There Are Too Many Mondays in a Week! And the Books are Here!

Which means they're in the warehouse!!! Woohoo, it's time to wrap ourselves in a wolfish Highland hunk!

I know, I know, there is officially only one Monday in a week, but sometimes it seems like two or three as the week progresses and sometimes the one seems like two or three rolled up in that one day.

This week, I've got to get more guest blogs done because the time of reckoning is coming, and did I tell you we're going to the Renaissance Fair? It's pirate's day! I missed Highlander day. But pirates will do. Me hearty maties, I'm ready to swab the deck and hoist the mainsail. Nah, I want to captain the ship! Let those other sailors do all the swabbing.

Did I tell you I have a pirate scene in The Highlander Wolf in Paradise? It's a fun one, not a contemporary type bad guy pirate scene.

You see, I had to show off Duncan's sword fighting skill in front of the female wolf. :)

She's impressed. Of course. So is everyone else. Even the pirates. :)

*sigh*

It's time to begin the Monday.

So if you were going to join in on the pirate day fun, would you dress up for it???

Yes, So My Werewolves are Naked, but...

But they're wolves!

So what's with men and women, who are not werewolves, and EVEN my werewolves would not do this--who wear flannel pajamas out in public?

Okay, so sometimes I see people wearing fuzzy slippers (not a good fashion statement) at the grocery store, and even my heroine in Wolf Fever was wandering around outside looking for a wolf while she was wearing her slippers, but she was at home, not at the mall or the...library.

And curlers. Wearing a sheer scarf over it doesn't cover up the fact the curlers are an eyesore.

I'm thrilled we don't have strict dress codes any longer. I had to wear dresses, no jeans, no pants when I was in school when I was young. But have we gone to the absurd?

And underwear as outerwear?

Or bra straps exposed while wearing a strapless dress. Uhm, if you wear a strapless dress, you wear a strapless bra or none at all. That's the rule. It's just not sexy otherwise.

Or combat boots with hairy legs and a dress--not a guy, but young women.

What is the point, I wonder???

*sigh* I'm still trying to get my mind off the man with the pajama bottoms on at the library. Then there are the men exposing half of their briefs above their britches. Right. Really lovely. Not.

Back to naked jaguar men, who wouldn't be caught dead in the jungle or otherwise in cutesy flannel pajama bottoms anywhere. Although...hmmm.....

The Dark Fae

Sorry, I didn't blog earlier! Blogger was down and then I had to go to my daughter's graduation. She made it!

I also was able to get another YA fantasy up. My daughter wants me to upload one of her favorites--Lady Caroline and the Egotistical Earl, so I'll be working on that next. But right now, it's time to ship grad photos and then I've got to get ready for bed. :( Work day tomorrow.

Cover for 'The Dark Fae' The Dark Fae Ebook By Terry Spear

Published: May. 13, 2011

Category: Fiction » Young adult or teen » Romance
Category: Fiction » Young adult or teen » Fantasy

Available at:
Amazon and B&N
and Smashwords

Alicia's always known she's different--that she can recognize the mischievous fae when they show up to "play" with the humans. Only now she's faced with one highly annoyed dark fae and she's certain he knows the truth about her. She can see him, which means her life is forfeit.

Add to that, his sister arrives, who wants to play, too. And their mother, the queen of the Denkar, will want Alicia's head, once she learns what Alicia can do.

And all because Alicia was attempting to rescue her friend, Cassie, on their beach excursion at South Padre Island, from the wicked fae. Now, Alicia has really gone and done it--and she's thinking she should have let the fae have his fun. Her friend's broken heart would be a lot easier to deal with, than Alicia losing her life.

But it is too late for regrets. As soon as she threw the soda at the dark fae's chest, she had declared war on the fae. And he is happy to take up the challenge.

Have a super rest of the night. Off to get my camera to upload pictures to my daughter...

I Teased about Watering so it Would Rain, but...

I really did water yesterday morning because the tree we replanted was looking so poorly and I'd hoped it would last the day if I soaked it good, and the youpan holly look so bad I think I'm losing them, but I watered them just in case.

So just as I'm getting out of the 1 1/2 hour long dental procedure, it starts to pour last night. I was without Internet, but kept my electricity!!! This is the second time I watered in the morning and it poured rain that night.

Of course, there comes a point of no return in the summer when I can plan a picnic outside, water to my heart's content, and wash the car, and even do a rain dance, and the rain clouds (if they even come around) will snicker and ignore me. :)

Well, I'm off to the rainforest and hope you all have a great day!

I won't be at work tomorrow, but will be at my daughter's graduation, and hope to get the newsletter off after the celebration. :)

Have a super Thursday!!!

Today is a Dentist Day

What does that mean? It means I'd so much rather be walking in these woods. It means I'll have a crown over the implant that was started back in September. It means that they'll have to cut into the gum again. It means that it will be a bad day, and when it is all over, it will be a good day too.

It means that I can't wait until I get this over with and wish that I hadn't scheduled it as late in the day as I could so I could stay at work as late as I could.

It means that today is truly a hump day. Once I'm over this, I'm truly over the hump!

Have a terrific teeth day!

Ack, Too Hot Already!

97 degrees out and 50 degrees in, at least it felt like that at work. I hate it when they turn the AC down so low we get pneumonia!

Anyway, I had the fans on last night but it was too hot and I finally broke down and turned on the AC once. That did enough to cool it down for the rest of the night with the fans still going.

