D'ann Lindun's Falling Hard I love Cowboys enough said but Gage and Teagan were a great opposites attract storyline
Daryl Devore's book was fantastic also it was probably one of my favorites of the set. I was crying at the end thinking the worst but it turned out great.

A Sexy Moment from Capri's Fate on My Sexy Saturday #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSS115

A sexy moment between human - Capri - and son of a fate- Thall.

I reacted as if my flesh had been burned–-but in a good way. It wasn't pain. Curiously, maybe a little bizarrely, but there was definitely a hint of wicked in the touch. The same sensation scorched my left shin. Part of me needed to check if my flesh was flushed and blistered, but I couldn't move. I thought if I did, I would somehow break a spell. A bead of sweat dribbled down my neck. With a movement as soft as the brush of a feather, both hands travelled up my thighs and stopped at my hips.Ooh! With a swift sweep, he skimmed my body, engulfing me in his touch. My flesh tingled as goose bumps speckled my arms. The only sound I could hear was my breath as the pants escaped my lips. I opened my eyes. My body glowed from the heat.An icy snake-touch slithered from my hips to neck. As fast as the coolness touched my body, heat filled its place.A feverish fondle on my breast preceded a frosty streak across my neck, followed by a sizzling trail along my spine and an icy tap on my inner thigh. I couldn't focus. My heart pounded in my chest. My breath caught in my throat only to be snatched away by the next gasp.

What people are saying about Capri's Fate
5 ***** Wow
The story line is completely original. It was a story that left you angry, sad, plus hot and bothered. I loved this book!!! Very passionate and relatable
5 ***** smoking hot!
This was so entertaining. In the beginning when Capri and her best friend go to the convention, I was cracking up. This book is sexy and was a pleasure to read. I loved Thall, he is a Fates son and I found him to sweet and charming, then demanding and pushy. But I love that he saw Capri and how hard she was on herself and that she was overworked and tired. He was perfect for her.

Melissa Keir Guest posts on this week's Friday Snippets #FridaySnippets

5 things You Don’t Know About Chalkboard Romance1.       Back in the day (and some current) school districts required teachers to sign a morality clause. This would allow schools to fire teachers for simple things such as being seen out at the soda fountain with a single man yet without a chaperone.Honestly, I’d have been in trouble. I’ve always had more male friends than female ones.2.      I used to own a leather teddy that was only straps. It was the hardest outfit to put on or take off. I often had red chafe marks on my back and eventually got rid of it. So I had to write the horrible outfit into the story. Not a very sexy look either as you try to get in and out of it! Can you say turn off?3.      I originally went to college for nursing because I never wanted children but after my own children came along, I quickly changed my mind. I’ve taught every grade from preschool through middle school for the last twenty years.I don’t have a favorite grade level. There’s something about each that you fall in love with.4.      Chalkboards are pretty much non-exhistant in schools these days. White boards replaced chalkboards about fifteen years ago. The white boards use dry erase markers to write with. An eraser is still needed to get rid of the writing, however, simple water will do. The dry erase markers come in a variety of colors which makes writing more interesting. Now technology has taken over with the use of whiteboards and computer softwear will eliminate the dry-erase whiteboards over time. However, unlike my previous teachers, I don’t end up with chalk dust handprints on my pants, just blue marker ink on my hands and sometimes clothes.5.      I married the father of one of my students. We didn’t date until the school year was over. While my school didn’t have a problem with it, other teachers in the district did. I sat through a horrible confrontation one afternoon that almost had me quit teaching forever.
The story was fiction but our relationship does show that it happens…probably more than we think about. In fact, we’re still married after eight years and he’s my perfect man.

