Six Sentence Sunday – Coyote Whispers Pt4 – #sixsunday
It's that time of the week again. Six Sentence Sunday! We're back with Doc and Steve but this week I'm sharing a different kind of tension.

His coyote howled for him to take what she offered while he fought to keep his civility and not rut on her like the beast he was. Control snapped and he glanced at his watch.
"I reckon we have five minutes before anyone shows up and it shames me to say I won't need that long." He gripped her shoulders, pushed her back. "Strip."
She stumbled, caught herself and kicked off her shoes.

The downhill run.
No I'm not talking about skiing! It's that part of the story where things come rushing at you at high speed and you have to zig or zag or splat! I had planned to be done by now but it took a little bit more effort than I thought it would to unwrite the corner my characters were in. Of course they had their own opinions of how that should be done and not one of us could agree sooooo……..I deleted them into seeing it my way.

I haven't seen that much of the weekend so far but I have heard the driving rain beating against the roof of our back deck. The sun did show it's face later today and it got rather warm, or so the Tribe tells me. I didn't really leave my office except to go to the supermarket for food and it was freezing in there! You would think I'd learn to wear covered shoes and take a jacket but noooo, I have to freeze my ass off ever damn time. *sigh* Never let it be said I don't sacrifice for this Tribe.
Okay, back to the cave. All right, fine, I'm going to bed early. But I'll be up and back at it in the morning. Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.

Murphy always wins.
Damn him!
Why is it that every single time I'm on a deadline the whole world needs my attention? Huh? WHY??!!! *cries*
First The Kid got sick, then WWIII broke out inside the house and finally the dreaded Christmas list check. *big sigh* I know, I know, *whispers* it could be worse.
As of now I'm on lockdown until this thing is done! If you see me on the net or twitter or facebook or anywhere other than in my chair yell at me. Or better yet, ignore me. If no one talks to me I'll soon go away…..no wait, I'm usually okay talking to myself…..:)
Okay, back to the writing cave. See you when I get out. Hopefully later today. If not tomorrow. Definitely by tomorrow night.

Six Sentence Sunday – Coyote Whispers Pt3 – #sixsunday
It's Six Sentence Sunday again!
I've had so much fun the last two weeks with Coyote Whispers that I decided we'd revisit again this week. BUT, I'm not starting where I left off. Nope, these six sentences are from a little bit after the last ones.

They entered the building at a slower pace. Dale took the lead but Steve stayed right on his heels. No sounds came from the interior and he thought maybe they'd imagined the cry from Tatum. The sight that met them in the morgue almost crippled him. Doc lay curled on her side, covered in blood. A huge pool of the stuff lay between her and Marcus.

New contract and two reviews!
It's been a great few days. First I have to squee though.

squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee………………………………………
Okay, now that's out of the way. I sold another novella to Etopia Press. This is the kinda sequel to Bondi Beach Boys I was talking about the other day. The title is Sand, Surf, and Sunni, and it's a m/f/m menage. I'm thrilled that Etopia want it. More details as I get them.

And the wait begins.
I just sent a proposal to my editor at Etopia. SSS is sort of the sequel to  Bondi Beach Boys  and I'm going to be chewing my nails until I hear whether or not Ms. Editor likes it. If you want the first really good sneak peek at SSS head on over to the Down Under Divas blog HERE! where you'll find Sunni, Rand and Z. I'd love to know what you think so be sure to leave a comment. I'll just wait here with the razor blades while you do. Joking. Really.
 Joking. Really.
What else am I working on right now? Well I'm finishing SSS and Spin The Bottle, the next Party Games book from me. I heard a rumor about STB, sshhh….., it's possible this one could be coming your way in late 2012. I'm also turning over a new contemporary series in my head. It's been brewing for a while now and I'm getting rather fond of the three brothers involved. Can't wait to get started on the first book early next year. What? That isn't that far away you know. In the mean time…..back to work.

Six Sentence Sunday – Coyote Whispers Pt2 – #sixsunday
Last week I kinda left you all hanging. So this week I thought I'd give you the next six sentences in Coyote Whispers. Because I'm nice like that.

Steve.
"He's too late." Marcus laughed above her, his face a grotesque, distorted image. "You're dead, bitch, and he's next."
"No." The hoarse cry hurt her throat but she couldn't let him get Steve.

Let them eat cake!
OMG! Last night we went to a 40th b'day party where the cake looked like this -
Totally cool. (even though my photography skills suck. )
 )
The birthday girl had a great night. So did Mr.C and the rest of the car load I transported. *sigh* Yes, designated driver, that's me. Anyway, today I feel like I'm hungover and I didn't even drink! In my defense though we did stand the WHOLE time we were there. My back is killing me. ugh!
Okay, enough with the whining. Off to do some work.

ETA (because Susan asked) – Yes, apparently it tasted better than it looked. Sadly I was unable to sample it as it was made using wheat flour. :cries:
