolishness, lad.” The words came out between panting breaths. “Throw down your weapon. I’ve no wish to kill you.”

The response was a desperate lunge. His assailant’s sword point came within a whisper of Edwin’s chest, and he swore furiously. It was time to end this. The situation was not helped by the treacherous terrain on which they fought.

Earlier that day, Edwin had led his men through the dramatic valley of Glencoe in daylight. As darkness descended, he had left the soldiers to make camp, while he rode on ahead. The increasingly steeper ground had forced him to dismount, and he had been leading his horse up a craggy ridge of rocks known as the Devil’s Staircase when, from nowhere, a figure had hurled itself upon him from above. Cold steel had been pressed to his throat before he had been able to use the advantage of his superior size to throw his attacker to one side and draw his sword. Instead of running off, as he had expected, the boy had flung his dagger aside, and moonlight had glinted on his narrow sword as he took up a fencer’s stance. Edwin had gained a brief impression of burning hatred and anger before the lad had come at him in a whirl of movement.

Now, in a final, determined attempt to bring the encounter to an end before it resulted in either of them losing their lives, Edwin used his greater strength to drive his opponent back against the rocks. As the boy, sensing defeat, thrust wildly, Edwin feinted, and brought his sword arm up and across the boy’s right side.

The blade went neatly through the lad’s shirt and sliced across the flesh of his shoulder, piercing deep into his upper arm. It was a classic wound, intended to incapacitate, but not kill, an opponent. The lad’s blade went spinning out of his now-useless right hand, and with a hoarse cry of pain, he pitched face forward into Edwin’s arms.

Edwin dropped his sword and reached out instinctively to catch the unconscious form that fell toward him and to prevent his assailant from tumbling off the rocky ridge into oblivion. As he did, his outstretched hand caught the knitted bonnet on the lad’s head. To his horror, as the hat was swept away by his grasping fingers, a mass of soft, fragrant and unmistakably feminine curls tumbled free. Realisation hit him like a punch in the gut. His would-be murderer was not a lad at all. The person he had been fighting, and upon whom he had just inflicted a devastating stab wound, was a woman.

Blood, hot and sticky, covered his hands as he swung the unconscious girl up into his arms, carrying her to the edge of the ridge where the moonlight shone brighter. Ripping open the front of her linen shirt, he exposed the ugly wound his blade had made. A quick scan of her body also confirmed that which had, until now, seemed impossible. The flesh of her upper body gleamed pale in the silvery moonlight. Her unbound breasts and narrow waist left him with no further doubt about her gender. The outlawed tartan trews of the clansman encased her long, slim legs, and her discarded blue bonnet bore the Jacobite white cockade. Whoever she was, this girl had been dicing with death even before she had drawn her sword and challenged him.

Cursing under his breath, Edwin turned to look for his horse. The well-trained animal was waiting patiently exactly where he had been walking it when the girl had launched her assault. There was water and cloth in his saddlebags. He would tend to her injuries and then deal with the mystery of who she was. Rising to his feet, he went over to the horse to collect the items he needed.

When he returned the girl had gone.

Excerpt One:

She stepped off the elevator and scanned the outer office area to be sure she was alone. Seeing no one, she slipped on a pair of latex gloves and replaced the stolen key on the ring in Peg’s desk. Her key copy clutched in her hand, she stared at Victor’s office door. There was still time to abort her plan and leave.

Faith hesitated. She’d come this far, and something had to be done or Victor would never be brought to justice. Hands-off research wasn’t yielding any useful information. Logic demanded a bolder approach. She’d just have to get in and out as quickly as possible.

Sucking in her breath, she unlocked the door, slipped inside Victor’s inner sanctum, and pulled the door shut behind her by the cold metal handle. Darkness and a heavy scent of stale cigar smoke blanketed the room. The only sound was air rushing in and out of her chest.

She stood frozen for a second, staring through the huge window at the collage of eerie building shadows, lonely lighted windows, and gaudy flashing signs on the West Palm Beach skyline, trying to catch her breath. She was in, but the door behind her was the only exit.

Shivering and no longer able to endure the darkness, she moistened her lips and flipped on the same light switches she’d watched Peg choose. The surface of the huge desk and the wall of windows reflected the bright overhead lights and hit her like a spotlight aimed at her eyes. Feeling exposed and vulnerable, she flattened her hand over her abdomen to calm the rolling waves of nausea. Get a grip!

She squared her shoulders and crossed the room. Blood roared in her ears, but her footsteps were silent on the thick carpet. She read the label on a file folder resting in one corner of the desk. Fiscal Projections – 2011 Winter Season.