Chalkboard Romance by Melissa KeirWill a One Night Stand prove to be their disaster or their salvation?Lauren Walsh, a divorcee and elementary teacher, wants to feel sexy again after her ex tosses her aside for a younger woman. Her best friend encourages her to sign up for The Playhouse--a renowned dating agency. Forced to stay away from his young son, Mac Thomas lost the ability to trust. After the death of his wife, he returned to care for his son but his sister wants more for him. She sets him up with The Playhouse. Passion ignites but Mac’s a parent of one of Lauren’s students. A teacher and a parent dating could cost Lauren her job and her chance at happiness. Will Mac be able to convince the school and Lauren, that love is the most important thing?EXCERPT:She allowed her friend to drag her back toward the dressing rooms while poor Cherri followed with gigantic piles of clothing and undergarments. Thank goodness they were currently the only customers in the place, there was no way she would parade in front of others in what they will make her try on.After a while she had to admit the two women had a certain high-class taste for suggestive yet sensual clothing. Ten or more outfits later, her nervousness faded. She was starting to look at this as an adventure. Mel as well as Cherri voiced their opinions on different outfits. Some of their comments shocking her, while others had her laughing outright. Quite a few times, Melanie needed to rush in to help Lauren with the intricacies of some of the attire. One dress happened to be mostly straps which strategically covered only the naughty bits.“A no way on this one,” she called out, “I want my body to look sexy, not red from all the rubbing.” A variety of little black dresses slipped on and off her body in a matter of moments. Flaws with each of them. “I don’t know black isn’t the best color for me. It makes me look washed-out. Let’s try some other colors.”Cherri quickly selected more dresses, bustiers, thigh-high stockings, and barely-there thongs. Trying each on, Lauren felt like a live Barbie doll. They’d pick out the clothes. She’d try them on then parade for their approval. None of the outfits screamed the one yet.A blue jersey dress with a sweeping hemline caught Lauren’s gaze. “If I need help getting into these here, who’s going to help me get dressed in Chicago?” Lauren shouted. She pulled the blue dress over her head. The fabric hugged her figure. The uneven hemline made her legs look even longer. Hmm. This one isn’t bad. Lauren twirled in the mirror to get the full effect. She ran her hands over her waist then down her hips, feeling the silky fabric under her hands. The dress hugged her curves, making her feel sexy. She opened the curtain with a flourish.“Oh wow!”Lauren smiled at Melanie’s encouraging reaction.“Your date will be helping you out of that dress! Damn girl. You look so good. The neckline shows off your girls and the blue makes your eyes seem bigger, too. This dress is a keeper. This guy is definitely going to want to strip you and eat you alive when he sees you.”The pile of clothes to try on dwindled down to nothing while the pile of keepers grew exponentially. The black dresses lay discarded along with the strap number. The corsets and bustiers—also no-gos. Those outfits made her feel like a dominatrix—way outside her comfort zone. The black widow corset she’d tried on only made Cherri and Melanie laugh before suggesting they buy her a whip.

