Hey Gail, what are the odds of a Batgirl/The Movement crossover? Not necessarily soon, but maybe in a year or too? I just think Babs needing to team up with Katharsis could lead to some fun scenes, as would her interacting with Mouse and the others!

I am having a repulsive amount of fun writing Sonja. Can’t even explain.

I love her like I’ve been writing her for years. I feel like she’s at a Babs/Dinah/Shiva level of awesomeness.

Are there any places you'd like to set a story in?

I’d like to have a story in Barcelona, for one.  It’d be fun to have a proper story in New Zealand. I’d love to do a story in Singapore without the martial arts movie cliches I stuck in the last one.

I don't really know why I thought of this question, but what would you think about changing Catman's race? Or any character that you've written a lot for.

I think the New52 is our chance to do that, to make in-canon changes to race and gender and sexuality. It doesn’t bother me. In some ways, it’s interesting to see people lose their minds about it…the conversation always starts with, “I’m not a racist (misogynist, homophobe), and I’m all for more representation, but… (ten pages of screaming outrage follows).

Hi Gail, is there any chance that we'll see the secret six or your version of catman in the new 52? And if so when can we expect it?

I have asked a LOT about individual s6 members and bringing them off the bench. I got EXTREMELY close with Ragdoll and Scandal…actually WROTE a scene of Batgirl fighting Ragdoll.

It was going to be in Batgirl annual one when the story was changed.

Catman, I could bring back but only if I COMPLETELY revamped him to a totally different character. I am fine if that happens, but I don’t want to be the one to o it, it feels too personal.
