Six Sentence Sunday – Coyote Whispers Pt6 – #sixsunday

It's that time of the week again. Six Sentence Sunday! We're back with Doc and Steve, a little after where we left off last week but not far. :) Enjoy. Steve sure is. ;)

.

Damn, he didn't want to do it like this. He wanted inside her cunt, wanted to bathe her womb with his seed and mark her completely as his. With strength he didn't think he had, Steve pulled from Doc's mouth.

"No, not this way the first time." He tugged her to her feet. "Turn around, hold the counter and spread your legs."

You can find the blurb, excerpt and buy link for Coyote Whispers HERE

Snippet Saturday – Family

The theme this week is family. I've chosen to introduce you to the brother of the hero from All Of You.

Claire Jones never dreamed the fantasies she'd been having about the young guy next door would ever become reality but after a push from her best friend and one encounter involving dirty laundry she's getting more reality than one woman should be allowed. But with reality comes emotion and Claire finds herself falling deeper and deeper under Ryan's spell.

Ryan Doherty wants in Claire's pants but he soon discovers hot sex isn't all he's after. She makes him happy in a way nothing and no one else ever has and if he has to use their amazing chemistry to stay in her life he will. Because having more of Claire isn't an option. It's the only choice.

Can Ryan and Claire bridge the age gap to find the love of a life time or will what others think destroy the best thing either of them has ever found?

Excerpt:-

Numerous times during the day Ryan pulled his phone from his pocket to check he hadn't missed a call. Of course he hadn't and certainly not from the one person he wanted to hear from. He couldn't believe how much of a schmuck he was being. Claire didn't even have his number. Mentally rolling his eyes at himself, Ryan picked up his hard hat and jammed it on his head. He left the portable office and walked over to where Brett was checking some wiring that had been completed that morning.

"Everything in order?"

"Yeah, that new contractor seems to be working out just fine," Brett said as he stood.

"We lucked out there I think. What's on for the rest of today?" Ryan glanced around the work site. Their men were busy doing their jobs, and the building was finally taking shape.

"Council will be here at three to inspect the wiring. Plumber isn't due back until morning, so if things go quick with the inspection, we could knock off early. Give the guys a bonus for all their long hours."

"Sounds good. We've already pulled overtime on this job, and there'll probably be more before we're done. Are we back on schedule?"

"Yep. One of us can move on to the next project by the end of next week. You want me to stay on this one?" Brett asked.

"Whatever. It makes no difference to me."

"Okay, I'll start the shop refit while you finish up here."

"How many of the men will you take with you?"

"Just one. I plan on doing most of the demolition myself." Brett grinned.

Ryan had to smile. They might both enjoy building things from the ground up, but there was definitely some satisfaction in clearing out the old to make way for the new.

"So you gonna tell me who's got you all starry-eyed and picking up your phone every three seconds?"

Ryan whipped his head back around to stare at his brother.

"Close your mouth, Ryan. You'll catch flies. So did you finally get into the pants of the woman next door?"

He felt his face heat and knew he was blushing. Something he hadn't done since he was a pre-pubescent schoolboy. Ryan turned away, for once in his life he didn't want to brag about his sex life. Not even to his brother.

"Wow. You aren't gonna spill the beans?"

Turning back to Brett, he tried to smile and make the whole thing seem like no big deal even if he felt it was. "Not yet. Didn't get very far, but it looks promising," he lied.

"I bet she's hot in the sack."

Ryan ground his teeth together and clenched his fists. He would not punch his brother in the face for his crude observation, even if it was true. Claire was hot in bed—and in the kitchen—but Brett would never hear that from Ryan's lips, and he certainly wouldn't be finding out on his own.

"Knock it off. There's nothing to tell, and you shouldn't talk about Claire like that."

"Well, well, well. Has little brother gone and fallen for the woman next door?"

"Don't be stupid, Brett." Ryan took a step closer to his brother.

Brett held his hands up. "Wow, calm down. I'm just mucking around."

Ryan relaxed, his fists unclenching. "Sorry, guess I'm a little tired from all the extra hours we've put in with the delay in construction."

"No worries, Ryan. I know how crabby you get when you aren't getting any." Brett grinned and ducked as Ryan threw a punch at him. "Still not quick enough to get me, little brother."

Ryan's stomach shook with the laughter he tried not to let out. His brother always seemed to defuse any fight they had. They'd never really come to serious blows in their entire lives, and at twenty-nine and thirty-five it didn't look like they ever would.

