The National Rifle Association's Excuse Holds No Water

The National Rifle Association and its supporters are pushing back against conservatives who have accused the NRA of selling out to the left. The NRA worked with Democrats to carve out an exception from a new anti-free speech piece of legislation.

As the Wall Street Journal notes, "Under the NRA carve-out in the House bill, the new rules won't apply to any organizations that have been around for more than 10 years, have more than a million members and receive less than 15% of their funding...

The Christianity Scam

The Christ died. On the third day he rose again from the dead. There will be a last day and he will return to judge the living and the dead.

As the Bible says, "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some." (1 Cor. 9:22).

Christ told St. Paul, "I am sending you to [the Gentiles:] to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of ...

An Inconvenient Truth: Bob Bennett and Tim Bridgewater Together

Months ago I told you Bob Bennett and Tim Bridgewater were cutting a deal. I got so much blowback from so many people I actually had to remove the post from the front page of RedState. I stood by the story, but the brouhaha that resulted necessitated the post going into draft mode so we could get on with the day.

Well, I was and am right. And it is more and more clear that Tim Bridgewater is playing seriously dirty in Utah with the help of Bob Bennett cronies.

First, as I said back them...

The Wall Street Journal Takes the NRA to Task For Its Sell Out to the Left

The Wall Street Journal has a fantastic editorial about just how awful the NRA's carveout deal with the Democrats is.

The NRA may swing a big lobbying stick by virtue of the breadth and voting power of its members, but it draws its legitimacy from the Constitution and it has drawn support on gun rights from those who care about the entire Bill of Rights. Cutting a special deal at the expense of the First Amendment with lawmakers who have decided for now to stop gutting the Second Amendment...

Republican Senators Declare Themselves Gutless Wonders

The Politico has a story about Republican Senators running away from Sharron Angle. It includes this gem of gutless wonderdom:

Several Senate Republicans told POLITICO that they don't favor privatizing Social Security, as Angle has supported. Small government conservatives said it doesn't make sense to eliminate the Energy and Education departments – as she's called for in the past. And some recoiled at the thought of pulling the United States out of the United Nations, a position Angle has...

Add Federal Judge Stephen Robinson to the "Must Impeach" List

When Republicans take back Congress, they need to take seriously the issue of federal judges being impeached. Just the other week, a federal judge in Washington ordered the government to act in a way the Supreme Court had already said could not be ordered.

Now, a federal judge in New York has thrown out the American standard of one man - one vote. Federal judge Stephen Robinson has given people the right to vote six times each.

Arthur Furano voted early — five days before Election Day. And...

Pamela Gorman Drives the Left Crazy

I don't know what it is about attractive, powerful, conservative women, but they drive the left absolutely crazy.

That's just another reason to support Pamela Gorman. In the Arizona State Senate, Pamela was willing to be the lone vote against matters and was willing to drop amendments on popular legislation to kill it because, while popular among politicians, the legislation would be detrimental to freedom.

The left hates women like that — pro-life, pro-gun, pro-freedom conservatives.

You...

Barack Obama Embraces His Inner Jimmy Carter

"Barack Obama, like Jimmy Carter before him, has proven himself overwhelmed by the job, not up to the task, and looking for answers in all the wrong places. Let's hope the nation can survive him."

Perhaps it is because his chief speechwriter has spent the crisis playing beer pong in Georgetown bars. Perhaps it is because while embracing peak oil, the oil spill never piqued his blue state interests since it affected red states.

Whatever the reason, Barack Obama gave the most depressing...

To Democrats, Words Are More Dangerous Than Physical Violence

The Democrats are crying foul over a college student videotaping Congressman Etheridge's assault.

You see, it was a right-wing ambush and Bob Etheridge was justified in assaulting the college student. Caught on tape, Etheridge pulled the student's hand toward him and the student asked to be released. Etheridge refused.

This all happened after the student asked Etheridge if the Congressman supported the Obama agenda.

Contrast this to the Democrats' handling of the George Allen incident....