ExcerptBy Saturday morning, Fredrick had still not had time to visit the agency to advertise for a new domestic servant, and he was becoming heartily sick of bread and marmalade for breakfast – or, indeed, for any other meal that he could not reasonably eat out. It was also an irritation that he had to answer his own front door, and now he found himself greeted at his front step by a small grubby boy, in bare feet and ragged trousers, presenting him with a sealed envelope. He took the letter, tipped the boy a coin, and closed the door. The paper was expensive, that handwriting feminine. Inside, a note simply read:Two o’clock. My carriage will collect you. We cannot have gaps in your education as a gentleman. Please be an attentive student. Such classes are not inexpensive. And that was all. He assumed that it was from Miss Wolseley, and resigned himself to having to follow her cryptic instructions. In the meantime, he thought, he would finish his newspaper, and then visit the agency to and see if they could alleviate his domestic difficulties. And so, soon after lunchtime, after a satisfactory visit to the agency he found on returning to his house a familiar carriage parked outside.“My good man, am I late?”“Not at all Sir,” the gruff coachman tipped his hat. “I’m early. Take your time, Sir. We aren’t due til ‘alf past.”Fredrick re-emerged promptly at two o’clock, and climbed into the carriage, and sat back while it bounced and swerved through the city’s congested streets. Out of the window he saw gentrified houses, and, as the traffic moved slowly on the main roads, although the journey was barely two miles, it took over twenty minutes. He was relieved to find that they stopped in a fashionable West End street. He stepped down from the carriage, and the coachman indicated the door across the road.He crossed the street and rapped with the brass door knocker.Promptly, the door was opened, and a short, grey haired maid opened the door.“Fredrick Clifford,” he introduced himself. “I may be expected?”“Of course,” the maid curtseyed, with a hint of an accent, perhaps Italian or French, and stepped back to let him in.She took his coat, hat and cane, and then led him up the stairs, and into a well furnished sitting room. Tall windows let light flood into the room through lace curtains, the room was decked with a range of plushly upholstered chairs and settees, the largest of which, unusually, seemed to be the size of a single bed, but with ornate arms and a high back. The maid motioned him to take a seat in a plush chair by the window. She assured him, “I will say that you have arrived,” and then withdrew. As he waited, he looked around. The décor was, the more he considered the details, eccentric. Not only were the chairs unusually deeply upholstered, and the main sofa far wider than was needed, but there were numerous sturdy hooks, which looked like they might have hung chandeliers before gas lighting was installed, both in the ceiling and also, inexplicably in the skirting board at the foot of the wall. There was also a faint but spicy scent in the air, which he suspected might be incense – an unusual scent to encounter outside of a High or Catholic church. The door opened, and he turned to see a tall, graceful woman step into the room. She wore a red silk robe like a dressing gown, and around her neck an ornate necklace of black beads. Her brown hair hung loosely in flowing curls, cascading over her shoulders, and Fredrick’s eyes were drawn further down, to the sides of her firm breasts, indecently visible where the two sides of the robe met.“I’m so sorry!” he instinctively stood up and turned his back on her, to stare fixedly out of the window.“And why, Mr Clifford, are you sorry?” The voice was soft, the accent unmistakably continental.“I am… that is to say…” He could barely hear her approach, her bare feet on the carpet. “Perhaps I should return when you are properly dressed.”Her voice, now just over his shoulder, chided, “Mr Clifford, I was told that you were a gentleman.”“Well, yes!” he replied, indignantly.“And is it polite, when a lady enters a room, turn your back on her, and then proceed to criticise her choice of clothing.”“Well, I… there is a question of what is appropriate!”“Your lessons today,” she corrected him, “are to deal instead with the question of what is courteous – gentlemanly. You may be quite right about what is appropriate. But this afternoon, that is not our subject.”To Frederick, what was gentlemanly and what was appropriate seemed intimately connected. But Miss Wolseley had, presumably, some purpose in sending him here.“I apologise,” he conceded, turning to face her. It would be a shame to argue with such an attractive hostess. She smiled and inclined her head. “Then shall we start again?”Fredrick nodded. The woman turned and walked softly back to the door. He watched her robe sway against her legs, and was impressed by her grace. She left the room, and shut the door after herself. Fredrick sat down again, and waited. After a minute, the door opened again, and the woman returned.Fredrick stood up, and stepped forwards to greet her. “Fredrick Clifford, Madam. At your service.”She held out her hand, palm down, and he took it gently, and bowed slightly as he motioned to kiss it. He could not help, bending forward, but appreciate the gentle curve of her breasts, barely draped in thin red silk.“Signorina Maria Cenci,” she replied with a hint of a curtsey. “Charmed to meet you, Sir.”
She motioned him across to the wide sofa, strewn with cushions, and when he sat she took a seat next to him. Her robe fell open at the knee, revealing her slender, pale calf, and Fredrick made an effort not to look too intently. The door opened again, and the elderly maid entered, carrying a tray, which she set down on the table by the settee.“Milk and sugar, Mr Clifford?” Signorina Cenci asked.“Please, yes.”“Tell me Mr Clifford, she asked, as she poured the tea and the maid withdrew, “how should a gentleman behave towards a lady?”Fredrick considered for a moment, and then, taking the cup and saucer offered to him, replied: “A gentleman should always be respectful.”“And why is that important?” she asked. And when Fredrick had no ready answer, she clarified, “Why should a gentleman be respectful to a lady, and not, perhaps, to a tree or stone?”“Obviously, trees and stones don’t have feelings!”“So when you say respectful, you mean that you should be aware of the lady’s feelings?”