November 17, 2022: Do You Need Adventures For The Fantasy Trip?

Thanks to the generous support of Kickstarter backers, we have several adventures for GMs to choose from for their next session of The Fantasy Trip . Adventures – This hardcover includes five different adventures as well as new counters, new cards, and two folders to store your notes. Adventures 2 – A second hardcover collection packed with five adventures and new counters.  Quick Quests – So far, we've released seven different titles in this series of micro-adventures, with an eighth on the way and more in progress. Each adventure is a small-scale event, and GMs may use them in any order they wish, dropping them into the campaign wherever they best fit.Steve and the team have been working on a third hardcover collection of adventures. We're not exactly sure when that next volume will be ready, but we will post just as soon as we know more. (Maybe a 2023 release, but it is tough to say for sure at the moment. Regardless, we can say that we've got more for The Fantasy Trip in the works and will continue supporting it.)

Hot on the heels of recent Car Wars Sixth Edition retail releases, Car Wars Miniatures Set 3 and Set 4 are now hitting the shelves at your favorite local game store! These miniature packs not only add more physical cars, but tons of new cards to customize them for the next duel. Set 3 features Brimstone, Stiletto, Aristocrat, Avalanche, and Jackal, five cars with enough guns to take out a bunker. Set 4 adds Sawtooth, Conestoga, Shuriken, Fuzion, and Kodiak to your garage, ready to unleash carnage on your opponents. Both sets come with the cars and upgrades, as well as four colored bases to make sure you have enough for four players to jump into the arena.

November 15, 2022: Super Kitty Bug Slap Now Available Via DriveThruCards

Even amid global uncertainty in distribution and production – and the vagaries of the gaming biz – we've been working to keep games available via a variety of venues in order to increase the chances you can get the ones you want when you want them. Our latest offering is Super Kitty Bug Slap – the fast-paced game of cute cards and quick reactions – now ready to order via DriveThruCards' print-on-demand service.

This isn't identical to the previous version. It doesn't come in commercial packaging (although you can add a clear plastic deckbox). Most importantly, you'll have to download the rules to share with the players. But the cards are what's most important in a card game, and these are now just a click away!

Super Kitty Bug Slap joins the Silicon Valley Tarot in returning to print via the same POD tech – and we're working to see what other classics we can bring back. The future is here, and now it involves kitties, bugs, and slapping!

November 14, 2022: FnordCon 6 Wrap-Up

FnordCon 6 has ended, and we had an absolute blast playing games, sharing a few secrets, and playtesting. Our Discord was jumping with activity! We moved the popular "What's New" to Saturday as the close, which garnered some really great feedback. A number of folks on the west coast are still at work at 6pm Central, which meant they could not attend a Friday afternoon session. Fixed! Derek Pearcy had a big audience for his demo of the new Illuminati game, releasing soon on Steam. Everyone loved the card art, and we even found a couple of little bugs. Soon to be ex-bugs. We had great panels for The Fantasy Trip and GURPS , as well as Munchkin with Will and Devin.  And who could pass up the chance to see Jimmie and Hunter go at it in Car Wars Sixth Edition , live-streamed on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook? Not once, but twice in one afternoon. Hunter even (finally) dropped The Slab! We had great attendance for both these as well as Ben's hobby stream, where he painted an Ogre Mark II from the upcoming Ogre Miniatures Set 4 . Our virtual gaming sessions were as poorly attended as at the last two virtual FnordCons, and we've come to the conclusion that not being able to directly schedule links in advance, and share those before the day of the event, is the primary cause. The virtual tabletop applications just don't support that functionality at this point, and telling folks to be ready to play on one outside software or another just isn't the same thing as having a link ready to click in the schedule. We'll continue to look for improvements here, and work with our virtual tabletop partners to get new options for the next FnordCon. That's it, and remember, the show specials continue on the new Shopify Warehouse 23 store with code . . . use "FnordCon22" at checkout. November 10, 2022: Munchkin Witches Kickstarter Closes Today!

The moon has set on the Witchstarter event over on Kickstarter, and with that, the  Munchkin Witches  project also comes to a close this afternoon. There's still time to back (if you're reading this post on the day it was posted!), so if you haven't checked out the project, you should do that right now! We love doing these mini-expansions because they are an inexpensive way to spice up your favorite deck. This 30-card pack adds a mix of brand new monsters and loot themed around witches, drawn by the amazing Len Peralta, who you may know from  Munchkin Clowns  and  Munchkin Apocalypse Guest Artist Edition . 

Plus, this is a great chance to add on an assortment of new and upcoming expansions, like Munchkin Cows, Munchkin Deathly Pail, and Munchkin Druids. Combined with Witches, these all mix in great with any Munchkin set (which you can also grab through the campaign).
