Wonder Woman, vol. 3 #25 cover

This is one of my favorite covers ever.

The artist, the wonderful Aaron Lopresti, had his daughter pose to play the two girls. :)

You renamed your new puppy Vixen, and then Vixen got her own TV show. Coincidence?!?!

IT IS A MYSTERY!

I should get another dog and name it MISFIT!

So, THIS Is Cool!

2014 was an amazing year for comics, so many great books and new creators and just one of my favorite times as a reader.

Over at IGN.COM, our BATGIRL ANNUAL #2 was voted the BEST SINGLE COMIC of 2014.

This is kind of stunning, it’s the second time I have written a book that had that honor. Thank you to IGN and to the voters.

In particular, I am delighted because this book was just a story about two female characters I really love, it wasn’t tied into any big crossover, it wasn’t hyped or anything. It was just a story that we all put our hearts into, and it really seemed to connect with readers. It’s one of the books that people seem to feel really strongly about at cons every single time.

HUGE thanks to artists Robert Gill and Javier Garron, as well as editors Mark Doyle and Katie Kubert. This is really the kind of story I wanted to tell with Batgirl and I’m really happy we got to do some of that before handing over the bat-baton. Fantastic work by these artists really made it all work, it was a thrill to work with guys like that. They were SO dedicated, and really did their very best work.

A very nice note for the day. Also, congratulations to all the nominees and winners in all categories and ESPECIALLY to my girl G. Willow Wilson for MS. MARVEL winning best ongoing series. SO deserved!

Thank you, guys!

Is there some rule that hairdressers always have to part your hair down the middle while giving a haircut? Every single time I go in for a haircut, I explain that I do an off-center part, lined up with a mark so it's consistently placed, yet before they c

No, those are bad hairdressers.

Look, I’ll be honest. Sometimes clients come in with terrible ideas of what will look good on their faces. No style works great on every shape of face, with every kind of hair. If someone came in and wanted something that would look awful, I would politely and honestly explain why it might not look the same. I might suggest a few other choices.

But if they insisted, I would cut it as requested. It’s their money, their hair, and their life. Stylists who ignore the clients are jerks.
