Human 2.0
A recent publicity stunt for Cosmo featured a girl walking around a crowded area with an “iPad helmet” on her head.
As you can see in the video, it’s not just that she’s wearing the contraption that causes pause, it’s how the screens are reflective of each perspective of her head and how the video is clearly representing her actual movements. From an existential position, we can ask a basic question: where does the human end and the representation begin? Because the representation is an actual...

The Evolving Video Experience (Hint: It’s More Than Just the Video)
This was originally published on the Limelight Networks blog.
When we talk about the “video experience,” we tend to focus on the actual video itself and the obvious metrics to measure success—delivery speed, buffering, quality of the video, etc. And although these metrics are still important, they are not the only measurement of a positive “video experience.” Before I jump into those other metrics, let me first touch on why these other metrics are there in the first place.
I’ll put it bluntly—t...
Negative Ghost Rider, the Pattern is Full
I’ve always had a fascination with radio-controlled planes and helicopters. But the video below is like an aviation-hobbyist’s wet dream! All I can say is…holy crap. The radio-controlled jet in this picture is going about 385 mph. Forget about thinking how he lands it, just ask yourself how he’s controlling it! One wrong turn and blamo!

Who’s REALLY using Google+?
The data visualization wizards at Bime have just posted an interactive dashboard of Google Plus data that gives a pretty granular picture.Bime admits that the data is “a few weeks old,” so demographics may have shifted. As we noted last week, user behavior on Google Plus appears to be changing. But Bime’s dashboard is still probably a reliable picture of who the early Google Plus adopters are.

How do I improve my social media presence?
Answer by Robert Scoble:
Some ideas:
Improve your inbound. I spent a LOT of time organizing my friends and adding new people who are bringing me interesting stuff over the past year. Now my feeds are much more interesting. If you don't have interesting inbound it'll be hard for you to have interesting stuff to say.You can increase your inbound easily by adding some lists, by the way. I've created several here on Facebook:

The One Thing You Need to Know About Self-Publishing (That No One Will Tell You)
Okay, you’ve got an idea for a book. Maybe you’ve got a long history in writing. Maybe you have just found your muse. Maybe you’ve invested in some courses or some books (like the new APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur by Guy Kawasaki). Whatever, you’re ready to get to writing.
Done. Book finished.
(If it was only that easy…)
But now that you’ve got your book finished, you want to get it published. Sure, there are some people who just write because they want to. They might share it with friend...