Ignoring the folder concerned with the future, she flipped back through the recent pages of an appointment calendar. A page from two weeks ago had the notation: Gardener’s Emporium Acquisition Results – Kent and Ben.

She pictured Kent, handsome and composed, sitting in this room meeting with Victor. He hadn’t mentioned anything about a meeting at dinner. Maybe if she’d pressed him harder, she could have found out some useful details.

Faith flipped backward through several more pages, unsure why she was here and what she was looking for. Some of the notes were in an almost illegible scrawl. Most, like the note about Kent, were in a neat, feminine looking cursive, but nothing on the calendar looked interesting or pertinent. She glanced over her shoulder at the closed outer door, caught her bottom lip between her teeth, and walked around the side of the desk.

She passed the trashcan and paused, studying the contents. She bent, removed a couple of the crumpled sheets on the top, and smoothed them out enough to read the print.

Frustration piles onto Frustration - My Blog and Triberr

About 3 weeks ago now - my blog posts just up and stopped showing up in my Triberr stream.

I asked at the Bonfires for help - - reply - deadly silence. I noticed several others had asked for help - got the same reply. I commented - asking has anyone else noticed that no one is getting their questions answered.  One person even tried the  - I'm a paying member bit and still got no response.

I tweet Dino Dogan and Triberr asking for help.  No reply.

In the meantime - trying to make sure the problem wasn't from my end
 - I changed browsers - switched to Edge (ugh - but that's another story)
- no luck
- deleted Mozilla 40.0.3 and installed - 40.0.2 (there was a suspected issue with 40.0.3
- no luck
- switched to Chrome - no luck
- reconfigured laptop back to early Aug before problem started
- no luck

yes - I checked my RSS feed - I even deleted it and put it back.
- no luck

When I click on Check Feed - it tells me everything is fine - except the picture of my blog isn't the blog that is actually posted.

So in desperation and supreme Frustration - I Facebooked - Dino Dogan and Triberr - here is the message

Getting kind of frustrated with Triberr. I really like it when it works. But at the moment it's been 3 weeks and none of my blogs are appearing in the feed. It's not at my end. I've checked my RSS feed and it claims I'm connected. I've checked Mozzilla, I've switched browers etc. When I checked my RSS feed this morning - it read it had been checked an hour ago - yet it still had yesterday's blog showing. SInce there is no manual on how to use Triberr or how to search for help - because asking in Bonfires is useless - tell me how to fix the problem. You are letting a good platform slide. If there was something like Triberr out there - I'd be gone in a flash that's how annoyed I am.

You get 20 guess what the reply has been - yup - no reply!

Dino and Triberr - -you are shooting yourselves in the foot. You have a great thing with Triberr but your customer support sucks!!!!!!

Out Now - Liaison Liability, Book 3 of the Fantasies, Inc. series by Piper Denna

BLURB:
What happens at Fantasy Mountain stays at Fantasy Mountain…except when it doesn’t.
Trusting the “anonymity algorithms” Fantasy Mountain advertises, Emily treats herself to Blind Date weekend at the upscale sex resort. Her kinky side is a bit too risqué for the small community where she owns a business and holds a public office, so she’s taken herself completely out of the dating game. Still, a girl has needs, and the guy she hooks up with her first night there does an incredible job of meeting all those needs. Breaking the resort’s rules, they prolong their scheduled two-hour date and spend the entire weekend together.
As he leaves the resort, Jase realizes why Emily looks so familiar to him. He’s seen her business card—on his desk. Since he’s still recovering from a major emotional slapdown, he isn’t interested in a relationship, but he and Emily are smoking-hot in bed, and he’s not ready to tell her goodbye. A business meeting puts them in the same room, and Jase does everything he can think of to convince Emily they should get into bed again.
Going public with a new boyfriend now would be political suicide, especially since the guy is a client at her business. Still, Emily finds it impossible to resist seeing Jase on the downlow. Each tryst requires more trust, and puts everything she’s worked for at risk. The rush of sneaking around only serves to heighten her pleasure…and her appetite for more. But what will happen when their private play becomes public knowledge? BUY LINKS:

