Marketing mystery

I took my stories all off KDP since I was only getting 1 or 2 lends a month anyway. Why keep them buried under Amazon’s darks by bosom if they are getting the love?

I loaded everything up on Smashwords and sent my stories to the far corners of the Internet in hopes people would start drooling and buying everywhere Smashwords distributes.

Not happening. Yet.

Question is how do you find time to market all the links for all your stories at all the different bookstores? More important, what techni...

Time management and writing

That’s what this the piece is about.

This is about the parts of my writing life and how I spend the time.

Super Artist Thomas Arensberg

Today I have the high honor of showing off the artwork of the very talented Thomas Arensberg! This is a treat I am confident everyone will enjoy.

Thomas describes himself first and foremost a father, then a painter and sculptor. He is also a martial artist.

He credits his own father as his inspiration. His dad was a great artist. As a kid, Thomas said, “I used to go under the kitchen table and into his lap as he was talking with my mom. He would draw whatever Ii asked for, must have been three...

Picture becoming a story

Many times I have grabbed my camera (well ok, my Iphone) and not really grabbed, because I always have it with me… I head out to take a picture that I hope will fit well with a story I have written, so that photo can become part of the cover.

I’m sure a lot of you have done something similar. I have used details from some of my artwork for book covers in the past, and I like them. Although its hard to “retro fit” a painting I did five years ago into the cover from a fresh new story. It works s...

Couple of poems

I was digging around in my files and found a couple of poems I wrote in high school…thought it might be fun to post them. Enjoy….or not :)

The Passion of Death

Fires burning down below,

Can you see its amber glow?

Can you feel its heat,

Gently burning at your feet?

Do you know anything about,

What happens when the fire goes out?

The Old Man and Me

Hearing aid turned up to loud,

old man rocks his

musty chair-

I, jabbering,

assemble Legos

Chair rocks,

I build blocks

What lurks in the depths of your closet o...