"Nah, just didn't want to put the old man in the hospital." Ryan grinned, the old, well-used banter between them settling his agitated nerves.

Brett's laughter drew the attention of some of the men, and he slung an arm around Ryan's shoulders, pulled him in close, and bumped his hat off to ruffle his hair. "You young whippersnapper, you."

Ryan pulled free of Brett's grip and gave him a shove before stooping to pick up his headgear. "Knock it off. You're just jealous I can still pull women while they're all passing you by in favor of us younger more strapping blokes." Ryan puffed his chest out and flexed his arms.

Doubled over with laughter, Brett couldn't answer him. Ryan smiled and turned to go back to the office. Before he could stop himself, he pulled his phone from his pocket and checked the display.

"Just ring her, you douche bag," Brett called out from behind him.

Groaning, Ryan climbed the stairs to the office and entered the relative privacy of the small metal box. Throwing his butt into his chair, he began scrolling through his address book to find the number he'd looked up earlier today. He hit call and brought the device to his ear just as the line connected and began to ring.

Chaos Rules!

Where's Maxwell when I need him? Or maybe just the cone of silence? *sigh*

I honestly don't remember Christmas ever being this stressful. Not even when the tribe were little did I feel this out of control. It's like I'm digging a hole in the sand. The more I shovel out the move slides back in. There's the usual Christmas to-do list plus the writing to-do list and neither seems to be getting shorter no matter how many things I scratch off. This whole week has flown by and now it's Friday again (well it will be in a few hours) and we're a week closer to 'the visit' and I'm still not ready for that. Princess One and I ventured out to the shops today and it took us half an hour to get into the parking lot never mind find an empty spot. By the time we'd done that I was exhausted and we hadn't made it into any shops yet! We did walk away with too many bags to count and credit cards that whimpered from abuse but we're that much closer. Oh, and I finally got my Christmas cards posted. Yay me!

Tomorrow and Saturday are writing days. I'm doing a few household chores tonight and first thing in the morning but then I'll be bum-down-fingers-on-keyboard writing, writing, writing. I have to finish the polish/edit (aka slash'n'burn) on SSS and then it's full steam ahead on STB. I'm hoping to get STB done before Christmas so that I can finally get back to the coyotes. Really need to tell Brady and Kat's story. And then there's the other coyote story that needs to be written. Dale and Tatum were never in the plan but then I've never written to a plan. :) Kinda like my life.

Six Sentence Sunday – Coyote Whispers Pt5 – #sixsunday

Another week and another six! We're back with Doc and Steve, and we're picking up exactly where we left off.

Her pants came next but he missed the unveiling of her panties as he pulled his shirt over his head. Steve's breath snagged in his chest when he spotted the matching underwear. Dear God, she'd kill him without laying a hand on him. He went to work on his pants, his cock sprang free and Doc dropped to her knees in front of him, her hot breath bathed the head seconds before she swallowed him whole.

"Fuck!"

Doc took him in as deep as she could.

Snippet Saturday – Secondary Character

Welcome to my first Snippet Saturday! This week's theme is Secondary Character so I've chosen Dale from my Coyote Hunger series. Dale appears in three of the coyote books but it's the latest book,  Coyote Whispers  that gives us more insight into this character. The section I've picked is in Coyote Whispers hero's POV but we get a glimpse of something or someone that could possible bring this brooding big man to his knees. Enjoy.

Book three in the Coyote Hunger series.

"Doc" Gordie has tried to keep Steve McKenna at arm's length, but the sexy coyote shifter is under her skin, in her blood and in her heart. No matter how much she fears what he makes her feel, she can't bear to stay away. After he rescues her from a vicious attack, Gordie is helpless to deny the sizzling attraction burning between them.

There hasn't been a day Steve has not wanted Doc in his bed, but bruised and bloody is not what he had in mind. The need for revenge is riding his coyote—almost as much as his aching desire to finally claim Doc as his own. But that will have to wait. He must first convince Doc the safest place for her is by his side. When a second attack draws them together, suppressed needs explode, leaving no doubt where they both belong. But danger is never far behind and Gordie is forced to make a fatal decision that could destroy all they've worked so hard to discover.

*****

As he approached the living room, he could hear raised voices. They got louder the closer he got and he quickened his pace, determined to stop them before it became a yelling match.

"Hey, keep it down, you'll wake Doc."

