Yellow and Black means...

This is what we call a zipper spider.


As you can see the way it designs its web, that's why we call it a "zipper spider." They're not dangerous, but when I've about walked through one in its web, it's nearly given me a heart attack. :)


This is a poisonous snake!




Yellow and black Labrador Retrievers...we used to have a yellow! There's a cute little chocolate one too, nearly buried by the black and yellow and ducks. :)

Ohmigosh, the Lizards Are Coming! The Lizards Are Coming!

They are running around and increasing in number exponentially. Yikes! I worked some on patching up the ceiling in places and slivers of cracks in the walls yesterday, but I've got to find where the bigger holes are that everything is getting in. The bug man showed me a couple of places around pipes and told me to get some foam that expands, so I need to do that.

Not that that will be enough, but hopefully it will help a little tiny bit. Everything wants to be in here where it's cooler. I don'...

Lovely Werewolf Artistry!

I loved this rendition of werewolves in their wolf coats. They don't look as realistic as wolves, but almost so. Now the question is--is the one on its back the female or the male? And if it was MY story, which would be which, do you think?

In this picture, the one towering over the other appears to be bigger, so to me, it looks like the male. But if it was Leidolf in Seduced by the Wolf, he'd be on his back, enticing Cassie to draw near. :) And then, she'd be in trouble in a fun sort of...

A Full Moon means...

I was getting ready to go to work yesterday morning, and look what I found! No, not a wolf, or a werewolf, but the full moon!

I had to stop the car, run into the house, grab my camera, and take a picture. I'm sure my neighbor was watching and thought I was nuts. LOL

Anyway, isn't it cool???

Okay, one of the problems with using my laptop for doing my blogs, is the screen for my pictures is so small, I can't figure out what I"m seeing until I upload them to the blog. And since I'm constantly short...

Just Teasing...

You know, I couldn't have made up anything funnier if I'd tried. Every time I drive by this sign, I've wanted to get a picture, and in fact have tried, but never had a camera that could take a clear shot.

So there you have it!

Don't you absolutely love this wolf? He looks really wild, don't you think? Probably because he is!!

My editor said she loved my nonfiction article on wolves, so it's a go! It's always a real pleasure, and relief, when my editor loves what I've done! :)

The Nitty Gritty...

Today is the beginning of the big move. I worked on stuff for 2 hours yesterday--checking in book drop, pulling expired holds, and shelving, but today, the movers come. Which means chaos. Since everyone and no one is in charge of this project. :( I have to go in really early to meet with the movers. Another librarian and one of our volunteers will join me so we can shelve before the men arrive.
