Jane Norton in Full Meltdown. Takes a Page From Tim Bridgewater's Playbook

The United States Chamber of Bailouts has gone to Colorado to endorse the person they view as most likely to vote for bailouts in the future: Jane Norton.

In taking the Chamber's endorsement, like Tim Bridgewater before her, Jane Norton has decided to directly attack Senator Jim DeMint.

"DeMint lost more of his fair share," she said, reminding listeners that the senator's favored candidate in the California Senate race, Chuck DeVore, lost badly to Carly Fiorina. "Think about California."

There'...

Christine O'Donnell for U.S. Senate

I have to be honest with you, I think Christine O'Donnell's bid for the United States Senate will be difficult. She's a conservative in Delaware.

But she has my full support.

The thought of Mike Castle in the United States Senate makes me sick to my stomach.

There is one practical reason to support Mike Castle. People tell me he will vote for the Republicans in the Senate leadership contest, potentially putting the GOP in the majority.

But therein lies the problem with Castle. The man is to...

Shouldn't This Make Him An American Hero?

It's the 1990's. Janet Reno is Attorney General. Waco has happened. Columbine has happened. The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms is aggressively pursuing cases out west of suspected militia members. The ATF expanded the cases to gun dealers as the Clinton administration wanted to pursue further restrictions on how gun dealers could sell guns. United States Attorneys were using these cases to advance their careers.

Now, imagine you are an Assistant United States Attorney. The...

(202) 225-2815

It is not enough for either us or our Republican congressmen to sit on the sidelines with Obamacare's mandates ever approaching.

It is time to take action.

As I explained last week, Rep. Steve King has filed a discharge petition on legislation to repeal Obamacare. If he gets 218 signatures on his petition, Nancy Pelosi is forced to have a vote on the legislation whether she wants to or not.

The petition and accompanying legislation are not muddied down with the "repeal and replace" nonsense — j...

NRA Issues Gag Order to Its Board Members on Elena Kagan

image

Internal Senate emails confirmed by NRA Board Members are highlighting just how far the National Rifle Association has fallen.

The organization recently collaborated with the left to obtain a carve out of the DISCLOSE Act, legislation designed to silence bloggers and outside interest groups like tea party activists. This was a first amendment issue and the NRA gladly took a position and campaigned for its members to take a position on the DISCLOSE Act.

One of the NRA's chief arguments was...

Jane Norton's Own Polling Has Her Losing

Let's get this straight: SurveyUSA, an independent polling company, has Ken Buck leading by 16 points in Colorado.

So Jane Norton hires a pollster for her campaign and finds that . . . well that Jane Norton is losing by 4 points.

Now, of course Jane Norton is spinning this as a six point lead. Why? Well, her pollster asks people if they are likely to vote and says she leads with likely voters.

However, objectively, likely voters tend to factor in voters who actually are likely to vote, i.e...

Why Is Anyone Surprised by This Dave Weigel Business?

You can read Ben Smith's post here at the Politico on Dave Weigel.

A few points from me:

1. It is no surprise to me that Ben Smith is on Journolist too. I wonder if the push back by lefty oriented journalists over Sarah Palin complaining about that stalker moving in next door was coordinated on Journolist. Probably.

2. The most shocking story is a Journolist member leaking Dave Weigel's emails. Talk about stabbing a comrade in the back — particularly one who successfully infiltrated the...
