The Internet of Things is getting smarter
At CES 2013. This platform from Arraynet enables any device to be a connected device. That’s pretty awesome and really signifies the tipping point for connecting everything: a platform for data interchange and device access.

A Digital Book Done Right
If you haven’t taken a look at Google’s “20 Things I Learned About Browsers and the Web,” you should. This is the future of digital books. Built entirely in HTML 5, it’s engaging, interactive, and provides more of a “book feel” than e-readers. Taking cues from Seuss and others, the book itself is well written, light, airy, and pleasantly illustrated for an otherwise dry and boring...

Successful Software
In order for software to be successful, I think it needs to capitalize on two things.
First, software must exploit existing consumer behavior. Asking users to “re-learn” or spend time learning something new will kill adoption and usage.
Second, software must employ existing technologies with which the user is comfortable. So, mobile software should make heavy use of SMS rather than asking a user to download/install a specific application.
