Didn't They Do This For Specter and Crist Too?

Remember, John Cornyn said the NRSC had learned its lesson.

Remember, John Cornyn said the NRSC would now stay out of primaries.

Why then is the Wall Street Journal reporting John Cornyn is off to Colorado to campaign with Jane Norton?

First, it is a recognition that Ken Buck's campaign is ahead of the NRSC's chosen campaign.

Second, it is a recognition that the NRSC has the integrity of Charlie Crist and Arlen Specter, both of whom the NRSC supported.

The NRSC lost Nevada to Sharron Angle and...

Even the New York Times Notices

When even the New York Times notices Barack Obama's ban on all offshore drilling is unreasonable, he has a serious problem.

More troubling, Barack Obama wants British Petroleum to pay for the losses rig operators are suffering because of his imposed ban. Does anyone really think they are reasonable for that? Seriously? More importantly, will the trust operator?

Probably not.

Obama is promising a bag of goods to people who are now out of work because he overreacted after underperforming for...

Democrats Kill Free Checking Accounts

Democrats, devoid of basic economic sense, continue to screw consumers with laws against business with very foreseeable consequences. Case in point: banks now are getting rid of free checking accounts.

Why?

Well, banks have been giving free checking accounts, but then charging irresponsible check holders overdraft fees for drawing more money out their accounts than is there.

In other words, only the spendthrifts pay.

But Congress now says banks cannot charge overdraft fees without first getting ...

Joe Barton, Honesty, and Shakedowns

Let's be honest. The White House meeting with British Petroleum was a shakedown.

The White House threatened criminal prosecution of BP, the President gave a miserably received speech, then he hauled BP into the White House and put the Attorney General in the room with the CEO to stare at him, then the President demanded $20 billion.

It was a shakedown.

Had British Petroleum affiliated with Al Qaeda and tried to blow up an airplane, it would have gotten due process rights, a court appointed...

Better the Christian Hating Lesbian Than the Black Man

Stuff like this is probably why Alvin Greene is the Democrats' Senate candidate in South Carolina.

Greene, a man with no home, no money, and no job, beat the Democrats' hand picked candidate for the right to lose to Jim DeMint in South Carolina. The Democrats are pounding their fists on the table claiming it was a dirty trick.

This is an intentional distraction. Why is it a distraction? Because otherwise the media would be pointing out that a man who spent no money at all and had zero name r...

Joe Miller for US Senate

At midnight last night my phone rang. It was Joe Miller calling from Alaska. It's the first we've spoken on the phone, though we've traded emails and I've certainly been intrigued by his candidacy.

Sarah Palin has gotten on board. The Tea Party Express has gotten on board. Conservatives from around the country are rallying to him against Lisa Murkowski — one of Mitch McConnell's loyal lieutenants who he keeps in place to shut down people like Jim DeMint and the fiscal conservatives in the ...

An NRA Board Member Takes on the NRA

Cleta Mitchell is a member of the NRA's board and the kind soul who reviewed my CNN contract for me. She's a terrific champion of liberty and is in the Washington Post this morning with some harsh words for the NRA.

[T:]he NRA has, sadly, affirmed the notion held by congressional Democrats (and some Republicans), liberal activists, the media establishment and, at least for now, a minority on the Supreme Court that First Amendment protections are subject to negotiation. The Second Amendment...

We Should Not Be Surprised By Barack Obama's Speech

"Mr. President, windmills will not clean up this mess and windmills will not fuel my car and get me to work. It is that simple."

While conservatives have had a marvelous time laughing at Barry O the Butt Kicker who can't plug the darn hole, none of us should expect anything else from him.

Whether conservatives, independents, and liberals want to admit it or not, the platitudes Barack Obama pronounced Tuesday night are all he can say on the subject of the oil spill. That might make your head ...