The sight before him amused and confused him. Dale stood with the pint-sized Tatum right up in his face. For someone who'd barely functioned a few minutes ago, she'd made a swift recovery. She'd backed the sheriff up against the wall and had a finger prodding him in the chest. Both turned toward him as he entered the room.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"Doc is here?" Tatum stepped away from Dale.

Dale grabbed her by the arm. "I told you you weren't seeing her tonight."

"And I told you to stop manhandling me." She tried to pry his fingers from her skin. "I'd hate to see how you treat criminals if this is how law-abiding citizens are handled."

The sheriff dropped her arm like it was a hot rock. "Tatum."

"Sheriff."

Steve watched as they stared each other down and much to his surprise Dale broke away first. He watched the sheriff close his eyes and run a hand down his face. "Tatum, Doc is resting. She had a…scare earlier and isn't up to seeing a patient."

"I'm not a patient. But you haven't given me two seconds to explain myself so it's no wonder you've jumped to the wrong conclusion."

"Tatum, what were you doing out on the road?" Steve asked.

"I came up here after I called in at the café. The woman behind the counter said Doc and Kat were here and she thought Doc might need me," she explained.

"Need you?"

"I'm a nurse. Doc's nurse, actually, but I'm not due to start until after the fifteenth of next month." She walked over to the couch, one hand pressed to the small of her back making her pregnant belly stick out more. Slowly, she lowered to the cushions. "Damn, I must have pulled something trudging through the snow."

"You walked up here?" Dale barked.

"No, stupid. I drove, but I slid on some ice about ten minutes down the road and ended up in a ditch. I walked the rest of the way but then it started to snow and I got colder by the second. I'd just popped the lock on the cop car out front when you two came to my rescue."

"You broke into my car?"

Steve smiled. Tatum didn't seem like such a law-abiding citizen right now. She ignored Dale and kept on with her story.

"Look, I know this is strange but the woman at the café made it sound as if Doc had been hurt and I couldn't just go on over to Gramps' house without checking she was all right." She slumped back against the couch with a sigh. "By the time I reached the end of the driveway my legs were shaking with exhaustion as well as the cold and I was worried I'd collapse in the snow. I thought if I could flip on the siren someone would hear."

"I'm sorry Wendy worried you and put you in danger, but Doc isn't hurt," Steve said.

"Um…Steve?"

"What?" He turned to look behind him at Kat.

"How many bedrooms does this place have?" Kat asked.

"Four. Why?" He glanced past Kat and through the windows running the length of the room. "Oh shit."

"Yeah, that's what I was thinking," Kat said.

He walked over to join her. On the other side of the glass he could see the deck, along with the rapidly accumulating layer of snow covering it. More snow fell in a thick blanket that blocked out the view of the timber railing twenty feet away, never mind the forest beyond.

"Damn. Doesn't look good." Brogan stepped up next to him. "Does anyone know what the weather's supposed to be like?"

"Yeah, we're due for a storm tomorrow. Looks like it moved in early," Dale answered.

"Jesus. I guess I'll go drag out the extra bedding." Steve turned from the window. "How many of us are there?"

"I can share with Kat if she's all right with that and it makes things easier," Tatum said.

"I'm fine with that but don't you dare have that baby in the bed next to me." Kat glared at her.

Tatum laughed. "It's babies and they're not due for another three months."

Dale made a choking sound next to him and Steve turned to see a red-faced sheriff.

"Three months? You look like you're ready to pop now." Rowan sat on the couch next to Tatum. "So you're about four months ahead of me then. And El's pregnant too, but only just. Looks like there'll be lots of new babies next year."

"Tatum, can I have a word please?" Dale walked over and reached for her hand. "In private."

Steve thought he saw her hesitate but then she placed her hand in Dale's and allowed him to pull her to her feet, quickly disengaging their hands when she was steady. His friend seemed lost for a moment and Steve realized he had no idea where to go to have their talk.

"Down the hall, first door on the left is my office. You can use that if you like," Steve offered.

"Thanks. I'll bunk on the couch tonight. Just toss some blankets out and I'll fix it up when I'm ready," Dale said.

"No need. The sofa in the office is a pull-out. Everyone else can take a bedroom."

"Oh, okay. We'll be back in a minute." Dale gripped Tatum's elbow and all but dragged her out of the room.

Steve couldn't help think there was more going on with that pair but he couldn't see how when Tatum hadn't been in the mountains for years and was obviously pregnant with someone's babies.