It's too hot already. We're going to pirate day at the fair on the 21st and I'm afraid we're going to be hot little pirates with no ocean to swim in. I have to remind myself it's great for research. Pretend I'm in the Amazon with a couple of jaguar cats. :)

One more book read for the contest, one more left to go! I'm afraid with writing all these guest blogs (9 left to write) and reading all these books for contests, going pirating for a day and seeing my daughter's grad and celebrating afterward, I won't make my goal to finish Jaguar by Memorial Day weekend. *sigh*

Since the big blog tour starts on May 31, I really had hoped to have it done. Oh well, at least I'll have the contest done, and most of the blogs done by then, and some more written on Jaguar, even if not the whole book!!!

Monday had to have been a full moon--one woman wanted to download ebooks, but she needed a library card. I'd asked if she was in the system, and she said no. Story of our lives. She was already in the system but owed under $5 for fines and a replacement card. She had two addresses listed--two homes she lives in...but she was mad about having to get another library card. She already had two--for different colleges. Right. But to download OUR ebooks, you have to have OUR library card. So she was furious and stormed off. And that was only one issue I had yesterday.

I truly believe we have more full moons than anyplace else on earth.

Hope your Tuesday is terrific and that when the full moon appears, it doesn't change people into something totally unreasonable!

How Did It Get to be Monday Again???

*sigh*

I'd rather be here. :)

I told you that I put weed killer down, right? I think it was a weed fertilizer. And that stuff is expensive!!! It didn't do ANYTHING!

I didn't water because I was afraid it would ruin its potency. So much for weed killers. Back to the old fashioned digging the weeds up, which seems like an insurmountable task. If I could work on it a little daily, it would work. But I just don't have the time.

Okay, so I got half of my word count that I wanted to get this weekend. Actually, I didn't get any of it done this weekend. :( Too many guest blogs to write. Luckily, I at least got the other half done during the work week.

My future son-in-law did miracles on some photos I purchased for pictures and changed medieval gown colors. It was fun watching him do it. I just hope that when I need to do it on my own, I can! And he planted a tree that had been in a plant pot that needed to be in the ground. We didn't do a real great job on getting it out of the plant pot, so not sure if it will make it, but it needed to be in the ground.

And I need to find a spot for hydrangias my daughter got for me. They're lovely, but we have so much blistering heat here, I'll have to find a spot where it will survive.

It was a terrific Mother's Day and I'm still enjoying it!

Hope everyone else had fun over the weekend that will at least help to get you through...Monday!

Happy Mother's Day!

From my son! And a box of chocolate too!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day whether you're a mother or just honoring your own!

I've been working really hard to get some of the blogs done for the blog tour before my daughter and her fiance arrive to celebrate Mother's Day. His mother is in another state now.

I hope you all have a terrific Sunday!!!

I'm off to write some blogs before it's too late! 7 books done for the contests, 2 to go! 11 blogs done, 9 to go!

And my daughter is graduating next Friday! Woohoo! After college, she'll be working on her masters/intern program, and so it's off to another adventure!

Have a great day!

It's Up!

The newsletter is up! I meant to do it last night, but I was just plain tired. Instead, I was having fun looking for new cover pictures for covers and reading another of the contest books. Three more to go!

I'm about to go out and weed. They're always getting away from me, which is to say they're running amok and taking over!!!...but I'm going to try some weed killer and see if that won't help me get things under some control!! Anyone know of a weed killer that really works???

*sigh*

What with Mother's Day tomorrow, I won't have a lot of time to work on my other work...but I'm off to get my word count as much as I can today, and clean the house (the bad part about having mother's day here!) and ack! I have a ton of blogs to do for the big debut of Heart of the Highland Wolf.

*double sigh*

I don't know what happened last weekend, but I didn't get any done!!!

So do YOU have any plans for Mother's Day???

In the Dead of the Night

Here it is in the DEAD OF THE NIGHT, literally, having awakened with a punishing sinus headache and can't sleep. So I found that my latest romantic suspense is up and available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon!!

It will be available on Smashwords in another day o so. That means it's perfect for a TGIF!!! Well, except for the fact I can't sleep and have to work all day. But my daughter's having lunch with me after completing nearly all her finals. One more on Saturday and she's done!!!

I can't believe it. After homeschooling her and her brother for years, both are graduates and are off to begin their new careers!

Nookbook

Allan Thompson arrives in Waco, Texas for a mission of utmost importance--protect a terrorist's mistress from being the next victim on his hit list. But when the mission goes down wrong, Jenny Brant is nearly killed and Allan begins a new mission--protect her at all costs--as her faux husband until she can regain her memories.

Everything about the mission seems wrong--all starting with one Jenny Brant who doesn't fit the profile of the kind of woman Wilson usually hooks up with. Allan and his team must protect her, but at what cost to his own sanity or his heart?

Jenny Brant begins to regain her memories, but when she learns she has a huge inheritance that Wilson wants by marrying her, and the agent Allan Thompson will marry her instead to secret her money away with the Agency's protection, she still can't remember why she would have been a killer's main squeeze. When Wilson's thugs try to return her to him, she becomes less sure of who the good guys are and who she truly is.

The only thing she knows for certain--if someone doesn't take down Wilson, her life is forfeit.

****
Well, hopefully the sinus medicine will help alleviate my sinus difficulties and I can sleep now...and, uhm, still wake up in time for work.

Or I will be in real trouble of my own today!

Have a super Friday!!!