“Quite so,” Fredrick said, taking another sip of tea and then setting the cup aside. “The male is the stronger sex. It is our duty to protect, both physically and mentally, the frailer gender. It shows us to be civilized human beings, and not savages.”“And so,” Signorina Cenci asked, “you see that, if a man turns his back on a woman as she enters the room, she might be upset. In which case, the gentlemanly response is to greet her courteously, perhaps?”“I see your point, Madam,” Fredrick acknowledged, not wanting to argue.“But is it also gentlemanly,” she teased, “as you bend down to kiss her hand, to stare so intently at her breasts?”Fredrick blushed, “I am so sorry, Madam, I didn’t intend to.”She laughed, and stood. “Then shall we try again?”“Of course, if you wish.”She left her tea cup on the table, walked to the door, turned, paused, and then returned towards the sofa.Fredrick stood, stepped forward, and took her hand when she offered it. This time, as he bent and motioned to kiss her hand, he kept his eyes fixed firmly on the floor.Again Signorina Cenci laughed.“Mr Clifford,” she smiled, placing her hand on his arm. “Do you really think that if a lady deliberately appears dressed like this – ” she raised her other hand to her neck and let her index finger slowly trace a line along the hem of the robe, down her chest, over the mound of her breast “ – that she does not want to be admired?”“Really, Madam, I protest,” Fredrick sighed, “You say that I should not stare, and now you say that I should stare. What am I to do?”“Mr Clifford, you are to be a gentleman. You are to behave with consideration for the lady’s feelings.” Seeing that he was still confused, she continued. “If you stare dumbly at my chest – “ she turned slightly, so that he could fully appreciate the silhouette of her breasts – “I might consider the stare to be aggressive, or I might worry that you are no longer capable of rational thought. You are still capable of thought, Sir?”He raised his eyes from the curve of her robe, to look her in the eye again. “Yes, of course.”“But if you ignore me entirely, I might think that I have failed to impress you, or that you consider me ugly. You do not consider me ugly, do you?”“No! Of course not!”“Then, Mr Clifford, please, stop trying to guess what the rules are. There is but one rule to being a gentleman. Consideration for the feelings of the other person. And so, consider my feelings, and act accordingly.”“Very well,” Fredrick acquiesced.“Then shall we try once more?”She walked back to the door, and again turned to face him. She paused for a moment. “Are you ready, Sir?”Fredrick nodded. She ran her finger down the front of her robe, and deliberately opened the gap at her chest a little further, so that the sides of both breasts were quite bare. “Are you certain?”Fredrick paused for just a second and then answered confidently: “Yes, Madam.”Signora Cenci walked across the room, her hips swaying, and held out her hand, palm down.
Fredrick took her hand. As he bowed and raised it towards his mouth, he let his eyes glance over her soft flesh, and at the lowest point of his bow he glanced up to look her in the eye. Then he looked back towards her hand as he stood, and looked her in the eye again, keeping a lingering hold of her hand before releasing her.“Mr Clifford!” she smiled, “Have you not been taught that it is too forward, even impertinent, to look a lady in the eye as you kiss her hand?”“Signora Cenci,” he countered, “From the way that you adjusted your gown, I understood that you wanted me to be forward, even impertinent.”“Bravo!” she clapped her hands three times and smiled. “Please sit, and explain to me your strategy.”As they both sat down, he on her right, she on his left, he explained. “I trust that you wanted,” he glanced again at the curve of her breast, “to be appreciated, but with discretion. And I gathered that you would not mind a little impertinence. When I first looked up at your eyes, you could have looked away, but you did not. And so I inferred that a little more impertinence might be in order before I released your hand.”“Perfect, Mr Clifford! You considered my feelings, and acted accordingly. One might almost say, appropriately?”Fredrick smiled, “Yes, I think that you have proved that point.”“Which is exactly why you are here,” she explained. She put her right hand behind her on the settee and turned her body towards him. “I am told that you are an intelligent, educated gentleman. But you have been taught to be a gentleman by following a set of rules. And now you find yourself in situations where the rules do not seem to work. Situations for which no rules have been written. Is this so?”Fredrick nodded, “Increasing so, it seems.”“And you are particularly unsure how to deal, in certain, unusual situations, with ladies?”“I understand how to make polite conversation,” he admitted, “but there there are things, I find, that I do not really understand.”“And that is why you have been sent to me,” Signora Cenci smiled. “Because if you are to be a gentleman in these situations, you will be more confident, yes?”“I suppose so, yes.”“And to be a gentleman you need only two things. You need to act with consideration or the other person. And you need to understand what the other person wants. You see?”“Theoretically, I suppose.”“At this moment, yes, quite theoretically. Because you do not know enough about what a woman wants, and so you cannot treat her…. appropriately. So we shall give you a basic understanding.”She looked at him, saying nothing more.He felt that he was expected to react in some way, but had no idea how.“Mr Clifford,” she flicked her long hair over her shoulder, and then lowered her hand to her knee, where she parted her robe a little. “You are alone with a woman who has chosen to greet you in a quite indecorous outfit – so indecorous, that she has not even troubled to put on underwear, but instead has nothing between you and her but a single layer of very soft, very thin silk. And now she has sat mere inches from you, turned her body towards you, and is now waiting for you. Can you not imagine a gentlemanly reaction?”He sat, confused, uncertain.“To make this simple,” Signora Cenci coaxed, “you have two options. If you are not sure what I want, then you can construct some witty, sensitive line of conversation to draw me into disclosing my desires. Or you can take action, in such a way that my response will tell you more of what I want…. Do you feel able to engage in witty conversations at this moment?”He shook his head, mutely.“Then Mr Clifford, take action!”