EXCERPT:
“Can I interest you in lunch, to celebrate our new business relationship?”Not a freaking chance in hell. “I’m afraid I’ll have to take a raincheck.” She forced her most professional voice. “I have three other appointments in the area today.”“I see.” He pulled an engraved pen from its stand on the corner of his desk. “No doubt with other managers you plan to woo.” As he signed the contract, he nearly pressed the ink pen through the paper. And on the second copy, the page actually tore.Uh. Was he pissed professionally because he wasn’t the only hotel account she intended to sign, or… She fought the urge to fan herself. The idea of Jase being jealous, caveman-y, made her want to climb into his desk chair with him. With effort, she made herself recall that night at the election debate when Ted Kettle brought up her sexcapades with an “employee” in front of all those interested voters. The things she’d done with Jase, and where she’d gone to do them, could never, ever go public.   RESORT AND TRAILER LINKS:Fantasy Mountain website: http://fantasymountain.webs.com/Fantasy Mountain trailer (PG-13, probably not for viewing at work): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abYhMUK4p58

Spotlight on Liza O'Connor's 3rd in the sci-fi series - Surviving Terranue

In Surviving Outbound, there are many references to Sara and Kyros climbing trees. Finally, in Surviving Terranue we discover why their ability to climb trees is vital. And in this blog, you’ll learn in advance.

Surviving TerranueByLiza O’Connor Blurb Leading a colony of frightened people on a new world is rarely easy. The human colonists of Terranue have as their leader, Tamsarandem, the only Soul-bond of Three that has ever existed. Unfortunately, some perceive the innate kindness in the shaman’s choice of leaders as a weakness, thus, challenges begin. From the moment they arrive on the planet, self-survival instincts take hold among the colonists, putting the survival of the colony at risk. To survive, they must act for the good of the colony rather themselves, even when their natural instincts tell them to do the opposite. First, they must befriend the dominant intelligent life form on the planet, long-haired blue cattle, only slightly smaller than the blue bull Tamsarandem brought with them. Second, they must find a way to survive three of the planet’s five seasons. Otherwise, they’ll be baked, frozen, and pummeled to death. Third, they must protect themselves from the giant bears, saber tooth lions, and T. rexes that roam their planet. But worst of all, deep within the planet, a seed of evil grows, waiting to devour every living creature on the surface.Every day in their new paradise is a challenge to survive. Despite all the advantages the Gods have provided, success is neither easy nor certain, and people are rarely as good as they need to be.
ExcerptThe sound of hooves came from behind. Blue turned and his heart nearly stopped. “Ky get Saran into the tree now!” “Mother, climb the tree!” Ky yelled as he ran toward her.Instead of climbing, Saran stared at the bulls running full speed toward them. As the beasts neared, they lowered their heads close to the ground so their horns skimmed the high, aqua-colored, grass. Ky gripped her waist and lifted her into the tree. She scrambled onto a limb then looked down. The face of a giant bull stared up at her. “Kyros, where are you!” she cried out.He answered from higher in the tree, “Stop teasing the bull and climb to me.” She grinned at the angry bull. “I’m going to move farther up now. Perhaps we can chat once you understand who we are.”Fury raged within Blue as he watched the lead bull attempt to snare Saran with his horn. He struggled to maintain his stately manner when someone he loved so dearly was in danger, but Shaman Troy and Blue had spent a great deal of time conversing during their long travel to Terranue. And he suspected much of the young shaman’s sage advice came from the Gods themselves. One warning was not to let his love for one be the destruction of his people, the Sargons, who had waited so long for his return. While every fiber of his body wanted to run to the tree and protect Saran, to kill the Sargons who attempted to harm her, his brain forced him to be reasonable. Ky had gotten her in the tree in time. She was safe.

