Melanie Dickerson is the New York Times bestselling author of happily-ever-after romance. She believes in love, laughter, afternoon tea, and the power of story.

With a million books sold and numerous awards, including two Christy Awards, two Golden Quills, a National Readers Choice Award, Christian Retailing’s Best, and Book Buyers’ Best Awards, her books have hit #1 in her category on the New York Times bestseller list.

When she’s not writing, Melanie can be found watching Pride and Prejudice for the hundredth time, cozying up to her handsome hero husband, or shaking her head at her slightly unhinged Jack Russell terrier. She lives in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachians near Huntsville, Alabama.

My new series begins with The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest, which comes out in May, and is a cross between Swan Lake and Robin Hood. But I also have a Rapunzel story coming out next fall, so ... yes. :-)(less)

Yes, I have more books coming! After The Princess Spy, the next book in the series, which is a Rapunzel story, is The Golden Braid and it comes out in November. Then I'm planning a Little Mermaid story about Colin's parents (Ranulf and Annabel's son's story). That one should be out in the fall of 2016.
In the meantime, I have a book coming out in May, The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest, which is the first book in a new series. Yay! :-) Can't wait for everyone to read it.
Thanks for your question, Lillie!(less)

“Perhaps time is an inconsistent healer, but God can purge even the most painful memories.”
Melanie Dickerson, The Merchant's Daughter

“For us mortals, love is greater than justice.”
Melanie Dickerson, The Merchant's Daughter

“God wants us all to strive to grow more like Jesus, to become holy as he is holy, but God has a specific purpose for each person. How could it not be so? Everyone in a village cannot be a baker, because who would then make the candles or shoe the horses or grow the food? God says we are like a body. . . . Just as the villagers are part of a village and have different tasks, we all have tasks to do for the Lord God.”
Melanie Dickerson, The Captive Maiden

Terry Bell Wow, I have to say this was an AWESOME book! I've been so busy with our in home daycare and with Scouts that I've only just sat down and had time to think about leaving you a MSG about your book.

message 17: by Terry

Terry Bell Btw. Can you please come to Barnes and Noble in Southlake Texas???

message 16: by Terry

Terry Bell I'm SO excited! I just downloaded The Fairest Beauty!! I'll be busy reading as soon as I log off here!!!

message 15: by Melanie

Melanie Dickerson Hahaha! It isn't my fault, Terry! My publisher thinks I should only release one book a year in this series, so they are holding them back! It's very frustrating to me too! The next one after The Fairest Beauty is also finished. I finished last April! But it won't come out until next October! Such is the publishing biz. :-(
But it makes me very happy that you are anxiously awaiting them!!! Please don't forget about me in the long wait between books!!! I appreciate my readers so much! You keep me encouraged!
God bless!

I think it might have been, the exterior shot looks a bit like it- that's why I provided the photo for comparison. I have only been inside one or two times (normally I'm outside to watch the joust/tournament etc) but I think there are some objects on display from the owner the Duke of Norfolk/Earl of Arundel's collections and such.

The major disappiontment for me was finding out that most of the castle as it stands today is not Medieval but a Victorian rebuild. Cheaters.

Melanie Dickerson Wow. Arundel Castle is beautiful. I would so love to visit it. Is it a museum?
I don't really know which castle photo they used, but for the indoor shots with the model, they filmed those in Colorado Springs at Shrove Chapel, which is on the campus of Colorado College.

English The Castle shown at the beginning of the Promotional video for 'The Healer's Apprentice' looks a lot like one that is a not far from my village, and which I have known since childhood.

This is Arundel Castle in Sussex http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?num=10... the one I refer to.