A Proper way to say Good Mornng - from FL.E.S.H. on Wip It Up Wednesday #Wipitup

Next week is the last snippet from Flame and Pete. Then I'm moving on to something else.

Scene set - continuation of last week - Pete said he had to leave but then his resolve broke :-)

Pete dropped the towel and sat next to her on the bed. "I think it's time that I give you a proper good morning.""I think I love the sound of that." Flame giggled. "Back in two secs." She bolted across the room. A moment later she jumped back onto the bed and squirmed her perfect ass against the sheets. He leaned forward. His lips meeting hers, softly at first, but passion bubbled, and their tongues danced about each other. A jolt hit his cock as she raked her teeth across his bottom lip. He kneaded her flesh. Her erect nipples peaked out from between his fingers. When he tickled his fingertips across her nipple, she closed her eyes and sighed."Open your eyes. Why do women always hide? Watch me. Watch how you respond. You're so hot. Your nipples react so—" He interrupted himself by wrapping his lips around her right rosy bud and caressing it with his tongue. "See. Look how firm and… perky it is."Flame giggled. He shook his head. "Yes, I said perky. I don't think I've ever used that word before, but it describes your nipples perfectly." He leaned over and brushed a kiss across her left bud. It quivered. His lips parted. He licked her pink flesh and then slipped her nipple between his teeth, closing his lips around it.Flame's back arched, pressing her breast into his face. Her breaths lengthened to long, deep, contented sighs. While he lost himself in the pleasure of her breasts, Peyton stroked her dark brown patch of hair. He tapped the insides of her thighs, asking her to open her legs. Spreading her nether lips, he slid his finger from her pussy to her clit. He caressed the sides and circled her nub.Flame tensed. Moans rumbled in her throat. Peyton slipped a finger into her wetness and stroked her. He adjusted his position so his finger faced upward, tickling the inside of her while his thumb made random circles on top of her clit. She gripped the sheets, pulled her knees up, and splayed them to the sides, giving him more room to maneuver. He increased his speed and was rewarded with a moan and a first spasm. Her muscles clenched on his fingers. She gasped as her whole body tensed. He didn't stop. He kept a steady pace, helping her revel in her pleasure. With a shudder, she relaxed. Placing a gentle kiss on her cheek, he whispered, "That's the proper way to say good morning."