Announcing - the latest Angel Sanderson story by Starfox Howl

Just Released - the latest Angel Sanderson story by Starfox Howl
It is now a decade after Angel Sanderson attended Stoddard Academy, where she had been dubbed “Avenging Angel” by a local television station news crew after her father had been attacked in a popular mall. A local hero, she still makes community service appearances, and hospital visits for sick children. That along with teaching ground school for ‘natural flyers’, her life is busy.
Officer Terrance Bryant, is hoping to make her life complete.
 Excerpt:
“What were you doing in Kansas,” Angel asked the men as they settled in the apartment’s kitchen area. “Especially you Chris, do you know what they do to hybrids in that state?”“Yeah, I do,” he replied, opening the metal collar he had around his neck and tossed it on to the counter. It clanged hollowly on the granite bartop. “Damn thing, not one of theirs thankfully.”Angel stared at it, shuddering at the implications of that simple device.“That’s why we went. Justice wants to take action to force that state to eliminate or at least tone down their more draconian laws aimed at MORFs survivors in general and hybrids in particular.” Chris continued. “We ran a simple operation to force them to go on camera explaining the whys and wherefores. Nothing dangerous.”“You are a featherhead! You were in intelligence, you had to have seen the reports. Those S.H.A.M.E people are total— nutcases. They make a Klan cross burning look like a polite ice cream social. Their trigger-happy militias do nothing but round up hybrids!” Angel stomped back and forth, torn between beating him for being utterly stupid or hugging him because he was home.“I was with him, Angel,” Terry rumbled quietly, catching her hand and slowly pulling her into his embrace. “I wasn’t going to let anything happen to your boyfriend.”She stood there and let the man hold her, the fear of never seeing him, or Chris, ever again fading only slightly.“And what about you? If you’d been found out, your head would be decorating a wall alongside his!” Angel rounded on him. “And— and—” Angel’s anger evaporated, “I couldn’t stand loosing either one of you.”“You didn’t wait very long after I was called in,” Terry accused, “to hook up with your boyfriend.”Terry’s flat statement burned more from its lack of volume rather than any lack of intensity. Angel tried to meet the man’s eyes, and failed.“How… how did you find out?” Angel asked, her voice trembling.“It was an op, Angel, long hours of nothing to do. Guys talk.”Terry waited a moment before continuing.“Nothing to say, Angel?” Terry stared at her, the hurt on his face, in his eyes almost too much to endure. The room was silent. In the kitchen, the refrigerator’s compressor kicked on.“Is that it then? He walks back in and I get tossed like yesterday’s trash?”“No!” Angel pleaded. “It wasn’t like that. It… just… happened Terry. I tried, I wanted to stop. But he kissed me and it all came back, school, the crash, graduation, our flight that night. And you’re not yesterday’s trash. I would never treat you that way!” Angel raised her head to look into the man’s eyes. “I can’t lose you, either of you.”“So I supposed your between the sheets reunion meant nothing?” Terry growled, is voice not only carrying his anger, but the deeply felt hurt as well.“Of course it meant something. But didn’t you hear me, Terry? I can’t lose you, or Chris. It would break me.”“Then what do you suggest?” Terry asked, pain filling his eyes.“Take turns?” Chris suggested.

Excerpt from Sinfully Ever After by Kenya Carlton:
Light snow fell to the earth. The flakes melted nearly as quickly as they landed. Drake welcomed the fresh air.
Yards from the house he tracked his wife’s scent near the horse’s paddock. Sienna stood under the full moon in front of the big animals that grazed by the fence. He worked his way past the medical tents to join her. Pretty and peaceful, it was no wonder she came to the pasture since dinner had been a complete and utter disaster.
Murphy and Barker joined them for a marvelous evening—along with their wives—for screaming, cursing, and his personal favorite…crying. Murphy’s spouse, Evie, called him every name and then some, while Alex, Barker’s wife, sat in her seat softly sobbing. Somewhere before dessert but after dinner Sienna snuck off.
“Dear wife,” he whispered in her ear before he placed his coat over her shoulders. “I will extend to you my sincerest apologies for not being forthright, but you must promise to never make me sit through anything similar to that again.” Confident he wouldn’t be turned into a toad when she gifted him with a laugh he pulled her back into his chest.
“They’re worried about their men.”
“I gave them a choice this afternoon.” Drake buried his nose into the careless curls constructed on top of her head. “It is out of my hands,” he murmured, submerging himself in her sweet scent.
“Evie and Alex are not angry at you per se. They’re mad at the amount of loyalty their husbands display toward you and their country.”
“I am not the villain here.” He sighed. “Am I yours?”
Sienna turned in his arms.
Slow drifting snow caught on her long eyelashes, illuminating her beautiful face. He captured her lips, and attacked her sweet mouth. Only for a moment, he thought to himself before he released her.
“Why did you stop, Captain?” She continued to tempt him with tiny kisses to the underside of his chin. “Afraid you’ll lose your mind?” The sum of her powers were too great for one person alone. Extreme anger or sadness could send her into a downward spiral. It had taken Sienna years to learn how to control the balance of her emotions. Otherwise, the sanctity of her sanity would be put into question. Drake remembered all too well the time she nearly went mad.
“I was falling in love with you,” she replied to the thoughts in his head.
Drake felt that she was wrong and it was the other way around. His raw need for his wife almost certainly sent her over the edge. Every time he got too close another spark of magic would course through his veins. He couldn’t imagine what a huge wave of her power would do to him.
“Tell me, Captain, are you afraid of the devil in me or is it the devil in you?” Sienna rose on the tips of her toes to kiss the side of his mouth. Weeks had gone by where he didn’t think he would ever see her again. Drake felt the soft palm of her hand caress his face, while she sweetly nipped at his neck. Regardless of his wants or needs, he understood what was at stake for the both of them.
