A Great Trilogy!
This is the perfect vessel for this trilogy, because the volumes really do need to be read in order, I suppose one could read the second or third as a standalone, but I really feel that the reader would be missing out on a LOT, and possible be confused at points. I myself wasn't sure what to expect when I was offered to read and review this trilogy. I wasn't familiar with the author but the blurb was intriguing so I took a chance. Wow! Am I ever glad that I took this chance! I really lucked out. I love the author's writing style and voice, her imagination is seriously amazing and the characters are real and very well developed. When I think of New Orleans I think of things like Mardi Gras, and Po' Boys, but also history and the mysterious. This was the perfect setting for this paranormal read. The story grabs you right from the start and keeps you enthralled as events unfold. It's exciting, intriguing, full of action, adventure, and is sexy as sin. You will want to make time for this reading because you will not want to put it down. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next. I definitely recommend. I was very generously given a complimentary copy of this trilogy for an honest review.