Now Released Julia Kent's Shopping for a CEO

Happy Release! Shopping for a CEO (Shopping for a Billionaire series Book 7) by Julia Kent now available

Blurb
I’m thrilled to be the maid of honor in my friend’s wedding, but the best man, Andrew McCormick, is a chauvinistic pig with a God complex.
And I can’t stop kissing him in closets.
(Don’t ask.)
He’s the brother of the groom and the CEO of my biggest mystery shopping account, but suddenly he’s refusing to be in the wedding. He won’t talk about it. Won’t see reason.
He’s such a man.
And he still won’t stop kissing me in random closets.
(Thank goodness.)
I’m a fixer. That’s what I do. I can fix anything if given the chance. But when the game is fixed there’s only so much I can do.
The ball’s in his court now.
Game on.
* * *Shopping for a CEO is the 7th book in the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shopping series. When CEO Andrew McCormick and mystery shopper Amanda Warrick find themselves in the unlikely position as maid of honor and best man in the Boston society wedding of the year, an undeniable attraction and dual stubborn streaks add fuel to the fire in this romantic comedy from Julia Kent.

Excerpt
“Why did you kiss me the first time? That day when I barged into your office?”He nods, eyes looking at everything and nothing, finally settling on my face. “Because you were so passionate about protecting Shannon. Because you were adorable and irate and you had this energy I wanted to taste.”I’m holding my breath. I thought we would spend this first date doing the awkward getting-to-know you dance. Andrew’s gone right to the point. Laser focus.Just like a CEO.“Taste?”“Yes. I know what I want. I don’t equivocate. I decide and act. I compartmentalize. I issue orders and execute strategy. You came in that day and started ordering me around and it was cute and exciting and inspiring. Oddly sensual. And when you kissed me -- ”“_You_ kissed _me_!”“And when _we_ kissed,” he says, eyebrows raised, as if settling this point once and for all, “I got something far more forbidden than I realized I was getting when I went for that simple taste of you.”Forbidden?“What’s that?”He studies me, as if sizing me up, trying to determine whether he should tell me what’s next. Or not. Finally, his face changes through a series of three or four emotions, most of them involving some variation of deliberation. And then:“You didn’t fit in a box.”“I fit in a closet.”He doesn’t laugh.“You intrigued me.”“Not enough to call me after that kiss, though.”He shakes his head. My heart plummets.“No, Amanda. The opposite. You intrigued me too much.”I get the sense that the word ‘intrigued’ means something else.“You mean I scared you.”His eyes flash with emotion I can’t read.“Yes.”Men like Andrew McCormick don’t do this. They don’t lay their emotions out on the table like this. Why is he doing this?“Then why did you kiss me again? And again. And again again -- ”“I don’t know.”“C’mon.” The driver takes us onto the Mass Pike, lights flying by like spaceships. Like little orbs shooting past us, filled with people oblivious to the quantum shift taking place inside this tiny space. “You always know. You’re a CEO. You compartmentalize. You execute. You decide. You act. You can’t tell me that the great wunderkind Andrew Mc --”He’s on me before I can take an inbreath to continue speaking, his body so big and bold, so impulsive and unrelenting. The limo becomes its own dimension, his hands seeking to hold all of me as we tumble into some new plane of awareness that doesn’t factor into any life we’ve known until this moment. His mouth finds mine, hands under my suit jacket, palm cupping the lines of my breasts, my waist, my hips, and he’s tasting me again, this time with an urgent need that comes from an honesty I don’t think he’s felt permission to express in a very long time.If ever.

