Wordless Wednesday

Yep. That was me today. *sigh*

So let me tell you how my day went. We woke up late. The Kid and Princess & the Pea were late for school. I forgot to put the washing on before I showered so it wasn't ready to hang out before I had to leave with Princess One for the city. We drove to the train station and proceed to drive around in circles looking for a parking spot only to watch our train pull in to the station and leave before we found the non-existent empty spot. Knowing the next train wouldn't get us to the city on time we decided to drive in. (I hate driving in Sydney. It sux!) I looked down and noticed Princess One did not have enough petrol to get us there. Detour to petrol station. Leave petrol station with screaming credit card. Surprisingly our drive in was smooth. Then we hit the city streets. And stopped. Moved an inch. Stopped. Moved an inch. Stopped. You get the idea. I ended up having to eject Princess One while waiting in traffic. She wasn't too thrilled with the idea but I managed to convince her it was the only option. Fifteen minutes later I pulled into a parking station and proceeded to walk the ten blocks back to where I'd ejected Princess One. I wandered around the shops for a whole five minutes when she rang to say she was ready to head home. We walked the ten blocks back to her car (with her whinging the whole way) to start the drive home. It took twice as long to get home. Why is it that every idiot has to be on the road when I am? And what's with the people who have no idea they have indicators? You know, the blinking lights that let people know what you're about to do whether it's safe to do so or not?

*deep sigh*

I think I know why I prefer to stay inside with my ass planted safely in my desk chair.

Six Sentence Sunday – Coyote Whispers – #sixsunday

Welcome back to Six Sentence Sunday! This week I thought we'd venture into the pages of another recent release. Coyote Whispers is the third book in the Coyote Hunger series.

He was going to kill her. There was no way she could throw him off, he was too heavy. Tears burned her eyes and throat as he once again wrapped his hands around her neck and began to squeeze. The back of her head pounded but the pain had begun to go numb. Her arms and legs wouldn't work properly, their weight too much to move. Her vision blurred, blackness creeping in around the edges and she thought she heard someone call her name.

You can find the blurb & excerpt for Coyote Whispers HERE! And you can check out the whole Coyote Hunger series HERE!

And please don't forget to check out all the other authors taking part in Six Sentence Sunday this week.

Where did the week go?

If anyone knows where Thursday and Friday are could you point them out please? Oh, and Saturday too. *sigh*

It's almost 8pm on Saturday and I haven't written a word since Wednesday. I'm really not sure where all those hours went or what I did with them but I am sure it wasn't finishing the wip I wanted done by today. And tomorrow I won't get any words down as we're off on a family adventure. By family I mean the extended family and by adventure I mean this -

It's called the Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk and you can check it out HERE! I'll be taking the camera and if my legs stop shaking long enough for me to snap some pix I'll blog them and about our adventure next week. Of course I may still chicken out…….

It's NaNo-vember!

Most people in the writing world know about NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month. For the month of November writers all over the world sign up to write a novel aka 50,000 words. The idea is to turn off your internal editor and just write. For some of us that's easy, for others not so much but whichever category you fall into you plant your butt in the chair and your fingers on the keyboard and start typing on November 1.

I've done it a few years now, don't remember how many times I've been successful and going to the NaNo site doesn't help me because twice I've hit the 50k mark and not uploaded my words before the cut off. :) Yeah, clever I am. Anyway, I'm at it again this year and I'm determined to not only reach my goal of 50k but to also remember to upload when I'm done. I've even written myself a little note.

In the last 24 hrs my plans have been turned upside down. Okay fine, they've just been switched around. Whatever. So instead of working on my planned wip I now have to work on a different one. And I should be able to tell you why in a few days. Just waiting for some paperwork. ;)

Six Sentence Sunday – All Of You – #sixsunday

This is my first time participating in Six Sentence Sunday but I've cruised around some of the other authors posts for a few weeks now so I think I know what to do. :) You can find out all about Six Sentence Sunday HERE.

So here's my six:-

He traced his fingertips around the waist of her silky underwear. "Is this what I think it is? You're wearing a thong?"

Claire couldn't speak, could only nod as his hands followed the material to her ass and dipped between her cheeks. Suddenly his hands were gone and a groan of protest left her throat.

"Drop the dress."

You can find a blurb and excerpt for All Of You HERE.

A review and a chat.

I'll be chatting over at the Noble Romance Publishing reader loop on Saturday night at 9pm US EST or Sunday midday Sydney time for those here in Oz, like me. :) If you're not a member of the loop you can join HERE. There will be the chance to win gift certificates as well as a Kindle so be sure to head on over and listen to me rave about my latest Noble Romance release. Speaking of that…..

All Of You received 4 cherries from Foxglove over at Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews. Yay! The full review is HERE but you know me, I just have to share a snippet. ;)

"This is definitely a sexy romance, with plenty of very hot action in places I didn't see coming. There is a picnic in the park that raises the temperature quite nicely, without completely embarrassing either party."

Ah yes, the park scene. :) I remember it well.

Don't forget to head on over to Noble's loop for your chance to win. CLICK HERE

"They complement each other very well, and the chemistry between them leaps off the page anytime they're in the same room."

And this bit:-

"This is a wonderful addition to the Coyote Hunger series. Rhian Cahill has done a great job of making each story in the series better than the one before."

Book three in the Coyote Hunger series.

"Doc" Gordie has tried to keep Steve McKenna at arm's length, but the sexy coyote shifter is under her skin, in her blood and in her heart. No matter how much she fears what he makes her feel, she can't bear to stay away. After he rescues her from a vicious attack, Gordie is helpless to deny the sizzling attraction burning between them.

There hasn't been a day Steve has not wanted Doc in his bed, but bruised and bloody is not what he had in mind. The need for revenge is riding his coyote—almost as much as his aching desire to finally claim Doc as his own. But that will have to wait. He must first convince Doc the safest place for her is by his side. When a second attack draws them together, suppressed needs explode, leaving no doubt where they both belong. But danger is never far behind and Gordie is forced to make a fatal decision that could destroy all they've worked so hard to discover.

Excerpt:-

"There's no turning back now, Doc." His fingers toyed with the ends of her hair.

She swallowed over the lump in her throat. "I know."

He smiled. "That easy?"

"It's amazing what a little fright can do for the senses." She tried to return his smile but it somehow slipped from her lips before it could form.

"Come here." Steve released her seatbelt and pulled her into his lap, pinning her between his body and the wheel. "You're safe here, Doc."

Gordie figured he meant in his house, but for her, safety was his arms, the security of his embrace and the strength he offered her willingly. She moved closer, nuzzled her face against the warmth of his neck and drew in his scent. It amazed her how just that small action could soothe her nerves and rile them at the same time.

"Gordie." Warm air ruffled her hair before she felt his lips press to her temple. "Come on, let's get inside or everyone will arrive and find us fucking in my truck."

She gasped. His use of strong language didn't bother her, it was the images the words provoked that made her breathless.

"Yeah, I'm that close." He chuckled as he opened the door and maneuvered them out of the cab.

"I can walk."

"I know, but I want to carry you and you're going to let me." His arms tightened around her.

"Okay."

Steve laughed. "All this easy agreement is starting to worry me, Doc."

"Don't worry. I'll be back to my disagreeable self soon enough and then you'll wish you hadn't started this."

"Never."

"You say that now…"

He swung her legs down until her toes barely touched the ground and pressed her against the side of his truck. "I'll say it forever."
