ok….I keep messing with my cover. I can't stop but I need to be done and move on. My second book The Second Chimney is calling to me and I am on roll with that

I redesigned the cover for Fall Leaves and Black Dragon to try and make the cover tell a little more of a story and capture attention….what do you think?

The Outline

I guess the next step is to actually start to put together what I want to have happen to Lukas.  I am going to start putting together an outline of my story.  I usually make a very general outline to start out with and build on it and it changes as I go along.

The ending is something I also want to start thinking about.  Not a specific ending just a gist of what I want to happen in the end and how I hope the reader will react to the ending.  I don't think I stick to a rigid formula and the...

Not much more than a headache

Well I thought about my book a lot today but I haven't written anything yet!  I think I have the opening chapter scratched out….I will post the first sentence here if anyone wants to read it and see if it has a little bit off a hook in it.  The first sentence seems very important.

This is what I have:

He knew no one would call, no one would come over and worse still no one would remember but Lukas LASTNAME secretly loved his birthday anyway.

Hello world! My Next Novel

Okay I am going to try this blogging and see if I can get into it.  I am going to blog about the headaches and joys of writing my second novel…..we shall see what I can learn by writing about my process.

I wrote my first novel during NaNoWriMo and absolutely loved that experience.  I wrote a lot when I was young but November really got me hooked.  So I wrote my first novel and edited it during December and January.  I got excited about it and submitted to Amazaon Breakout Novel Award...