Spotlight on Rebecca Barber's Perfection is Just an Illusion

Perfection is just an illusionPerfection Is Just An Illusion

By Rebecca Barber

Is it possible to have a perfect life? A perfect love? Or is perfection just an illusion…

James Thompson is an Olympic swimmer with gold medals, world records, and million-dollar sponsorship deals…

But his fiancée Anna White is just an ordinary girl—or so she believes.

When James takes her home for a visit and encounters her childhood friends and sleazy, jealous ex-boyfriend, Grant, he sees for the first time just how far apart their worlds really are.

Anna’s so-called friends undermine and backstab, but James is up for the challenge…

James is determined to make Anna see that while she might have once been an ugly duckling, she is now a stunning swan, and the only woman for him.

As the London World Championships approach, media scrutiny of their relationship intensifies, and an intimate secret is uncovered...making their promise to each other nearly impossible to keep.

Caught up in a whirlwind of press coverage, and championship competition…

James and Anna find the stress almost overwhelming, and they struggle to maintain focus on their goals. But when victory finally appears certain, an old menace resurfaces and threatens to violate all James and Anna hold dear.

Is it possible to have a perfect life?

A perfect love?

Or is perfection just an illusion…

Excerpt

“When he comes over please don’t say anything stupid or act funny around him. Please. I’m begging you. He’s just a normal guy like you and me,” Anna pleaded, wide eyed.

At the mention of the ‘normal guy,’ Anna couldn’t help but notice the wide, suspicious eyes staring back at her. It was obvious that her comments had had the exact opposite effect than the one she’d been after. Instead of acting natural and normal, now Anna was worried what would fall out of their mouths. And what confused her more was why. After all, they’d all known each other for years, but now and all of a sudden Anna didn’t trust them. Not as far as she could throw them.

But in the same moment the thought crossed her mind, James edged his way around the bar toward them. Daniel was first to see and recognise him. Anna watched on, horrified, as his mouth fell open, his eyes firmly fixed on James’s approaching figure. And slowly but surely, one by one, everyone else’s gaze followed.

Anna hated her home town in that moment. And she knew James would have as well. This was why they never went anywhere or did anything. The whole bar was watching him. Every move he made was scrutinized, and as he passed by tables, Anna was disgusted to notice conversations fell short. People stopped pushing buttons on the poker machines, and even the bar attendants froze mid-pour as the entire club fell silent. But to James’s credit and Anna’s delight, he continued to walk purposefully across the room, his head held high, and took his seat next to Anna, offering her a glass of mineral water and a reassuring smile as she made introductions.

Anna had never felt so many pairs of eyes on them at once. She felt them boring into her soul. So she did something she never would have done if she had been thinking straight. It was Anna’s greatest weaknesses; she was rash and impulsive. And when provoked, she tended to react first and think later. So she kissed James. In the middle of the crowded room, with hundreds of eyes fixated on them, she kissed him. It worked, luckily. Shocked people returned to what they were doing, leaving Anna’s cheeks burning. She could hear their names being whispered amongst patrons, but at least the staring and deafening silence was over. She heard rumours beginning to take shape, about how she—a nobody—had just kissed the superstar swimmer.

So, here is the amazing hot cover of LOVE OR JUSTICE.

ABOUT THE BOOK:Laurie Shelton is the only person alive who can identify Hawaii’s most notorious mob boss…

After stumbling into a deadly kidnapping, Laurie’s life is in grave danger, and it falls to US Marshal Dante Stark to keep her safe until she testifies against Kaimi Quamboa—assuming he can be captured.

Dante knows he’ll lose his job if he becomes romantically involved with a witness…

But when he has to comfort her through constant nightmares, he finds it nearly impossible to fight his attraction to the beautiful, strong young woman he is sworn to protect. Laurie feels it too, but aware she’s in a high-stress situation and that when the danger is past she’ll never see Dante again, she tries to ignore his easygoing smile and the security he offers.

Laurie and Dante are forced to flee again…

When Kaimi’s men descend on their hideaway, they escape to a second safe house, only to be tracked down there as well. Dante now knows there’s a mole inside the US Marshal Service, and the only thing left to do is disappear.

Kaimi will never stop looking for Laurie, and if he’s caught, showing up to testify could be the last thing she ever does.

With each choice as dangerous as the next, Dante and Laurie must confront the boundaries of what they’re willing to sacrifice, and which is more important…

Love or Justice.

A lesson for Peyton about family from FL.E.S.H. on Friday Snippets #FridaySnippets

From FLESH - erotic contemporary billionaire story - Peyton learns a lesson about family.

Lanna nodded and struggled not to cry. The look of love and pain that swept over his sister solidified a resolve in Peyton never to marry and never to have children. Family had the ability to rip your soul in half.He brushed his niece’s cheek. "I'm only here until your daddy gets here. He's on his way home. I think I saw a unicorn in the gift shop when I raced in here. Do you know anybody who might like it?'Princess yawned and nodded."I'll be right back." Peyton made eye contact with his sister; she nodded and he slipped out of the room. After chatting with the floor nurse and the doctor, Peyton's blood pressure leveled off. His niece would be fine. She'd need a little physical therapy to restore use of her arm and the swelling in her brain had lessened. No complications were foreseeable. In the hospital gift shop, he purchased a stuffed unicorn, a book of children's stories, a box of playing cards, and a balloon bouquet with pictures of teddy bears, unicorns, and kittens. When he returned to the room, he suggested Lanna let Adele drive her home so she could get a couple of hours of sleep. "It's my watch. Scat."Lanna lifted her face to kiss his cheek. "Is that Schwartz's pastrami I smell?"He nodded. "You have to love Adele.""How did she get it here from New York?""There are things I don’t ask. Now get out of here." Peyton pushed his sister toward the door, placed the gifts on the small table, settled onto the hospital chair, and waited for Princess to wake from her nap.A little after six, his sister returned. Princess and Peyton were involved in an intense game of Go Fish. Princess was winning."Hey, honey." Lanna kissed her daughter's forehead. "Good news. Daddy will be here soon." She looked at her brother. "He caught a flight and then made a really short connection and got a break, and he'll be here this evening.""Yay!" Princess tapped her right hand on her table."Okay, then I guess I'll get back to what I was doing. I mean, a CEO can only be beaten in so many games of Go Fish before he has to…""Run and hide?" Lanna grinned."Not the term I'd use, but pretty much means the same thing. I'll text Kalvin and tell him Adele'll be waiting." He wrapped his arms around his sister. "She's gonna be okay. You were just over tired and stressed. I'm guessing being a mom is kinda hard."Lanna leaned against him. "You have no idea."

What people are saying about FLESH5 Star ***** This short story has all the qualities of a great story and it is all compacted in a manner that makes for a satisfying read. Ms. Devore has convinced me that I need to read more of her books, especially if they are written like this one was. One has the initial attraction between two people, their getting to know each other, the misunderstanding and the makeup between them...what more could one want???? Worth the read.

5 Star ***** Ms. Devore has done it again. As one of my favorite, and most anticipated authors, I found myself riveted to the characters and the surprising plot twist that threw me for a loop. I read all her books...what can I say.

5 Star ***** I had never read any of Daryl Devore's books and man, am I glad I read this one! Peyton is the guy we all want and Fuchsia is a girl who is not giving up on her dreams. When the two collide, everything is turned upside down and the result is hot, but also laugh out loud funny. I will definitely have to read more of Devore's books!

5 Star ***** This is the first book I have had the privilege of reading by Daryl Devote (Devore). I'm hooked!! Peyton and Fuchsia's story was full of heat and love. Their playful banter had me laughing out loud. I would definitely recommend this book to my family and friends.
